It tracks your visitor count if you have a lot of traffic. They'll sample the data unless you pay like a hundred or a hundred and fifty grand or whatever their price is per year. Google Analytics will show you how people are engaging throughout your site and what traffic sources are causing most conversions. Don't optimize for traffic. Optimize for traffic that causes conversions. 3:00 The second digital marketing tool I have for you is Ubersuggest. You're going to want to get rankings. You're going to want more search traffic. It's the most consistent traffic that you'll get. Yes. Social media traffic is easier and quicker to get. But Google's algorithm updates aren't as crazy as Facebook's. It won't be where one day you're getting 300,000 visitors from Facebook organic reach and the next day you're getting 10,000 visitors. Google's organic traffic is very, very consistent. So use Ubersuggest. 3:40 The third digital marketing tool I have for you is Google Search Console. We love doing this internally, where we take Google search console, we log in; we look at all the posts, how many impressions they get, how many clicks they get and the click-through rate. We look for the posts that get less than a five percent click-through rate. We look at all the keywords that were getting impressions from that post, and then we integrate those keywords into that blog post or that landing page, and we rewrite that content. 7:30 The fourth digital marketing tool is Crazyegg. Crazyegg shows me how people are engaging with my website. How far they're scrolling. Where they're clicking. It allows me to take that data and, within Crazyegg, you don't have to be a developer, you don't have to be a designer. You can adjust your page and run A/B tests to maximize your sales. Because it's not just about getting traffic, it's about converting those visitors into conversions. Another tool that I love using is called Subscribers. It's through push notifications. People will come through to your website, but they don't come back. 8:00 The fifth digital marketing tool is called Subscribers. It's through push notifications. People will come through to your website, but they don't come back. What it does is it puts a little browser notification when people come to your site and gets them to subscribe without being obtrusive, it does it all within the browser. 9:00 The last digital marketing tool that I'm going to give you guys that you guys should check out is HubSpot. HubSpot's a great tool to look at your overall marketing, your lead count. It integrates marketing with sales, and that's why I want to end with HubSpot. I love it. I use it, and sure some people may say "Hey, there are other tools that do this or that." HubSpot has a lot of free plans, and they have some startup plans, which is very entrepreneur friendly, and best of all is they keep adding more and more stuff for free, so why not? They're a huge billion dollar company that are trying to crush their competitors, so they're just releasing a lot of stuff for free. Hey, that's for your benefit. 10:00 All this data and these digital marketing tools, with no action, is useless. You're better off saving the money and not even paying or using any of them. Imagine if you lived in Phoenix and saw this chiropractic brand in all these digital places month over month? - Digital Billboards around town (image ad) - https://m360.us/75c9 - YouTube before you watched videos (bumper ad) - https://m360.us/b002 - Instagram as you scrolled your feed (image or video ad) - https://m360.us/d88f - Facebook as you kept up-to-date with family and friends (image or video ad) - https://m360.us/9759a Would you not consider them the best chiropractor in Phoenix? Would you not think of them first when you or anybody you know needed a chiropractor? Of course you would! So would everybody else! That's the power of investing in your brand. This drives up search volume for your brand! The cost of your "business name" as a keyword on Google is significantly cheaper then the cost of say "phoenix chiropractors". Plus, it's much more convertible! That means more leads at a lower cost. More new customers at a lower cost. It's a no brainer. Plus, You don't have to call people that convert off your brand in 5 minutes or you lose the lead You don't have to cut your price to beat competitors You don't have to spend excess time trying to "sell them on why you're the best" choice The list goes on! The bottom line is, to truly increase the value of your company and grow you business you MUST invest in your brand and create "increased search" for your brand name. Focus your SEO budget on high cost keywords and spend all your ad budget on BRAND! If you do this, you will see a huge increase in brand search via organic and paid. That brand search ad should be a broad match of your business name so you can control the ad copy, landing page, ad extensions and more when somebody searches your brand name. If you invest in brand, you'll see performance from your brand search ad increase month over month. If you run Google search keyword ads, I suggest you pick the single best keyword with a very tight radius and that's it. Such as [chiropractor near me] or [attorney near me], which renders the maps extension and is highly convertible. The rest of your budget is on your brand ads only. The rest of the high cost keywords would be targeted via SEO