HOW TO VISIT NEW YORK CITY ON A BUDGET// I explain you exactly how to travel to New York City if you are on a very tight budget or if you don't want to spend all your savings on this one trip. New York is an expensive city, yes. This doesn't mean that you have to necessarily spend a lot though. It is absolutely possible to enjoy the city and your trip while spending a modest amount of money. I was able to travel there for 10$ a day, so I'm the living proof that visiting NYC on a budget is possible! Rs. 35,000, 4 days in New York City? How Much Money You Need to Explore New York With Your Parents?
Rs. 2200 Airbnb Voucher Link: https://goo.gl/QpZcGv Help me by subscribing to my channel:-) https://goo.gl/69iSWt Follow me for live travel stories: Instagram: http://instagram.com/TheTravelingDesi FULL THAILAND PLAYLIST ALL VLOGS: https://goo.gl/ed5uyH Facebook Page: http://facebook.com/TravelingDesi Me and my mother while on a budget trip to USA spent 4 days in New York City spending Rs. 35,000 on all our combined expenses including food, accommodation, public transport and taxis. and other expenses for both of us together. After reaching NYC on a Rs. 35,000 flight, me and my mother took shelter in a lovely AirBnb House and this video shows our full experience of how to book and stay in an Airbnb in New York City and also shows how we bought our own food and stayed in New Jersey to save a lot of money on our budget trip to New York. The Video shows in details that why is it a better option to stay in Jersey city on a budget trip to New York and also shows a lot of important information about Tourist attractions like Statue of Liberty in New York. The Video also describes how to plan your budget trip to USA and how to travel from India to USA on a budget trip and how to manage your expenses and save a lot of money by using kitchens in Airbnbs. I took the Etihad airways flight from Delhi to New York with a halt at Abu Dhabi. The total journey of 22 hours on a budget trip to USA had cost me Rs. 35,000 per person as there was no flexibility with choosing the dates. In this video, I have shown how to explore lower Manhattan and main tourist attractions there including Statue of Liberty, New York Stock Exchange and much more and doing all that in Rs 20,000 expense. This is not a Traveling Desi USA series video but this is a vlog series I made when I visited New york on a budget with my mom spending 4 days in New York visiting all major tourist attraction. The video series will answer many questions like 1) How to plan a budget trip to the USA 2) How to book cheap flights? 3) How to book cheap USA flights? 4) How to use public transport in the USA ? 5) How to plan international trips with parents? 6) How much does a trip to USA cost? 7) How expensive is New York? 8) How Expensive is it to use Public Transport in New York. 9) How to book Airbnbs 10) How to use Airbnbs in USA? 11) How expensive are Airbnbs in New York? The video also discusses topics like. 1) Finding Indian food in New York. 2) Indian Grocery shops in New York. 3) Planning a budget and packing for an international trip with parents. 4) An international budget trip from India. 5) Saving money on air travel from India. 6) Taxi prices in New York. 7) Cheap accommodation in New York. 8) Hostels and AirBnbs in New York. Visiting new york with mother was huge fun and also fine as per budget travel experience. New York is a very expensive city but if you spend wisely and make smart choices, you can save a lot of money. Like I chose to stay out of Manhattan which is the most expensive area and selected Jersey City for my Airbnb and also I shopped at the Indian grocery store and made our own food. We also used Public transport in New York to commute to New York’s famous tourist attractions. It is one of the most expensive cities in the world so hotels in New York cities are too expensive and Airbnbs provide a better alternate living solution and they even work with families as you saw in this video. We went to visit Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, World Trade Center, New York Stock Exchange and many more famous tourist attractions and all in just 4 days with my 60 years old mother in 4 days in cold winter of New York but really enjoyed a lot. So in case you are planning to visit New York or just want to see how an average Indian mother and a son experience one of the most known and famous cities of the world. This is going to be a perfect series full of information about transport, prices and other relevant details. Please feel free to share your New York Trip experience if you have been to New York on a budget or visited the USA with family.

