High tide in Mumbai 2018. It can get very risky if people don't take precaution. In this video you will see how two guys venture out literally into the middle of the sea. The bridge was covered with stormy sea water and yet they went out there towards Haji Ali Dargah. It almost seemed as if some one had dared them to do so as it was a very dangerous thing to do. Most people know how to swim but during a high tide, even the most professional swimmers find it difficult to hold on and that may end in tragedy. Hope you like and share this video. Ocean’s tides are explained in this video: How the tides work? Why the oceans experience two high tides and two low tides each day? The oceans on the earth's surface are attracted to the moon through the effects of gravity. Because the strength of the gravitational attractions depend on the separation distance of objects, the oceans on both sides of the earth, as well as the earth itself, experience different gravitational forces towards the moon, causing two oceanic bulges which result in two high tides daily. The video also explains why tides as well as moon rise and moon set are 50 minutes later each day, based on the moon's orbit around the earth. We provide lesson plans, hands-on classroom resources, demonstration equipment, quizzes and a Teacher's Manual to primary school teachers. Animated videos that clearly explain the scientific ideas supports learning by both teachers and students. As a teacher, you don't have to look anywhere else to implement this program. Our work has been verified by science education researchers at the University of Southern Queensland, Dr Jenny Donovan and Dr Carole Haeusler, who confirm that primary students are capable of learning much more complex scientific concepts than previously thought, and crucially, that they love it. Students run to class! The program has been trialed in Australian schools as well as schools in the Philippines, Iran and India. It is conducted as holiday workshops at the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation, the Queensland Museum as well as the World Science Festival. It has attracted wide media interest, including TV, radio and print, and the research data has been presented at prestigious American Education Research Association and Australian Science Education Research Association conferences. Atomic Theory underlies all the other sciences- genetics, electronics, nanotechnology, engineering and astronomy- so an early understanding will set them up for a more successful learning sequence for all their science subjects, and support their mastery of mathematics as well. We also have extension programs that cover Biology, Physics and Astronomy to an equal depth. About Ian Stuart (Email: [email protected]): The founder of Atomic School, Ian Stuart, taught Chemistry and Physics for 25 years at senior levels before he realized that his 8-year old son, Tom, could understand Atomic Theory at a much deeper level than he expected. After visiting Tom's class at school, he discovered that his peers could also grasp the abstract scientific concepts, as well as apply it usefully to the real world. Ian then developed a program to teach the advanced concepts of high school Chemistry, Physics and Biology to students 10 years younger than they normally would. He found that this engaged their interest in modern science early, and sustained it through to high school and beyond. It also sets them up for future success in their academic and career paths. Ian has a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the University of Queensland and a Master's degree in Electrochemistry from the University of Melbourne. This happens in Guernsey about once a year. We have one of the largest tidal ranges in the world, 30 feet or 10 metres. The high tide on this day was 10.1m and the low tide was 0.5m above chart datum. Luckily for the shops opposite the Victoria Marina there was a high pressure weather system over us at the time, because otherwise the shops and the road would normally get flooded out with sea water at this tide height.

This video depicts the low and high tide event that occurred on 30 May 2009 at Leo Carillo State Beach along the southern California coast. The parts of this video where the low tide scene changes to the high tide scene occur between 1:40 to 1:50 and 3:10 to 3:20. Science has identified more than 400 factors which contribute to the phenomenon of oceanic tides; the greatest factor is the gravitational pull of the moon. Essentially, tides are the result of a great long-period wave travelling around Earth's oceans as Earth rotates. This wave moves along coastlines as it revolves around amphidromic points (nodes of no vertical wave motion) in oceans, bays, and gulfs. High tide is also known as "flood tide" whereas low tide is also called "ebb tide." Additionally, a tide coming in is said to be "rising" whereas a tide going out is said to be "falling." Twice per month -- during the full and new moons, when the Earth, moon, and Sun are at syzygy (in line) -- the highest high tides and lowest low tides occur. Tides on these dates with the greatest tidal range are called "spring tides." (The name 'spring tides' has nothing to do with the season of the same name. Spring tides occur throughout the year whenever the conditions described are present.) When the moon is in quadrature (right angle to the Earth and Sun), tides with the least range occur. These tides are called "neap tides." Predictable variation of tides occur on a schedule of 18.6 years, which is the time it takes the moon to complete one cycle of its various motions. To find the time of high and low tide for any coastal location in the United States, go to this webpage from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA): http://co-ops.nos.noaa.gov/. Once on this page ... 1. Click Tide Tables (listed along the left side of the page). 2. On the next page select the year for which you would like to find the tide prediction. 3. Then select the U.S. state where the section of coast in which you're interested is located. 4. On the next page, click on the name of the section of coast closest to, or containing the beach or location for which you would like to view the tide table. (This requires a bit of geographic knowledge. Try Google Earth or Google Maps if you're unsure about your location's situation.) 5. On the next page, you'll see a list of all of the tidal stations or tidal gage locations in your state of interest. Click the word 'Predictions' for the location closest to your place of interest. To locate the time for low or high tides at Leo Carillo State Beach, I interpolate between the Santa Monica, Municipal Pier and the Mugu Lagoon (ocean pier) tide station data. Leo Carillo State Beach is located roughly between these two, but a little bit closer to Mugu Lagoon. So refer to data from both of these tide charts. Tidal phenomena -- like everything in the natural world -- are fascinating. Study them!

