Saenchai: Knockouts and Antics (Thai Fight)

07:33
Thai Fight KO highlight of the legendary nak muay Saenchai. Saenchai is a charismatic Muay Thai fighter who fights with an extremely tricky muay classic style. Until 2014 when he stopped fighting in Lumpinee stadium, Saenchai was considered the pound-for-pound number one in the world for over a decade, beating heavier and taller fighters with ease. Some of the fighters Saenchai has gained victories over include Petchboonchu, Sagetdao, Nong-O, Pakorn, Singdam, Yodvicha, Kongsak, Liam Harrison and many more. Here are Saenchai's highlights and knockouts from the Thai Fight show where he demonstrates his playful style to international audiences. Ramon Dekkers - Beautiful Brutality (Knockouts & Highlights) | Muay Thai

04:21
Muay Thai highlight of the legendary muay matt fighter Ramon Dekkers featuring battles with Thai and non-Thai opponents in Thailand and the rest of the world. Dekkers is a fighter famous for his incredible punching speed and power. He applied relentless pressure and threw barrages of punches - most notably, hooks and uppercuts - in an attempt to KO his opponent. Against the Thais, Dekkers rarely won on points; the Thais would often technically and tactically outsmart him but his punching was so vicious that a knockout blow was only one left hook away. Some of the fighters featured in this video include Superlek Sorn Esarn, Sangtiennoi Sor Rungroj, Cherry Sor Wanich, Nampon Nongkeepayayuth, Dida Diafat, Coban Lookchaomaesaitong, Joe Prestia, Orono Por Muang Ubon and Sakmongkol Sithchuchoke. #muaythai Freelance work https://www.upwork.com/o/profiles/users/_~01176645f12a9ee40b Blog http://www.muaythaischolar.com LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/aaronjahn Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MuayThaiScholar Twitter: https://twitter.com/MuayThaiScholar Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/muaythaischolar Music: Aries Beats - Dreams https://soundcloud.com/aries4rce/dreams Creative Commons license https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/

When Lerdsila Enters the Matrix | Muaythai/Kickboxing Highlights

03:06
Evasive Muaythai/kickboxing highlight of matrix fighter Lerdsila Chumpairtour. Lerdila Chumpairtour Phuket Top Team is one of the most mesmerising fighters to grace the modern era of Muay Thai. Not only has he demonstrated some of the most incredible matrix style defence work to date with his lean-backs and other sneaky evasive manoeuvres, he also has a huge arsenal of Muay Thai sweeps and trips. Dany Bill - The Technical Genius (Highlights) | Muay Thai

06:51
Muay Thai highlight of the greatest non-Thai fighter of all time (IMO) - Dany Bill. Dany Bill was a muay fimeu fighter or 'technical boxer' who fought in Thailand and around the world in the 1990s and beyond. He became a world champion at 18 years of age and went on to win another 7 world titles during a lengthy career. Dany is well-known (although not well-known enough outside of die-hard Muay Thai fans) for his incredible technical and tactical prowess; in particular, his immaculately executed Muay Thai sweeps. In my opinion, no other non-Thai fighter in history technically and tactically outsmarted the best Thais in the world like Bill did. Many foreigners, especially in recent times, have beaten Thais by having a strength/power/size advantage, but I have never seen a foreigner outclass the Thais like Dany Bill did time and time again. Some of his most impressive victories came against fighters like Nokweed Davy, Den Muangsurin, Panomrunglek Chor Sawad, Nongmoon, Saimaisuk Chuwattana, Samarth Galaxy Gym, Ramon Dekkers, Hassan Kassrioui, Dendanai Ekawit, Sayid Khan, Kraingkai sor Vorapin, Orono Por Muang Ubon, Joel Cesar, Joe Prestia, Sangtiennoi Sor Rungroj, and Kenichi Ogata. Dany Bill currently resides in France and conducts Muay Thai seminars all over the world. Samart Payakaroon - P4P Greatest (Muay Thai Highlight)

