The Ten Commandments movie clips: http://j.mp/15vUTyR BUY THE MOVIE: http://amzn.to/sAaWEH Don't miss the HOTTEST NEW TRAILERS: http://bit.ly/1u2y6pr CLIP DESCRIPTION: Moses (Charlton Heston) parts the Red Sea for the Hebrews to escape the Egyptians' pursuit. FILM DESCRIPTION: Based on the Holy Scriptures, with additional dialogue by several other hands, The Ten Commandments was the last film directed by Cecil B. DeMille. The story relates the life of Moses, from the time he was discovered in the bullrushes as an infant by the pharoah's daughter, to his long, hard struggle to free the Hebrews from their slavery at the hands of the Egyptians. Moses (Charlton Heston) starts out "in solid" as Pharoah's adopted son (and a whiz at designing pyramids, dispensing such construction-site advice as "Blood makes poor mortar"), but when he discovers his true Hebrew heritage, he attempts to make life easier for his people. Banished by his jealous half-brother Rameses (Yul Brynner), Moses returns fully bearded to Pharoah's court, warning that he's had a message from God and that the Egyptians had better free the Hebrews post-haste if they know what's good for them. Only after the Deadly Plagues have decimated Egypt does Rameses give in. As the Hebrews reach the Red Sea, they discover that Rameses has gone back on his word and plans to have them all killed. But Moses rescues his people with a little Divine legerdemain by parting the Seas. Later, Moses is again confronted by God on Mt. Sinai, who delivers unto him the Ten Commandments. Meanwhile, the Hebrews, led by the duplicitous Dathan (Edward G. Robinson), are forgetting their religion and behaving like libertines. "Where's your Moses now?" brays Dathan in the manner of a Lower East Side gangster. He soon finds out. DeMille's The Ten Commandments may not be the most subtle and sophisticated entertainment ever concocted, but it tells its story with a clarity and vitality that few Biblical scholars have ever been able to duplicate. It is very likely the most eventful 219 minutes ever recorded to film--and who's to say that Nefertiri (Anne Baxter) didn't make speeches like, "Oh, Moses, Moses, you splendid, stubborn, adorable fool"? The Rumjacks - The Terrible Sea

01:20
This song in NO WAY BELONGS TO ME! I'm just passing it on. Because it's awesome. Artist: The Rumjacks Song: The Terrible Sea Album: Gangs of New Holland -Lyrics- The wind howled mournful and low, One hole in his heart, Left a note for his Mother to say, He'd be joinin' his Dad. He said "The Devil's all pissed, 'Cause I danced with his Daughter, I was born to be hung, So I don't fear the water, If he wants me he can chase me below, The Terrible Sea..." There's a pinch of tobacco, Tucked into the sleeve of his coat, And a dirty black penny, To pay the old man on the boat, He honours the rocks with a cruciform pole, Singin' "My Love is like a Red, Red Rose," In a single explosion he's gone, To the Terrible Sea

Atlantic and Pacific oceans joining at a point in mid ocean but do not mix each other | Unbelievable

01:28
On the temperature, salinity, and density differences between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans in the upper kilometre. Abstract The surface of the Pacific Ocean stands about 40 cm higher than the Atlantic Ocean with respect to the 1000-decibar surface, and the North Atlantic and North Pacific stand respectively about 14 and 17 cm higher than the South Atlantic and Pacific. The North Atlantic is warmest and saltiest, the South Atlantic is coldest and densest, and the North Pacific is least dense and least salty. The extreme values in temperature and salinity of the North Atlantic are probably related to the formation of the deep water there, which carries away from the upper layer the cold water of relatively low salinity. If this water spreads into the South Atlantic at depth and is replaced with warm saline surface water from the South Atlantic via the South Equatorial Current and the Gulf Stream, then the South Atlantic should be substantially cooler and less salty. The difference in density and sea level of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans may stem from the difference in latitude of the southern tips of America, Africa, and Australia, and the constriction of the west wind drift at Drake Strait. Only the densest surface waters of the Pacific pass through to the Atlantic, while lighter waters from lower latitudes of the South Atlantic pass eastward south of Africa. Further, the constriction of the flow by Drake Strait may result in a higher sea level on the Pacific side through the effect of Windstau (Montgomery, 1938). The density difference between the southern and northern oceans may be partly a consequence of the west wind drift around Antarctica. This is the greatest current of all oceans. Its flow is approximately geostrophically balanced and the surface slopes down to the south. The northern west wind drifts are not so strong, are at lower latitudes, and the high latitude flow is westward with slope upward to the north. These differences are not confined to the upper thousand metres. The average density difference between the Atlantic and the Pacific from the surface to the bottom is about 17 × 10−5 g/cm3. Referred to some deep surface such as 4000 decibars, the Pacific stands about 68 cm higher than the Atlantic.

Narrowboats "Thomas Telford" and "Sally" crossing Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, 30.10.09. High angle view.

04:01
Another attempt with the pole-mounted Nikon D90. Cruise boat "Thomas Telford" from Llangollen crosses with Aubrey at the helm and Helen and Phil as cabin crew, followed by Peter and Bev on "Sally". The towpath here is about 90 feet above the fields, increasing to nearly 127 feet over the bed of the river Dee. This view shows just why they call it "The Stream in the Sky", and it probably gives the best impression of the approach embankment from Fron, one of the biggest earthworks in Britain before the motorways were built. Charlie the dog just had to get in on the act, and a young lady in a spectacularly colourful hat illuminates the opening seconds! The noise is from tree trimming and shredding along the riverbank. Please excuse the dive into the towpath at the end; my improvised remote switch didn't work, and Windows Movie Maker is still on the blink! The "TT" operates daily between Llangollen Wharf (tel. 01978 860702) and Froncysyllte from the start of the Easter holidays to the end of October or, as this year, the first day of November. She cruises through over five miles of glorious scenery, making one two-hour trip each way with a bus connection included for the outward or homeward journey, whichever you choose to take. A commentary and friendly buffet service are provided. There are a few seasonal-themed "mince pie" cruises in December, too. Also from the Wharf, during the summer season horse drawn boats operate upstream, where power boats cannot go. See other clips on this channel for Tog, Taff, Stanley and Geordie at work! Waterfall incident in India sweeps family into the water