No New York sightseeing is complete without a visit to Times Square, which you’ve no doubt seen in many movies. New York City Travel Guide
Here are some Things to do in NYC :) This 1st of a "Things to do in NYC" is the BASICS. I will do more in depth videos on neighborhoods like Harlem, Brooklyn, Lower East Side which will include shopping, entertainment, eating, all that :) But for now I hope you find this helpful and excited about exploring NYC. I didn't "forget" to list anything. This is just the first video and trust their are a million things to do. Sorry for not including Brooklyn. I rarely go out there and didn't have footage to include in this video. But here goes! As for the things I listed check them out here: Statue of Liberty, is located on Ellis Island. It's since been reopened http://www.statuecruises.com/choose_tickets.aspx Central Park is cliche and a MUST! Check out the Boat House this summer and rent a paddle boat for $12/hr. Cash only and a $20 deposit is required http://www.thecentralparkboathouse.com Magnolia Bakery has an amazing to die for Banana Pudding that used to be so secret which is now another MUST HAVE while in town http://www.magnoliabakery.com Katz Deli is a historical landmark that happens to be famous for their sandwiches. Try the pastrami if you're into that...I'm not :/ Yes this is a tourist destination but it's a part of NYC's history hence a MUST! http://katzsdelicatessen.com Patricia Field is a NYC fashion fixture! Made famous for her costume designing in The Devil Wears Prada and Sex and the City: the Movie and sequel, her boutique is another MUST. I love playing dressup here and splurging on accessories! http://www.patriciafield.com Need to get around? Rent a bike! I have yet to try this but it seems fabulous! Save your feet and cover more ground. These bikes and bike spots are all over the city. A perfect way to burn calories and see more of the city faster. http://citibikenyc.com Caracas! This happens to be a fav spot of mine! It's uber small and the lines can be long but I love the food. Yes it's fried and oh so good! I've never had an Arepa until I came here and the prices are perfect for us budget minded peeps Try it! just read their yelp reviews! http://www.yelp.com/biz/caracas-arepa-bar-new-york http://www.caracasarepabar.com Summer in NYC isn't really summer until you get your butt on a rooftop. My pick was Jimmy Rooftop. Sunday's after 3pm are bomb! Amazing music courtesy of DJ Cato. I believe it is doorman discretion, which means, dress your best and don't travel with a bunch of dudes. You get an amazing view of the sun setting over the Hudson River and you get to splash around in the pool if you so choose. I chose this spot because I used to work here and loved it! http://www.jameshotels.com/new-york/eat-drink/jimmy/ Yes! Go to Church! After you party it up Saturday night or Sunday afternoon bring your sinful behind to this awesome church! You don't have to be religious to attend. This is a non-denominal church and people from all over the world come here for the amazing sermons and not to mention the interior. This Church is a converted theatre and a must see. Now go and pray! http://www.tscnyc.org My spot! We in my hood now. You MUST go to Orange Beauty Supply! I used to buy all my hair products here when I had hair and you def need to buy a wig here. I take all my gurls here and hook them up with a fabulous synthetic or human hair wig just cause! Apollo!!! You MUST go here on amateur night! It's historical! You either boo or cheer for the talent on stage. You must have an opinion! Quiet indifference is not tolerated :) A real life YouTube comment board in live action! I've been here countless times and it's a great way to get the energy up! http://www.apollotheater.org --------------------------------- WATCH THESE VIDEOS: Meet my Mom: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hS-VVNWuOFE What is Fear? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XViZu61CyAw --------------------------------- Follow me: http://facebook.com/shamelessmaya http://shamelessmaya.com http://twitter.com/mayasworld instagram @mayasworld http://shamelessmaya.tumblr.com --------------------------------- Dope beats by: Jay Ellyiot http://jayellyiotmusic.com http://jayellyiot.tumblr.com https://soundcloud.com/jayellyiot https://www.facebook.com/JayEllyiot --------------------------------- Filmed and edited by your Shamelessness :) Geek Info: http://astore.amazon.com/shamelessmaya-20 camera: Canon 7D audio: H4n Zoom Mic lighting: Ring light editing: Final Cut Pro X things to do in NYC, tourism NYC, nyc spots

Brooklyn is the most populated, with 2.6 million residents (total of 8.5M in NYC). Queens is the largest, and “most ethnically diverse” county in the US. Bronx is the northenmost and the only one that is part of the US Mainland. Staten Island is the most suburban Manhattan is BIG -- don’t expect to walk the whole thing in a day 5 days is probably the sweet spot. No less than 3 days. Wear comfortable shoes Girls: Sex and the City says everybody walks in heels all the time -- not so much. Don’t try and walk everywhere, the subway is there for a reason. NYC is Expensive! Everything costs more here. The city runs on tips New Yorkers aren’t really rude.. They are just efficient. Expect to pay to use a bathroom, there really aren’t many good public toilets Weather For about 8 months out of the year it is chilly. And, for about 3 months it’s just plain miserable. Be prepared for really cold and windy, or really hot, humid, and muggy. Be prepared to rain always. Summer: Highs 84F/29C Lows: 68F/20C (July) Winter: Highs: 38F/3C - Lows 25F/-4C (January) Winter Footwear -- puddles the size of small lakes Layers Best months: September, October, May and June Getting in Airports LaGuardia (M80 Bus) JFK (Airtrain to Howard Beach then catch the subway) Newark (30 mins on Amtrak or NJ Transit) Beware of unnoficial cabs Trains -- to Penn Station or Grand Central. Grand Central is amazing. Megabus if you’re on the east coast Driving -- if you do drive in… just plan to park and leave your car for the duration of your stay. Transportation in NYC The Subway mostly runs north south… east and west you’ll be walking it If you’re in NYC for awhile, get a week or