A Road in France If you're planning a trip to France, make sure to be careful with the roads you take. They might just disappear! Connecting the Gulf of Burnёf with the island of Noirmoutier, Passage du Gois is a road that is not only unique but extremely dangerous. Twice, every day, when the high tide rises, the 2.58-mile long passage disappears 13 ft under water. 9. Shivling Stambheshwar Mahadev Temple is located in Kavi Kamboi, Gujarat, India. Its Shivling is located so close to the sea that one can only worship there during low tide. The shrine is more than 150-years-old and is situated near the Gulf of Cambay. During high tide, the four feet Shivling is completely submerged. 8. Mont Saint-Michel This island castle in Mont Saint Michel, France, is only accessible during low tide. Its claim to fame is that it never fell to the English during the 116 years of the Hundred Years' War. 7. Jindo and Modo These two islands are located in the southwest of South Korea. Two times a year a natural causeway opens due to extremely low tides, connecting the islands for a period of one hour. The causeway is almost 3 kilometers long, and over 40 meters wide. 6. Barra Airport Barra is a 23-square mile island off the western coast of Scotland. It has an airport with three marked runways and conducts regularly scheduled flights. What makes those flights unique is that the schedule takes the tide into account — during high tide, the sea submerges the runways. 5. St. Michael's Mount St Michael’s Mount is a tidal island located 366 meters off the Mount’s Bay coast of Cornwall, in south-western England. It is united with the mainland by a man-made causeway, passable only at mid to low tide, made of granite setts. 4. Rising Tide Horses Four horses are standing by the Thames, but you'll only see them at low tide. They are located by the Vauxhall Bridge, not far from the Houses of Parliament, and are visible in different degrees as the water level changes. Created by eco-sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor to encourage people to reflect on our dependence on fossil fuels, the horses' heads are oil well pumps – also known as horsehead pumps. 3. Angel Road There are tourist spots throughout Japan that are advertised as being places "for couples to visit." Angel Road in Shodoshima, Kagawa, a beautiful spot where the path only appears during low tide, is one of them. 2. Koh Nang Yuan It's called a "unique paradise in the Gulf of Thailand" -- and many who have visited the three islands of Koh Nang Yuan seem to agree. Popular with divers and underwater explorers, Koh Nang Yuan islands are interconnected by a long sandy "bridge", a stunning natural phenomenon. 1. Manjuyod White Sandbar The Manjuyod White Sandbar completely disappears during high tide and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Negros Oriental. The exceptional location can be accessed via 15-minute boat ride from the Capiñahan Wharf in the South Bais Bay, Bais City, Negros Oriental.

High Tide Situation in Daman beach. Tides are the rise and fall of sea levels caused by the combined effects of the gravitational forces exerted by the Moon and the Sun and the rotation of the Earth. Some shorelines experience two almost equal high tides and two low tides each day, called a semi-diurnal tide. Some locations experience only one high and one low tide each day, called a diurnal tide. Some locations experience two uneven tides a day, or sometimes one high and one low each day; this is called a mixed tide. The times and amplitude of the tides at a locale are influenced by the alignment of the Sun and Moon, by the pattern of tides in the deep ocean, by the amphidromic systems of the oceans, and by the shape of the coastline and near-shore bathymetry (see Timing). Tides vary on timescales ranging from hours to years due to numerous influences. To make accurate records, tide gauges at fixed stations measure the water level over time. Gauges ignore variations caused by waves with periods shorter than minutes. These data are compared to the reference (or datum) level usually called mean sea level. While tides are usually the largest source of short-term sea-level fluctuations, sea levels are also subject to forces such as wind and barometric pressure changes, resulting in storm surges, especially in shallow seas and near coasts. Tidal phenomena are not limited to the oceans, but can occur in other systems whenever a gravitational field that varies in time and space is present. For example, the solid part of the Earth is affected by tides, though this is not as easily seen as the water tidal movements.

Tides are the periodic rise and fall of sea level at a particular place. When the sea level rises to its greatest height, it is known as a high tide and when the sea level drops to its lowest height, it is known as a low tide. Tides are primarily caused due to the gravitational force of the moon. Do you know how? Part of the earth facing the moon experiences a stronger gravitational pull towards the moon as compared to the earth's center. So, the part facing the moon is pulled away from the center, creating a bulge and thus, increasing the sea level and causing a high tide. Now, the earth's center experiences a stronger gravitational force towards the moon than the part facing away from the moon. Hence, this part is pulled away from the center, resulting in high tide on the opposite side as well. In addition to this, the places in between the two high tides, where the sea level drops, experience low tides. Also, don't forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel.

The variety of instances that we've faced an premature flood due to the mixture of the famous mumbai rains and the high tide timing may be very high. In line with excessive tide alert calendar 2017 statistics, the town will witness a excessive tide on 18 days this monsoon. The sea ranges are anticipated to upward thrust beyond 4.5m due to heavy showers, and it's miles crucial to know approximately the excessive tide schedule instead of suffering the consequence. Ships in storms can be so creepy to look at. Just look at those terrifying monster waves from those incredible videos. Those ships in rough seas sure look creepy. I wouldn't want to be in a ship in storm at sea.