02:10
Had the irrigation and PWD departments been more sensitive, this incident would not have take place. We display this video in an effort to create awareness about the dangers of monsoon flash floods across India, and to pay homage and obeisance to the people involved in the incident. If we can create some awareness out of this video, some very modest amount of good can come out of the terrible tragedy that befell this family. We bow our heads to the loss of life and convey our deepest sympathies and condolences to the family concerned. Fortunately, there were also survivors in the group, despite the fall from a great height, with the flow of the waterfall. This tragic accident happened at the Patalpani waterfall in Indore, when a father and his 4 kids celebrated the MBA graduation of the oldest daughter and got surprised by the freak flood. A tragedy for these 3 family members resulted - the father and 2 girls died while the 2 boys are alive. This is the original video of the Indore Patalpani accident that was caused by a flash flood. Wilderness Films India has exclusive rights to this video. Three members of a family were drowned as flash flood caused a sudden flow of water in the famous Patalpani waterfall near Indore. N. Korean patrol boat crosses inter-Korean sea border in Yellow Sea

01:36
미사일 발사 하루만에 北경비정 NLL 침범 South Korea's defense ministry said on Monday that the North Korean patrol boat ignored several warning messages from the Navy before violating the Northern Limit Line. Soon after... five warning shots were fired, and the patrol boat retreated across the border. The vessel spent around 20 minutes on South Korean territory. (Korean) " At 6:55am one North Korean patrol boat crossed the NLL and ignored our warning broadcasts. We shot off warning shots and then it retreated." The ministry added that the nation's military remains on high alert after Pyongyang's long-range missile launch,… or what the North calls an Earth observation satellite. South Korea's Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff… Lee Sun-jin…. on Sunday said there is a high possibility Pyongyang could conduct an unexpected tactical provocation and ordered the military to maintain combat readiness. The North's patrol boats have often trespassed into South Korean waters on the NLL as the communist regime refuses to recognize the NLL… and demand the line be moved further south. The NLL was drawn unilaterally by the UN Command when the three year Korean war entered a cease-fire in 1953. The two Korea's have engaged in past conflicts near the maritime border in 1999, 2002, and 2009. Kim Hyun-bin, Arirang News. Wide pan of Panmunjom border STORYLINE: A North Korean army sergeant rescued at sea by the South Korean navy over the weekend was repatriated to the North on Wednesday. The US-run U.N. Command, which oversees the armistice that ended the three-year Korean War in 1953, oversaw the return of the officer in the border village of Panmunjom. The repatriation arrangements had been made after the officer was cleared of spying, a South Korean Defence Ministry official said on Tuesday. He spoke on condition of anonymity, citing department policy. The North Korean officer was plucked from a small boat that drifted on Sunday into South Korean waters off the divided peninsula's western coast, officials said. The North Korean officer reportedly told investigators he had been fishing when his boat strayed southward. The waters off the western coast are considered a rich crabbing area but have been the scene of three deadly naval skirmishes in the past decade, including one gunbattle last month. During questioning, the soldier expressed the desire to be sent back home. The two Koreas remain technically at war since the armistice has not been replaced by a peace treaty. North Korea disputes the western maritime border drawn by United Nations, and the rival Koreas fought a brief but deadly gunbattle last month off the west coast not far from where the North Korean military officer was found. One North Korean officer was killed and three others were wounded in the November gunfight, according to South Korean military officials. Tensions on the Korean peninsula have been high this year, with North Korea carrying out nuclear and missile tests, but Pyongyang has reached out recently to Seoul and Washington. US President Barack Obama is to send a special envoy to Pyongyang next week to try to entice North Korea to return to international nuclear disarmament talks. Media reports on warm ‘blob’ in Pacific Ocean Radioactive!

05:12
Media outlets are widely reporting on two recent studies in the journal Geophysical Research Letters describing a giant "blob" of warm water that may be responsible for recent ecological and weather anomalies across the United States -- from California's drought to the East Coast's severe winter to the thousands of dying sea lions washing up along the West Coast. The "blob" -- more precisely, the "warm anomaly" -- is a patch of ocean water just off the coast of the Pacific Northwest that is about 1,000 miles across, 300 feet deep, and 3 degrees Celsius (5 degrees Fahrenheit) warmer than usual. It received its nickname from Nick Bond of Washington State University, lead author of one of the new studies. Do the new studies actually explain what the media are claiming? Are there potential explanations that are being ignored? What did the studies find? Already, researchers have linked the blob to many of this past year's alarming ecological occurrences. Warmer water is less rich in nutrients, which scientists say has caused effects including a crash in the population of copepods (tiny animals that form the base of the ocean's food web) and the starvation of sea lion pups, causing thousands of the animals to strand themselves onshore. The warm water has also caused tropical fish to appear near Seattle. The new study by Bond and colleagues also links the blob to the recent weather disturbances. The researchers claim that the blob actually has an atmospheric cause: an unseasonal ridge of high-pressure air hovering above it. This high-pressure air (instead of the low-pressure air typical for the winter) has been associated with the ocean becoming unseasonably calm and warm, removing a major source of rain for the West Coast and contributing to California's drought and the West Coast's warmer-than-usual winter, according to the researchers. The second study traced the blob to another patch of unseasonably warm water, this one in the Tropics near the intersection of the Equator and the International Date Line. This warm water has been heating up the air above it, directly leading to the unseasonably warm patch of air that is heating the waters off the U.S. coast. "It's like throwing a rock into a pond," researcher Dennis Hartmann said. "The wave eventually makes its way to the other side." This same wave of warm air actually crosses the entire North American continent, the researchers found, eventually causing a wet, low-pressure system over the central and eastern United States. This system, called a "North Pacific Mode," contributed to this year's remarkably cold and snowy winter, the researchers claim. Although North Pacific Modes have been observed before, this past year's was more extreme and longer lasting than has been seen before. Potential Fukushima link not being investigated According to media reports, no one knows what has caused the unusually warm Tropical waters responsible for all of these climate and ecological effects. But some have asked whether radioactive material emitted into the ocean by the Fukushima disaster might not be partially responsible. In 2011, multiple meltdowns at Japan's Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant caused a flood of radioactive material to enter the Pacific Ocean. Since then, some observers have drawn attention to a trend of a rapidly warming Pacific Ocean. The question has been raised as to whether this could be caused by heated groundwater and radioactive waste from the Fukushima plant flowing into the Pacific, thereby slowly raising ocean temperatures over the past few years. Since this radioactive material has been continuously flowing from the plant over the past four years, this mass could have drifted out to sea and could still be heating water as a side effect of its ongoing radioactive decay.