05:20
Muay Thai highlight of legendary technical fighter Samart Payakaroon. Samart Payakaroon was an elusive technician (muay fimeu) who is considered by many to be the greatest Thai boxer in the history of the sport. He was an elusive technician with great boxing skills who had incredible energy economy and composure. Samart was so hard to hit that he did not receive a single cut in a 150-fight career; this is extremely rare for a Thai boxer. He used hi famous side-teep to create the perfect distance between him and his opponent, and drew them into his hard hitting knockout punches. Samart won the Lumpinee title at 105 lbs, 108 lbs, 115 lbs and 126 lbs, and also won the "Fighter of the Year" award 3 times in 1981, 1983 and 1988. Rob Kaman "Mr. Low Kick" Knockouts & Highlights [Muaythai/Kickboxing]

08:44
Muay Thai and kickboxing highlight of The Dutchman, Rob Kaman, AKA "Mr. Low Kick". Rob Kaman is a former professional Dutch kickboxer and Muay Thai fighter from Amsterdam who fought during the 1980s and 1990s. He won 9 world titles in several different Muay Thai and kickboxing promotions, and was often referred to as "Mr. Low Kick" due to his immense kicking power which led to him securing many wins via low kick KO. Having played youth football at Ajax, Rob decided that team sports weren't something he wanted to pursue, and began training in several different martial arts and combat sports at age 16 including Pentjak Silat, kickboxing and Muay Thai. Kaman turned pro in Holland in 1980 (aged 20) and began fighting in Thailand a few years later, securing wins against some of Thailand's top fighters including Payap Premchai, Changpuek Kiatsongrit, Samart Prasarnmit, Dennoi, Lakchart Sor Prasartporn, Sittisak, Hansu Premchai and Bunshima Roong. In an interview with Siam Fight Mag, Kaman stated that his encounters with Changpuek were the toughest of all, winning once out of their 4 contests. The main obstacle that prevented Kaman from competing in Thailand more often was his fighting weight of 80kg which was far heavier than the most competitive Thai weight classes. Outside of Thailand, Kaman was almost untouchable in his prime and defeated a host of great foreign kickboxers and Muay Thai fighters including Ernesto Hoost, Blinky Rodriquez, John Moncayo, Ernest Simmons, Jean-Yves Thériault, Rick van der Vathorst, Jerome Turcan, Rick van der Vathorst and Adam Watt. He ended his career in 1999 with 98 wins, 12 losses, 1 draw and 2 NC. Seventy-seven of his wins came by way of KO/TKO (69% KO percentage). Honours; K-2 France Grand Prix 1995 champion I.S.K.A. Dekkers vs Coban - The Rivalry | Muay Thai Highlights

05:18
Ramon Dekkers vs Coban Lookchaomaesaitong - fight highlights of all 4 of their encounters. The Dekkers vs Coban fights are some of the most famous match-ups of a generation. Both fighters possessed huge heart and refused to give in, which made these battles legendary. Fight #1 took place in Paris, France on April 21st 1991. The fight ended very quickly, with Coban knocking out Dekkers in the very first round with a left hook. Later that year on August 6th, Dekkers seeked revenge for hs earlier defeat. This time, the Thais had invited Dekkers to the most prestigious of Thai stadiums - Lumpinee. The fight was televised around the world, and Coban was the clear favourite to take the victory once more. What happened in that fight will remain in the memories of fight fans forever - Dekkers knocked out the Thais 2x Lumpinee champion in their own stadium. This is the first time such an event had occurred - a foreigner getting a KO victory over one of the best in Thailand - at Lumpinee! The scores were even - one KO victory for Dekkers and one for Coban. The scene was set for another epic battle... February 28th 1992 Samut Prakan, Thailand, was the time and place of the much-anticipated 3rd bout between the pair. Both fighters started much slower in this matchup, both knowing that they were only one hook away from defeat. However, Coban prevailed after knocking Dekkers down twice in the fourth round and getting the points victory. This almost looked like a stroll in the park for Coban; a very comfortable victory in his own back yard. In 1993, the fourth and final bout took place in the same place as the first - France. Dekkers was keen to even up the scores, and did so with a points victory after some great middle kicks. Muay Thai highlight of golden era Thai boxer Chamuekpet Hapalang. Chamuekpet was an aggressive knee fighter who had unprecedented success in the 1990s or "golden age" of Muay Thai. He held an unbelievable 9 titles all at once in his peak as a nak muay - 4 Lumpinee belts and 5 Rajadamnern belts. He was normally the bigger, stronger fighter in his contests and used his strengths to his advantages by stalking his opponents and landing powerful knee strikes in the clinch when in range. He was also a very well-rounded fighter outside of clinching range and won several bouts by knockout using his fists. He won the K-1 World Grand Prix 2004 in Seoul tournament by beating Denis Kang, Tsuyoshi Nakasako and Shingo Koyasu in the finals, and was the lightest and youngest fighter ever to win an open-weight tournament of this nature. Kaoklai had a reputation for taking on fighters of any size, any time, and showing that size is no obstacle for a muay Thai fighter from Northeastern Thailand with over 100 professional fights to his name. He is also the focal-point for the most famous muay Thai photograph of all time which is his knockout kick of Mighty Mo (the third fight featured in the video). Somrak's Amazing Head Movement | Muay Thai

