Start a Fashion Blog
- How do you create your own fashion blog website?
As a fashion Instagram influencer, the majority of my audience is on Instagram and over the past year I’ve been building out my fashion vlogs.
The first place I started on my journey was registering my website LifeTailored.com, the brand I brainstormed started with that domain name and was the genesis of my username on IG @Lifetailored as well as my YouTube channel and the reason it’s important to start with a domain name is that it’s often really hard to get it if yours is taken. I tried to buy MeetTheWises.com, the name of our couples IG account and the guy wanted $5k and it was just an empty domain.
When you start your brand and register the domain name it prevents any squatters and secures your future. We don’t know what will happen to IG, Snapchat, they could thrive or they could go the way of MySpace, either way, lifetailored.com will always be mine and will always grow regardless of what happens in social.
- How do you create a fashion blog?
I used Bluehost and their $3.95 website building to get started and recommend you do the same. I have a walkthrough video you can reference or you can just use this link to set it up yourself. It’s drop dead simple.
- Once you launch your blog, it’s time to design it
Designing your wordpress blog is really easy. There are tons of free “themes” that design the site. A theme is basically a website design and it allows you to keep all your blog post content in tact but change your websites look and feel with the click of a button. Here’s a link to some free themes:
I really like this free theme, Feminine Lifestyle:
And also a link to paid themes that cost around $20-50:
I really like this Metz theme that costs $49:

- Paid ads from brands like Boss
- Affiliate revenue from product recommendations
- Adsense from my website and vlogs

// How to Become a Fashion Influenc
I first started getting paid ads once I hit 25k followers and was able to apply for campaigns. These are the networks I used and basically what happens is brands post the specs for their influencer campaigns and you apply and tell them why you’re a good fit. I get maybe 1/10 I apply for and you can expect to make about $.01 per 1000 followers so 25k followers is $250 per post.
As you get bigger brands will reach out to you, but the best way to ensure you have deals is to apply for everything. Search for “influencer marketing agency” to find new platforms to keep applying.

- How influencers make money with affiliate marketing
Affiliate marketing is getting paid to get someone to sign up for a service or product by using your tracking link.
On my fashion posts I use shopstyle to create a grid of items and anytime someone buys I get commission.
This is a great way to get passive income that doesn’t take much work and pays you more and more over time. It’s much smaller than sponsored posts but since it doesn’t require work it’s my favorite way to make money.
I get paid while I sleep.
It’s easy to setup too, Sites like Liketoknow.it allow you to setup a store so people can shop your outfits you wear.

To manage all my posts and automatically schedule them to publish at the ideal time I use Later.com, here’s my sign up link which gets you 10 free posts per month:
So I wish you the best of luck and want to help you make it to that london boss experience like I had and am here to help.