Area 51 tour bus accidentally crosses the border into the base and gets an unfriendly welcome

05:42
LAS VEGAS -- A tour bus carrying visitors to the edge of the top secret Area 51 military base has done something that many people have only fantasized about doing. It crossed the line and entered the base. The driver and his four passengers learned a quick lesson about how serious Area 51 is about its boundary and its security. And the entire incident was captured on video. In the 25 years since I-Team reports first put the once unknown base on the map, tens of thousands of curious people have trekked out to take a peek. A few strayed over the line, on purpose, and were quickly scooped up. As far as we know, this is the first intrusion caught entirely on video and it nearly caused the tours to be shut down. Area 51's years in obscurity ended in 1989 when news reports about classified projects at the Nevada base set off a stampede of UFO seekers, aviation watchers, and media. The base is still a favored location for classified military projects, so security is justifiably tight. Motion detectors, high-tech cameras, the ominous cammo dudes and warning signs, which declare deadly force is authorized. The signs themselves have become photo ops, the money shot for guided outings like those operated for 15 years by Adventure Photo Tours. "Some of them are just curious. They don't know what it's about. Others believe they have been abducted. Other people believe they are aliens and they want to go back out there to hopefully get back home. We get all kinds of people," Adventure Photo Tours co-owner Donna Tryon said. Tryon says the typical tour includes stops at main shrines of Area 51 lore: the ET highway sign, the Little A'le'inn, and the holy of holies, the very edge of the base itself. But there is one thing the tour most certainly does not include. "Our guys make it a point to tell the passengers that, you know, you can't go over that line, and if you step over that line, you're on your own," Tryon said. But on May 28, it happened to driver Denis Ryan and his four passengers, all of it recorded, inside and out. The video shows Ryan and group having a good time, zipping toward the edge of 51. At precisely the wrong moment, one of the tourists asked Ryan a question about sports books. It was just enough of a distraction that he blew right past the warning signs, and kept on going. After 45 seconds or so, Ryan started looking around, wondering where the cammo dudes were. Less than two minutes after crossing the boundary, the passengers inform Ryan that a white truck is right on their tail. "A gentleman in full military garb gets out. The one on the passenger side, he had a fully automatic rifle," Ryan said. Ryan says the military men told him he had crossed the line and was trespassing on a military installation. Inside the vehicle, the tourists, a couple from the UK and a mother and son from the East Coast, thought it was all part of the tour, actors playing their part. "They said they would let the company know, 'you took us the extra mile.' They thought it was part of the whole process," Ryan said. They soon learned it was no act. "I apologize for this. Those are the Men in Black," Ryan told his tour. After Lincoln County deputies arrived, the driver and passengers were pulled out, cited for trespassing, and given court dates. The projected fine: $650 apiece and a misdemeanor conviction. Co-owner Will Tryon contacted Lincoln County District Attorney Dan Hogue and tried to get the out of state passengers off the hook. "We were afraid they would issue a bench warrant for these people, turn good tourists into criminals," Will Tryon said. But Hogue wasn't budging. He suspected it was done on purpose. The company decided that if the citations stuck, they would close down the tours to 51, which would be a blow to the fragile rural economy. What the DA didn't know until the I-Team contacted him is that the incident was on video. One look at video, and the expressions on these faces, and the DA knew it wasn't intentional. The driver has to pay but the passengers don't. Driver Denis Ryan is now barred for at least two years. Lincoln County has an arrangement with Area 51. It handles all trespassing cases. The DA told the I-Team that while tourism dollars are important to the county, so is the base, which generates a lot of tax revenue. After the I-Team told him about the video, the DA agreed to drop the charges against the passengers, but on one condition: that no video recorded by the van's forward camera be made public. That camera recorded cammo dudes coming from the other direction. WATCH IN HD!! SEND YOUR UFO SIGHTINGS AND VIDEOS IN A MESSAGE TO OUR YOUTUBE OR FACEBOOK PAGE! ACU 1056 Audiobook Part 1 of 2. Thunder Below!