efforts only. If you only have so many dollars to invest....INVEST IN YOUR BRAND! Digital Billboards compared to other brand channels bring a certain level of trust and confidence that is hard to match. You see all kinds of brands on IG and FB these days, but only the cream of the crop on digital billboards. At least that's the perception. So leverage that! With digital billboards, I suggest investing at least $20 per day per channel (aka: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Digital Billboard, LinkedIn, etc). Invest in at least 3-5 brand building channels at once. Multi-channel is key! So that’s anywhere from $60/day to $100/day per local area. Additionally give them at least 3-6 months to run. Track: - Lift in brand organic search / conversions -- this is essentially the amount of people searching your business name / brand name on Google each month. - Lift in direct traffic / conversions -- this is people going directly to your website because they know your name - Lift in Google search brand ad performance -- this is the increase in performance from your brand name ad on google search - Lift in social activity -- this is the growth you see on all your social accounts while brand ads are running Your brand ads should have a HUGE LOGO and your business name should be very clear! You want the brand to be burned in people's minds. You can also leverage "Top Rated Local® CityVertical" messaging if you’re using the Top Rated Local® review platform on a paid plan. Keep the ad clean, not wordy or busy and really make the brand big and clear. That will drive brand search! Update your ad each month, so the billboard stands out to repeat viewers. If you haven't used storytelling in your marketing yet, you should. And I'm going to show you exactly how to use storytelling just like I do so you can get results. There was this guy, he bought 200 items for $129. He then took those items, created a story around them, each individual one, posted it on eBay for each object, and can you guess how much he ended up selling everything for? A whopping grand total of $8000. That's the power of storytelling. Step one, define your core message. If you don't have a core message, your story's going to continually ramble and ramble on. There has to be a point to a story. You can't just tell a story because you want more sales or more conversions or more people to follow you. If there's no point, people aren't going to know why they should continually pay attention to the story. Step two, decide what kind of story you're going to tell. One version of storytelling is incite action. It's to get other people to take action and do something. If you tell a story that motivates people, you can get them to take action. Another way of storytelling is to tell people about yourself. You can have a story about yourself, ups and downs you went through, it could be motivational. This can help inspire other people jump on your bandwagon, follow your personal brand, follow you over the social web. Personal storytelling is amazing. When people get to know you, they relate more, they're more likely to follow you, and your personal brand is more likely to grow. Conveying value is another way of telling a story that gets people to join your bandwagon. What I mean by that is if other people believe in the same values as you do, they're more likely to relate with you and follow you as well. This not only help to generate sales for your company, it also helps with your personal brand. The last way that people typically storytell is to educate and pass knowledge on. When you educate and you're passing knowledge on through a story, they're much more likely to be engaged, hooked, and learn that knowledge and be able to execute on it in the future. Step three, you need to establish your call to action. If you tell a story, you get people hooked, they're all about you, they're about your personal brand, they're about your business, but they don't know what to do next, you're not really going to see any sales or conversions. You need to tell them to do things like check out your company, follow you on the social web, join your email list, whatever it may be. It doesn't have to be a major commitment, it doesn't have to be where they have to buy something right away, it could just be as simple as joining your list so that way you can tell them more stories, build more of a rapport with them, build more of a relationship, and then eventually convert them into a customer. Now, before I let you go, because you have all the steps, I want to give you three quick bonus tips. I've been storytelling for a long time, and I found that when a good story includes these three main things, it does much better. So let's go over these bonus tips. Bonus tip number one, you need to have characters. This allows people to see themselves in the story and be a part of it. Without that, there'll be a disconnect between you telling the story and the person listening on the other end. Always have characters, and make them relatable. Number two, you need a conflict. Without the conflict, there's not going to be that hook that gets people there waiting to figure out what's happening next. We don't have conflict and everything's hunky dory and roses, then people are like, okay, cool, this is boring. Always have conflict in a story. And of course, this is the last bonus tip, you need resolution.