03:21
Muay Thai highlight demonstrating Somluck Khamsing's head movement in Thai boxing bouts. Somrak is an Olympic Gold boxing medalist who never got a shot at the big stadium titles in Thailand but is considered one of the best nak muays in history. His head movement and defensive work in general is one of the most efficient (and probably the most beautiful) in the sport. He has made some of the best fighters on Earth look like amatuers. One example of this is his bout with multiple-time Lumpinee champion Boonlai Sor Thanikul. Boonlai is also considered one of the best ever but didn't even come close to breaking down Somrak's defence. Amazing. Saenchai Highlight

10:27
Muay Thai/Kard Chuek/kickboxing highlight of the legendary Saenchai. Saenchai is undoubtedly one of the greatest fighters ever. He has won Lumpinee titles at several different weight classes in Thailand and continues to fight above his natural weight even today when he is in his thirties. Saenchai's unique style of muay Thai is unmistakable; he has the ability to pull off risky (and entertaining) manouvers that no other fighter is capable of doing. Oley Kiatoneway - The Art of Protecting Points | Muay Thai

03:14
Highlight of legendary fighter Oley Kiatoneway's defensive genius against Chamuekpet Hapalang. In Thailand, when a fighter gains a significant points advantage he often looks to consolidate his win by fighting defensively and effectively "shutting up shop", avoiding any further damage and only picking his opponents off with counters. In this fight, Oley knocks his opponent down early on in the fight and immediately begins protecting his lead, basically fighting by walking backwards for three or four rounds. Oley normally fights in a similar style to this anyway since he is a master technician, but to have the confidence and the ability to do it for such an extended period against a man who simultaneously held five Rajadamnern titles and four Lumpinee titles is something very special. You've just witnessed a genius at work. Muay Thai highlight of the legendary Changpuek Kiatsongrit. Changpuek is an international Muay Thai superstar and was one of the first Thai fighters to fight abroad against combatants of different styles in order to demonstrate the effectiveness of Muay Thai to the world. Changpuek's punching/low kick style was extremely watchable. His low kick knockout of American kickboxer Rick Roufus is one of the most memorable muaythai vs kickboxing fights in history, and transformed the thoughts and beliefs of many martial artists and combat sports athletes around the world. Buakaw's Finest Moments (Knockouts & Highlights) | Muaythai/Kickboxing

06:50
Muay Thai and kickboxing highlight of the most well-known Thai boxer in history - Buakaw Banchamek. Buakaw is a Thai boxing legend and the greatest ambassador the sport has ever seen (in my opinion). Buakaw - K1 World Max 2004 Domination (Highlights)