01:26:55
Show 1056 Audiobook Part 1 of 2. Thunder Below!: The USS Barb Revolutionizes Submarine Warfare in World War II by Eugene B. Fluckey This was a great read. I have included a few stories from this book in these two shows. You can purchase and download the audiobook on audible or cd's from amazon. Overview of book- The thunderous roar of exploding depth charges was a familiar and comforting sound to the crew members of the USS Barb, who frequently found themselves somewhere between enemy fire and Davy Jones's locker. Under the leadership of her fearless skipper, Captain Gene Fluckey, the Barb sank the greatest tonnage of any American sub in World War II. At the same time, the Barb did far more than merely sink ships - she changed forever the way submarines stalk and kill their prey. This is a gripping adventure chock-full of "you-are-there" moments. Fluckey has drawn on logs, reports, letters, interviews, and a recently discovered illegal diary kept by one of his torpedomen. And in a fascinating twist, he uses archival documents from the Japanese Navy to give its version of events. The unique story of the Barb begins with its men, who had the confidence to become unbeatable. Each team helped develop innovative ideas, new tactics, and new strategies. All strove for personal excellence, and success became contagious. Instead of lying in wait under the waves, the USS Barb pursued enemy ships on the surface, attacking in the swift and precise style of torpedo boats. She was the first sub to use rocket missiles and to creep up on enemy convoys at night, joining the flank escort line from astern, darting in and out as she sank ships up the column. Surface-cruising, diving only to escape, "Luckey Fluckey" relentlessly patrolled the Pacific, driving his boat and crew to their limits. There can be no greater contrast to modern warfare's long-distance, video-game style of battle than the exploits of the captain and crew of the USS Barb, where the sub, out of ammunition, actually rammed an enemy ship until it sank. Thunder Below! is a first-rate, true-life, inspirational story of the courage and heroism of ordinary men under fire. Editorial Reviews Publishers Weekly - Publisher's Weekly The USS Barb was the Navy's most successful submarine in WW II. Operating mainly in the South China Sea, the Formosa Strait and the forever mysterious Sea of Okhotsk, the Barb sank at least 29 Japanese ships and climaxed its final patrol with an audacious commando raid on land during which the crew destroyed a 16-car train. This was the sole U.S. military landing on Japanese soil during the war. Drawing on ship's logs, letters, interviews, diaries and his own memory, Fluckey, a retired rear admiral, reconstructs every attack by and against the sub from its eighth through its 12th and last patrol. This was the 15-month period when he served as the Barb's skipper, winning the Medal of Honor and four Navy Crosses for his daring exploits. Fluckey is a fine writer with a lively, colorful style. His book is packed with action and suspense and is rich in details about the day-today operation of a submarine in combat. Photos. Military Book Club main selection. (Oct.) United Airlines "Sea Orchestra" Commercial

01:02
"Sea Orchestra" is a lively and visually rich commercial that introduces United's new international first and business class cabins. In it, a United airplane crosses the ocean and is serenaded by an orchestra of animated sea creatures that are playing a unique version of Rhapsody in Blue using tubas, violins, French horns and the Indonesian gamelan. The score was created by Shy the Sun, a South Africa-based directing team, which used hand-drawn textures, computer animation characters and photographs of water, reefs and skies.

Freedoms Never Free - Phillips Craig & Dean.

04:23
Standing on a hillside Where the river meets the sea White crosses without number Line the fields of peace And each one a silent witness Staring back at me Every cross a story Of another place in time Where young men thought it worthy To give their life for mine And for the sake of honor Left their dreams behind And for the price they paid I'm forever in their debt Their memory will not die 'Cause I will not forget I will stand and hold my head up high I will dedicate my life To the glory of the ones who had to die I will live, live what I believe If for no one else but me To remember Freedom's never free It was on another hillside Outside the city gates The battle lines were drawn As soldiers took their place The Father watched in silence As a cross was raised With freedom drawing closer He took His final breath He drank our cup of guilt And took the sting from death Heaven's Finest Soldier clothed in human flesh And for the price He paid I'm forever in His debt The cross will never die 'Cause I will not forget I will stand and hold my head up high I will dedicate my life To the glory of the One who had to die I will live, live what I believe If for no one else but me To remember that Freedom's Never Free I will walk free I will stay free I will live free I will die free!

Rail Fanning Middle Of Mother Ocean

02:50
I was really fed up taking the same boring monotonous clips from platforms and railway tracks. Suddenly this idea stuck my silly mind. And here I am, standing amidst the lap of Mighty Mother Ocean, which can engulf the puny land mass of Earth, inhabited by arrogant human fools, in couple of seconds. ERS WDM3A 17968 carefully carries the Trichy Rameshwaram passenger on the mother of all bridges - Pamban. Speed limit 15 km/hr. The Ganges, Brahmaputra, Krishna, Kaveri and so on may be mighty rivers, but all of them lose their identities after they merge in the final destination - Mother Ocean, who welcomes all her children, so humbly with open arms. Did you ever notice one thing? The mighty Ocean which can swallow the entire land mass of this planet in seconds, always washes our feet lovingly without any arrogance. Like us on Facebook here: http://www.facebook.com/TheRumjacks An Irish Pub Song is the 2nd "single" of The Rumjacks debut album 'Gangs Of New Holland'. It is a piss take at the explosion of Irish Pubs in Australia and the bastardisation of a culture. The video was directed and filmed by Nathan Macdonald of Fatboy Films Australia. LYRICS: Theres a county map to go on the wall, A hurling stick & a shinty ball, The bric, the brac, the craic & all, Lets call it an Irish pub, Caffreys, Harp, Kilkenny on tap, The Guinness pie & that cabbage crap, The ideal wannabee Paddy trap, We'll call it an Irish pub, Whale, oil, beef, hooked! I swear upon the holy book, The only 'craic' you'll get is a slap in the ear, Whale, oil, beef, hooked! I'll up & burst yer filthy mug, If you draw one more shamrock in me beer! We'll raise the price o' beer a dollar, We'll make em wear a shirt & collar, We'll fly a bloody tri-colour, And call it an Irish pub, Jager bombs & double shots, The underagers think its tops, We'll spike the drinks & pay the cops, We got us an Irish pub. The quick one in the filthy bog, The partin' glass across the lug, O' the lady-O, the dirty dog, We got us an Irish pub, It's over to me and over to you, We'll skip along the Avenue, And who t'hell is Ronnie Drew? We got us an Irish pub. Plasma screens & neon lights, Kara-farkin-oke nights, The bouncers they can pick the fights, We'll call it an Irish pub, Plastic cups, a polished floor, We'll hose the blood right out the door, And let the knucklers back for more, We got us an Irish pub, Oh top o' the mornin', Garryowen, Kiss me I'm Irish, Molly Malone, Failte, Slainte, Pog ma thon, We got us an Irish pub, Spike the punch & strip the willow, Strike me up the rakes o' Mallow, The Liffey never ran so shallow, We got us an Irish pub.

With her 30th novel, Lisa Wingate fearlessly delves into the greatest adoption scandal of the 20th c., led by one woman, Georgia Tan, who kidnapped poor children & babies to sell to wealthy families. When Lisa came across this above-the-law crime story, she pulled herself up off the floor and just had to know more. Lisa is careful to balance Ms. Tan's sociopathic world with the voices of the children and families involuntarily drawn into the queenpin’s greed and ruthlessness.

The Astronomical Apocrypha 07 - Seleukid Narrative Let's Play - Total War: Rome 2 - Divide et Impera

38:13
Total War: Rome 2 with Divide et Impera 1.1e overhaul mod Submods: DeI – Ultra Fast Battles, R2:TW GEMFX Graphic Enhancement Mod, Better Horses Elephants and Dogs HQ Texture v2 Grand Campaign Normal Difficulty (DeI) Episode 7: Stabbing Westward With the once proud Ptolemy Philadelphos now falling and the stench of his corpse mingling with the camel offal, Antiochos II reluctantly turns his gaze from Egypt to the cringing Nabataens and their upstart Ma’in allies to the Southeast, blazing a trail of conquest into Arabia to unite the province of Nabataea. Diogenes, the desert veteran, crosses the Red Sea with the Hammers of Hephaestos, and together with Antiochos and the Thunderbolts of Zeus, they form a two-pronged invasion of Upper Egypt, which has been left essentially undefended by the Ptolemies. With his wound little more than old ache and an upleasant memory, Antiochos Soter reads the stars as a good omen for conquest and launches his own invasion against the Thracians, crossing the Hellespont to secure territory on the far shore of the Black Sea, while Antigonos Gonatas watches with growing concern the ambition of his Seleukid rivals. Demi Brookes photo of three crosses is officially titled "At the cross I bow my knee, where Your blood was shed for me.". She does not list where this was taken but it is a wonderful silhouette shot with an absolutely beautiful backdrop. The "Market Cross" has a great story. Here is the description Dennis Jarvis gives, "After the Viking destruction of 882, the archbishop moved the market from the river to the present site, the Market Cross still commemorates this event from 958. It celebrates the trading rights given to the town by King Otto the Great. ". It's located on the central square in Trier, the oldest city in Germany. Its official German name is "Marktkreuz". The BBC Cross is located in St Asaph, North Wales. Apparently erected for a documentary by BBC in 2005. Not sure what the documentary was about but a couple of people felt like it was a very "spiritual" place. Cross in the fields is located in Vlkoš, Czech Republic. A great winter picture with a fantastic, spiritual story. This is one of thousands of crosses spread across the country side. Mostly built during a time when people walked everywhere. They would often stop and pray whenever they came across one. "Cross" by Phil White House is located in Cañón del Colca (Colca Canyon), Peru. Its known as the "Condor Cross" and is located in an area where condors, the bird, can be seen in multiples. A wonderful place with a great view of the canyon. Both Photos titled "Cross" by Sean MacEntee are located in Bosnia Herzegovina, in Southeastern Europe, bordering the Adriatic Sea and Croatia. Wooden cross at Waverley Cemetery. This cross is located in the Waverley Cemetery. It opened in 1877 and is a cemetery located on top of the cliffs at Bronte in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. More info here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waverley_Cemetery The "Hill of Crosses" is in northern Lithuania. The crosses are a fascinating view up close and far away. The origin of leaving the crosses is not known but is believed to have begun after what they call the "1831 Uprising". More info here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hill_of_Crosses
HighTensions in the South China Sea, and a US Ally There Has Already Drawn 'Red Lines' With China

10:05
Amid a simmering trade war, the US and Chinese militaries have exchanged tit-for-tat measures with each other in recent days in and above the South China Sea. Over the weekend, a US Navy destroyer sailed close to Chinese-occupied territory in the area, a freedom-of-navigation exercise meant in part to contest Beijing’s expansive claims. During that exercise, a Chinese destroyer approached the US ship – reportedly as close as 45 feet – in what Navy officials called an “unsafe and unprofessional maneuver.” “The tension is escalating, and that could prove to be dangerous to both sides,” a senior US official told Reuters on Sunday, after China canceled a meeting between its officials and Defense Secretary Jim Mattis – the second senior-level meeting called off in a week.

World Party -- Ship Of Fools + Is It Like Today

I DO NOT OWN THE RIGHTS TO THIS MUSIC SHIP OF FOOLS We're setting sail to the place on the map from which no one has ever returned Drawn by the promise of the joker and the fool by the light of the crosses that burned. Drawn by the promise of the women and the lace and the gold and the cotton and pearls It's the place where they keep all the darkness you need. You sail away from the light of the world on this trip, baby. You will pay tomorrow You're gonna pay tomorrow You will pay tomorrow Save me. Save me from tomorrow I don't want to sail with this ship of fools. No, no Oh, save me. Save me from tomorrow I don't want to sail with this ship of fools I want to run and hide right now Avarice and greed are gonna drive you over the endless sea They will leave you drifting in the shallows or drowning in the oceans of history Traveling the world, you're in search of no good but I'm sure you'll build your Sodom like you knew you would Using all the good people for your galley slaves as you're little boat struggles through the warning waves, but you don't pay You will pay tomorrow You're gonna pay tomorrow You're gonna pay tomorrow Save me. Save me from tomorrow I don't want to sail with this ship of fools Save me. Save me from tomorrow I don't want to sail with this ship of fools Where's it comin' from? Where's it goin' to now? It's just a It's just a ship of fools IS IT LIKE TODAY Many years ago He Looked out through a glassless window All that he could see Was Ba-bylon Beautiful green fields and dreams and learned to measure the stars but there was a worry in his heart He said How could it come to this? We're really worried about living How could it come to this? Yeah we really wanna know about this Is it like today? Oh-oh-oh Then there followed days of kings, empires and revolutions Blood just looks the same When you open the veins And sometimes it was faith, power or reason as the cornerstone but the furrowed brow has never left his face He said How could it come to this? We're really living in a landslide How could it come to this? Yeah we really wanna know about this Is it like today? Oh-oh-oh Then there came a day Man, packed up, flew off from the planet He went to the moon, to the moon To, to the moon, the moon now he's out in space Hey, fixing all the problems He comes face to face with God He say How could it come to this I'm really worried about my creation How did it come to this You're really killing me you know It isn't just a day Oh-oh-oh Is it like today? Eh-oh-oh Is it like today? Oh Bang!