05:05
Highlight of Muay Thai and K-1 fighter Buakaw Por Pramuk at the K-1 World Max 2004 Final. On July 7th 2004, a fighter named Buakaw Por Pramuk from a small village in Surin, Thailand shot to superstardom on the world stage in Tokyo, Japan. He fought three opponents in one night and outclassed every one of them, using his muay Thai style to great effect against an Australian nak muay and two Japanese kickboxers in a K-1 rules set. His opponents on the night were John Wayne Parr, Takayuki Kohiruimaki and Masato Kobayashi. Masato was Japan’s most famous kickboxer at the time, and was a strong favourite to win the tournament. Prior to the win, Buakaw was not well-known around the world – especially outside of the muay Thai community. Although he had won the Omnoi stadium title and the Toyota cup in Thailand, he had never won a coveted Lumpinee or Rajadamnern title. After his domination of his opponents on the night, Buakaw became a huge star across the globe and is still the most well-known muay Thai fighter of all time. He went on to win the K-1 Mx tournament for a second time two years later… “I thought maybe this could be the day that I show the world what muay Thai is…” ~ Buakaw Buakaw Por. Masters of the Teep Vol.1 | Muay Thai

A video that highlights the use of the "teep" or push kick by some of the best ever to implement this most fundamental weapon in a muay Thai fighter's arsenal. The teep is used to create distance, control the pace of the fight, prevent an incoming attack, cause hesitation and discomfort, disrupt breathing, and even KO an opponent. The muay Thai teep is the most effective way to control the centre-line in combat sports and has been proven time and time again when Thai boxers like Buakaw, Kaew Fairtex, Kaoklai Kaennorsing and others have switched to K1 rules and dominated their opponents using this weapon. Anantasak's Range Control Mastery | Muay Thai

03:53
Muay Thai highlight of Anantasak Panyuthapum's precision in controlling the range of a fight. In this video, Anantasak's ability to keep his opponent exactly where he wants him is highlighted. This strong golden era fighter uses several weapons to keep Singdam O Aukritt at arms length for the entire contest; the two main weapons he uses are his jab and his thigh/hip teep. The jabs thrown are minimal in commitment, i.e. he doesn't step forward a great deal - sometimes not stepping his rear foot in at all. He springs right back to his starting position to avoid the counter and draws Singdam onto one of his attacking blows such as his trademark rear uppercut or elbow. His teeps are also thrown at close range, and do not rise above hip level. Again, this keeps Singdam within striking distance at all times which allows Anantasak to dictate the range of the fight. The jabs set up the teeps and the teeps set up the jabs... The slow-motion elbow is the strike that cuts Singdam and effectively ends the fight. In their first encounter, Anantasak finishes the fight with the exact same elbow and set up. This fight took place at Lumpinee stadium in 1993, and serves as a muay Thai masterclass in controlling the distance of a fight (and opponent). The Teep Beats EVERYTHING (Superlek | Kongsak | Panpayak) | Muay Thai Teep

03:28
A Muay Thai Teep compilation featuring three legendary modern-day technical fighters - Superlek Kiatmoo9, Kongsak Sitboonme and Panpayak Jitmuangnon. The Muay Thai teep is one of the most fundamental and versatile techniques at a Thai boxer's disposal. It serves several different purposes in a Muay Thai fight such as intercepting an incoming strike, creating distance, inducing hesitation, mopping up after a failed attack, causing discomfort, and disrupting the breathing and rhythm of an opponent. Every technical fighter from Thailand has mastered the teep. The reason it is such an important technique to any Muay Thai fighter is that it has the potential to beat any other technique when the timing is right. The lower limbs are a fighter's longest (and strongest) weapons, and the teep has the longest reach out of any Muay Thai technique performed by the lower limb. Therefore, the teep has capabilities beyond that of a punch, kick, knee or elbow; it is capable of intercepting ANY technique before it reaches its target. It is the realisation of our absolute 'reach', and has the capacity to dominate a fight and to facilitate the successful execution of any other strike. This video features Superlek Kiatmoo9, Kongsak Sitboonme and Panpayak Jitmuangnon. Chatchai Paiseetong - Technical Perfection (Highlight) | Technical Fighters

03:46
Muay Thai highlight of technical fighter Chatchai Paiseetong (AKA Samart 2). Chatchai Paiseetong was an amazingly technical fighter with textbook Muay Thai strikes who had great success during the golden era of muay Thai and was touted as the next Samart Payakaroon. His success, though, was shortlived as he struggled to maintain fight weight and fought well above his optimal weight class. Certainly, in terms of pure talent, Chatchai Paiseetong was up there with the very best. Sadly, Chatchai passed away in 2002, collapsing shortly after his last fight.