http://www.BetsyBullock.com - Frank Lloyd Wright designed homes which were in harmony with humanity and its environment, an architectural style known as Usonian. Although not designed by him, this home certainly bears resemblance to his work. Along with its beautifully landscaped yard, an abundance of privacy and charm surely make this in-town residence a 'Secret Garden'. Because the Bennett stream crosses through a corner of the property, it is commonly referred to as "Brook Lot". The amazing grounds were designed with many varied, rare, and mature plantings. Built in 1959, the U-shaped, single level home has substantial character. Fieldstone walls, fire place and sunken living room coupled with rich wood trim offer substantial warmth while walls of glass and over sized windows deliver plenty of light. There are three bedrooms, two full baths and generously scaled common rooms. A substantial amount of this cherished home has an open floor plan but also plenty of spaces behind doors when alone time beckons.

BREAKING! Big Red Planet Crosses The Earth's Sky in NY!

01:40
That's right. Captured today 11-18-2016 at the Jamesville, NY Sky Cam at allskycam.com Jamesville, NY Sky Cam Link http://www.allskycam.com/u.php?u=589 Are these among the signs Jesus promised us of coming judgment in Luke 21? HAVE YOU BEEN RECONCILED UNTO GOD? Is your name written in the Lamb's Book of Life? Are you ready to stand before the Son of man? Our redemption draws near. Choose this day whom you shall serve. Tomorrow may be too late to make a new decision. Don't wait. If you're reading this, you're being drawn right now by the Holy Spirit to secure your eternal destination. This is your INVITATION to be pardoned and passed from death eternal, unto life everlasting through Jesus Christ. And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. Luke:21:11 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. Luke:21:25-26 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Luke:21:34-36 SALVATION PRAYER Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness. I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin. You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved. Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved. Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself. Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life. AMEN. Many thanks to this website for the sample prayer as well as the teachings on their page about what a salvation prayer means and the cost that you have to count, the commitment you're making to turn your back on the ways of the world and live righteously for the sake of the cross and those who look to you that they may see your new works and glorify your now Father in Heaven. http://salvationprayer.info/home/salvation/ Thanks for Watching! Freedom's Never Free

05:24
Standing on a hillside where the river meets the sea. White crosses without number line the fields of peace. And each one a silent witness staring back at me. Every cross a story of another place in time where young men thought it worthy to give their life for mine. And for the sake of honor left their dreams behind. And for the price they paid I'm forever in their debt. Their memory will not die 'cause I will not forget. I will stand and hold my head up high. I will dedicate my life to the glory of the ones who had to die. I will live, live what I believe If for no one else but me I will remember that freedom's never free. It was on another hillside outside the city gates the battle lines were drawn as soldiers took their place. The Father watched in silence as a cross was raised. With freedom drawing closer He took His final breath. He drank our cup of guilt and took the sting from death. Heaven's finest soldier clothed in human flesh and for the price He paid I'm forever in His debt. The cross will never die 'cause I will not forget. I will stand and hold my head up high, I will dedicate my life to the glory of the One who had to die. I will live, live what I believe if for no one else but me to remember that freedom's never free. I will walk free. I will stay free. I will live free. I will die free! South China Sea: Source of power projection

South China Sea: Source of power projection SUBSCRIBE my channel here: https://goo.gl/F8gn4Z G+ here: https://goo.gl/UzMJVe ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sarfraz Ahmed Rana THE Asia-Pacific security order has been reshaped in recent times by the growing rivalry between the United States and China including the other coastal states involved against the backdrop of escalating tension in the South China Sea. The area became a flashpoint and most debated after the Korean conflict as political tension grew over the territorial sovereignty of the South China Seas Islands. A strategic pathway contains the area of about 3.5 million square kilometres geographically located at the heart of the Pacific Ocean that connects South China Seas with the Indian Ocean, largely considered being the lifeline of the world commerce and commercial activities. The worth of $5 trillion international commerce crosses over the South China Sea every year accentuates the significance of the Seas. A narrative of contest between the two powers over the South China Sea conflict to which China claims the indisputable sovereignty since ancient times have not merely limited scope to the global trade activity but it goes beyond to have the multiple strategic aspects as possesses conceivably one of the world’s largest untapped oil and gas reservoirs, rich in other marine resources including the sizeable amount of fisheries and seafood, most importantly the Freedom of Navigation Operations and Over Flight remains the high priority for the United States and its allies. Chinese ambitious plans of building artificial islands which began to implement in 2016 on the large swathes of South China Sea within the Chinese drawn nine-dash line are almost up and running for Chinese naval power projection and advanced new military installations demonstrates Beijing’s inclination to adopt increasingly modern naval capabilities. In addition to, Chinese first ever military base in Djibouti gives rise to US suspicion of China on the path of becoming ‘peer competitor’, whi... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Moses parts the Red Sea - Animation!

03:03
Moses parts the Red Sea - Animation About Moses Moses (Hebrew: מֹשֶׁה‎, Modern Moshe Tiberian Mōšéh ISO 259-3 Moše ; Syriac: ܡܘܫܐ Moushe; Arabic: موسى‎ Mūsā ) was, according to the Hebrew Bible, the Qur'an, and Baha'i scripture, a former Egyptian prince and warrior,[citation needed] later turned religious leader, lawgiver, and prophet, to whom the authorship of the Torah is traditionally attributed. Also called Moshe Rabbenu in Hebrew (מֹשֶׁה רַבֵּנוּ, Lit. "Moses our Teacher/Rabbi"), he is the most important prophet in Judaism.[1][2] He is also an important prophet in Christianity and Islam, as well as a number of other faiths. The existence of Moses as well as the veracity of the Exodus story are disputed among archaeologists and Egyptologists, with experts in the field of biblical criticism citing logical inconsistencies, new archaeological evidence, historical evidence, and related origin myths in Canaanite culture.[3][4][5] Other historians maintain that the biographical details and Egyptian background attributed to Moses imply the existence of a historical political and religious leader who was involved in the consolidation of the Hebrew tribes in Canaan towards the end of the Bronze Age. According to the Book of Exodus, Moses was born in a time when his people, the Children of Israel, were increasing in numbers and the Egyptian Pharaoh was worried that they might ally with Egypt's enemies. Moses' Hebrew mother, Jochebed, secretly hid him when the Pharaoh ordered all newborn Hebrew boys to be killed upon the circulating prophecy among Egyptian priests of a messianic deliverer among the Hebrew slaves. Through the Pharaoh's sister Queen Bithia, the child was adopted as a foundling from the Nile river and grew up with the Egyptian royal family. After killing an Egyptian slavemaster, Moses fled across the Red Sea to Midian, where he encountered the God of Israel in the form of a "burning bush". God sent Moses back to Egypt to demand the release of the Israelites from slavery. After the Ten Plagues, Moses led the Exodus of the Israelites out of Egypt and across the Red Sea, after which they based themselves at Mount Sinai, where Moses received the Ten Commandments. After 40 years of wandering in the desert, Moses died within sight of the Promised Land. Rabbinical Judaism calculated a lifespan of Moses corresponding to 1391--1271 BCE;[6] Jerome gives 1592 BCE, and Ussher 1619 BCE as his birth year.[7] The biblical text explains the name Mošeh משה as a derivation of the root mšh משה "to draw", in Exodus 2:10: "she called his name Moses (משה): and she said, Because I drew him (משיתהו) out of the water." (KJV).[8] The name is thus suggested to relate to drawing out in a passive sense, "the one who was drawn out". Those who depart from this tradition derive the name from the same root but in an active sense, "he who draws out", in the sense of "saviour, deliverer".[9] The form of the name as recorded in the Masoretic text is indeed the expected form of the Biblical Hebrew active participle.[10] Josephus argued for an Egyptian etymology, and some scholarly suggestions have followed this in deriving the name from Coptic terms mo "water" and `uses "save, deliver", suggesting a meaning "saved from the water".[11] Another suggestion has connected the name with the Egyptian ms, as found in Tuth-mose and Ra-messes, meaning "born" or "child".[8][12]

Calm After The Storm, 1930s - Film 32825

01:51
Amateur home movie. On a sea swept promenade, waves are crashing and spraying seawater in the air. Looking down at breaking sea. Railings on front. Pier further out to sea.1930's Quite impressive amounts of water breaking over front, but amateur cameraman moves camera quite a lot. Man in suit and with cigarette in mouth opens back-hinged front door of his motor car, gets in, winds window down and puts car into gear. He moves off. Reverse point of view from a car along a high street showing shops. Woman crosses road with pram after car has passed by. Sea front. Ship in distance. Windmill next to sea. Very gentlest sea water lapping on sandy beach. Pier with ship passing. Swings on beach. Suburban promenade. Boats drawn up on beach. Church near sea. Windmill. The railings of the front. Looking up at windmill.
ALCO Mother Of All Bridges Pamban 3

Kindly reduce your audio if wind noise annoys you. I covered the mic with multiple layers of tape with cotton underneath, but of no use. This bridge is situated in high velocity whirlwind area. No tripods will work here. The strong wind can even blow you away. I am lying on the Ocean floor. Tsunami fears Essence. So no worries. GOC WDP3A 15524 Passenger cruises the mother of all bridges - Pamban at 15 km/hr. Says hello at 3:34. WDP3A has a white beauty spot / bindi. At 1:13 the boat goes faster than the train with WDP3A staring - WTF is that !!! At 3:39 one local kid comes and screams, asking something. The agonizing moment when you wanna scream, but your mouth sealed with duct tape. I slowly and silently admonished him to STFU. Pamban Bridge Playlist - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLED4CD1E23BCE98B8 Pamban bridge is listed in the Top 10 Most Dangerous Railroads in the world - http://www.mostinterestingfacts.com/transportation/top-10-most-dangerous-railroads-in-the-world.html After the 1964 cyclone, the girders of Pamban bridge were replaced and an anemometer was installed. When the wind speed crosses 55 km per hour, signals on the bridge send out an automatic warning to approaching trains. This bridge was rebuilt in 1965 after the original bridge collapsed during the "Tsunami" of December 1964. It is with the reconstruction of the Pamban Bridge that Mr. E Sreedharan of Delhi Metro made his initial mark. A woman had a miraculous escape after she fell off a moving train into the sea from the Pamban bridge. She opened the compartment door mistaking it for the toilet and fell into the sea - http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/61-yr-old-woman-falls-from-train-into-sea-survives/articleshow/6576572.cms The Pamban bridge is a type of cantilever bridge on the Palk Strait connects Rameswaram on Pamban Island to mainland India. It refers to both the road bridge and the cantilever railway bridge, though primarily it means the latter. It was India's first sea bridge. It is the second longest sea bridge in India (after Bandra Worli Sea Link) at a length of about 2.3 km. Until 1911 people crossed by boat to visit an ancient Ram temple at Rameswaram. Jeez boat !!! The railway bridge is 6,776 ft (2,065 m) and was opened for traffic in 1914. The railroad bridge is a still functioning double leaf bascule bridge section that can be raised to let ships pass under the bridge. The railway bridge historically carried meter gauge trains on it, but Indian Railways upgraded the bridge to carry broad gauge trains in a project that finished Aug. 12, 2007. Until recently, the two leaves of the bridge were opened manually using levers by workers. About 10 ships, cargo carriers, coast guard ships, fishing vessels and oil tankers, pass through the bridge every month. The bridge is located at the "world's second highly corrosive environment", next to Miami, US, making the construction a challenging job. The location is also a cyclone-prone high wind velocity zone. It sits on an artificial sandstone reef. Nearly 5,000 tonnes of cement, 18,000 cubic feet of crushed metal stone, 2,600 tonnes of steel and 80,000 cubic feet of boulders were used to build it. The bridge has 145 fixed spans, and one-navigation span (a total of 225 feet) that opens for ships. The drawbridge at the center comprises two sections of the navigation span, called the Scherzer span. Each weighs 415 tonnes. It is a spectacular sight when drawn up to let ships through.

Removing the energy supply will help prevent the phone from being fried. -Remove all the covers and plugs that cover the charging port, headphone port, or any gap or slot in the phone. These can trap moisture inside the phone or be damaged themselves. -Avoid using paper as particles can come loose and clog up the ports of the phone. -The heat produced by a hair dryer can cause significant damage to the internal components of your phone, and vaporizing the moisture inside the phone can just spread it further. -Shaking your phone can get rid of a lot of those pesky droplets of moisture stuck inside the phone. -Put the phone in a plastic bag, and suck out the air with a vacuum cleaner or shop vac. -Uncooked rice is naturally absorbent, and water can flow right out of a phone and into the rice. Put the phone and all its parts in a bowl or jar of rice, and leave it there for at least 48 hours. -Try submerging your phone in circuit-safe cleaner or pure grain alcohol, which will absorb the moisture, clean any impurities, and ultimately evaporate without leaving a conductive residue. -Don’t keep the phone in a jar of rice next to the sink or washing machine, for instance, where accidents can happen. -It is very, very important to give your phone at least 2 days to dry. -It’s possible that you have your warranty through a third party vendor, such as Asurion or SquareTrade. They might cover accidental spills or submersion. -Once you’re sure your phone is dry, you can plug it back in and try to turn it on. If it powers up, you’re in business. Tacitus, Pliny the Younger, Ignatius, Clement

15:10
My take on Tacitus and Pliny, and why I reject Ignatius and Clement. Tacitus "Annals" Book 15 Section 44 http://penelope.uchicago.edu/Thayer/E/Roman/Texts/Tacitus/Annals/15B*.html 44 1 So far, the precautions taken were suggested by human prudence: now means were sought for appeasing deity, and application was made to the Sibylline books; at the injunction of which public prayers were offered to Vulcan, Ceres, and Proserpine, while Juno was propitiated by the matrons, first in the Capitol, then at the nearest point of the sea-shore, where water was drawn for sprinkling the temple and image of the goddess. Ritual banquets and all-night vigils were celebrated by women in the married state. But neither human help, nor imperial munificence, nor all the modes of placating Heaven, could stifle scandal or dispel the belief that the fire had taken place by order. Therefore, to scotch the rumour, Nero substituted as culprits, and punished with the utmost refinements of cruelty, a class of men, loathed for their vices,27 whom the crowd styled Christians.28 Christus, the founder of the name, had undergone the death penalty in the reign of Tiberius, by sentence of the procurator Pontius Pilatus,29 and the pernicious superstition was checked for a moment, only to break out once more, not merely in Judaea, the home of the disease, but in the capital itself, where all things horrible or shameful in the world collect and find a vogue. First, then, the confessed members of the sect were arrested; next, on their disclosures, vast p285numbers30 were convicted, not so much on the count of arson as for hatred of the human race.31 And derision accompanied their end: they were covered with wild beasts' skins and torn to death by dogs; or they were fastened on crosses, and, when daylight failed were burned to serve as lamps by night. Nero had offered his Gardens for the spectacle, and gave an exhibition in his Circus, mixing with the crowd in the habit of a charioteer, or mounted on his car. Hence, in spite of a guilt which had earned the most exemplary punishment, there arose a sentiment of pity, due to the impression that they were being sacrificed not for the welfare of the state but to the ferocity of a single man. Tacitus on Vespasian "Histories" Book 4 Section 81 http://penelope.uchicago.edu/Thayer/E/Roman/Texts/Tacitus/Histories/4D*.html During the months while Vespasian was waiting at Alexandria for the regular season of the summer winds and a settled sea,4 many marvels continued to mark the favour of heaven and a certain partiality of the gods toward him. One of the common people of Alexandria, well known for his loss of sight, threw himself before Vespasian's knees, praying him with groans to cure his blindness, being so directed by the god Serapis, whom this most superstitious of nations worships before all others; and he besought the emperor to deign to moisten his cheeks and eyes with his spittle. Another, whose hand was useless, prompted by the same god, begged Caesar to step and trample on it. Vespasian at first ridiculed these appeals and treated them with p161scorn; then, when the men persisted, he began at one moment to fear the discredit of failure, at another to be inspired with hopes of success by the appeals of the suppliants and the flattery of his courtiers: finally, he directed the physicians to give their opinion as to whether such blindness and infirmity could be overcome by human aid. Their reply treated the two cases differently: they said that in the first the power of sight had not been completely eaten away and it would return if the obstacles were removed; in the other, the joints had slipped and become displaced, but they could be restored if a healing pressure were applied to them. Such perhaps was the wish of the gods, and it might be that the emperor had been chosen for this divine service; in any case, if a cure were obtained, the glory would be Caesar's, but in the event of failure, ridicule would fall only on the poor suppliants. So Vespasian, believing that his good fortune was capable of anything and that nothing was any longer incredible, with a smiling countenance, and amid intense excitement on the part of the bystanders, did as he was asked to do. The hand was instantly restored to use, and the day again shone for the blind man. Both facts are told by eye-witnesses even now when falsehood brings no reward.