month long Subway pass Avoid the empty subway car, it’s empty for a reason. Hot or smelly. Don’t lean on the subway poles… more people can hold on to it Pay attention to the local, or express trains. Get in the subway at the correct entrance, going the right direction, and for the right line There are tons of yellow taxis… but they are notoriously hard to hail in bad weather Flagship city for Uber, Lyft. But traffic is slow. If you’re running late, don’t take a taxi. You WILL get stuck in traffic. Walking -- don’t drop in the middle of the sidewalk Ferrys for a different way to get around NYC Ferry - East River route for some of the best views Citi Bikes -- 10,000 bikes and 600 stations -- Download the citi bike app - $12/day Bus Tours -- skip it Times Square Crowded, chaotic, dazzling and overpriced Is really small -- and there’s not much to do once you get there. Whatever you do, don’t eat here. The food is overpriced and mediocre due to high rent. Broadway Shows Book way ahead of time There’s a vibrant “Off-Broadway” Scene Book of Mormon and Avenue Q are my favorites Check out the TKTs booth for cheap tickets or online now Parks (Central Park & the High Line) Central Park Is really big -- and no subway across Central Park is 800 Acres Strawberry Fields, Sheep’s Meadow, ice skating rinks. Visit the High Line on a weekday to avoid the crowds Big Apple Attractions Statue of Liberty -- book ahead of time Cant get tix for the Statue of Liberty, ride the Staten Island Ferry for free! Empire State Building -- Long Lines Top of the Rock is really cool -- great views of the Empire State New WTC Observatory 9/11 Memorial ($2 Reservation Fee Museum of Modern Art Metropolitan Museum of Art American Museum of Natural History (Suggested Admission) Chelsea Market New York Public Library Flatiron Building Shopping along 5th Avenue Hotels Expensive! Save some money by staying in Queens, Brooklyn, or Staten Island If money is no object -- the Park Hyatt is amazing Marriott Marquis on Times Square in the middle of it all Food Food carts and trucks can be really good The Halal Guys is a “must eat” Grimaldi’s Pizza (In Brooklyn under the bridge) and Lomardis in Little Italy Pastrami on Rye Shake Shack started here Chinatown Get noodles at Xi’an Famous Foods (location in Chinatown) Bagels with Lox New York Hotdogs from Gray’s Papaya New York Cheesecake CLICK HERE TO SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/yellowwsub Click here to watch more of my New York City videos in my NYC Travel Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gP9uQKpzFA&list=PLOVadUHX1B-Lz1jCrYEnaoFpon0MwO9JJ Yellow Productions on social media: FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/YellowProductionsTravel INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/yellowwproductions/ TWITTER: ChrisRaney GOOGLE+: https://google.com/+yellowwproductions Check out my blog at: http://yelloww.net Music: Easy Lemon Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)

How much money do I need to travel to New York City? | NYC
How much money do i need to travel to New York? How to travel in new york city on a Budget? If you're watching this video it might be cos' you want to know how much money does it take for a trip to NY. Nowadays you don't need to win the lottery anymore to be able to. Tour packages may seem appealing but I think arranging it all on your own is the real deal to visit the Big Apple. Let's say you're considering plane tickets. If you plan it early enough you might get a ticket for around 300€. Finding convenient prices for a long plane journey can be more difficult than it seems but not impossible. A two month reservation can take up to 350€ just for the travel fares. Then how much for a week? A.- How much for the flight? Finding cheaper tickets Europe to the US can be easier if you're flexible about how many times do you mind commuting to another plane or from where do you wanna' fly but if that's not the case and you're flying from your local airport making a reservation as early as possible could be best. B. How much for a hotel room? This is another big Q when it comes to visiting the US. It can be an expensive country if you don't know much, specially NY. It is possible to find a hostel via the Internet for up to 58€/night for two people. Stay away from travel agents. You just have to look for it through. C.- How much for the main sights and museums? There are plenty of free things to do in NY. If you wan't to know more click in this video where I'll tell you about the stuff you can do without paying a single dime. https://youtu.be/mwxeuyZnx7M Take into account that the main monuments are not free. If you're staying around a week and you want to see it all I'd recomend the New York City Pass. It's really worth it in terms of discount over the general price and skipping the queue. For just over 100€ (110€ I paid last time) you get acess to: 1. Empire State Building. 2. Museum of Modern Art (MOMA). 3. Metropolitan Museum. 4. Top of the Rock Observation Deck (Rockefeller Plaza) 5. Guggenheim Museum. 6. Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island / Circular Cruiser. 7. 11S Memorial & Museum. 8. Natural History Museum. These among the best known sights, there are many others. D.- How to move around? Distances in NY are just huge. I tried walking out most of the city but NY subway is mandatory. Just crossing from one side to the other of the island would take you more than one day. Walking is a great way to get the vibe and feel the essence of this great city with such different districts. Get a MetroCard (32$ A week) if you want to have unlimited trips around the city. Buy it at any subway station of newsagent's. It also entitles you to use the intercity busses. E.- How much for a meal? Honestly, eating is one of those really cheap things in NY. You can spend all day eating pizza or hotdogs. Chinatown or Little Italy also have good quite affordable options. 20-30$ would be enough for two. Remember tipping is mandatory in all places. 15-20% of the total price. It will appear in your ticket. Also due to federal taxes remember all prices are without taxes then at the moment of paying they usually tell you how much for the taxes. You can also ask beforehand. F.- Do I need a medical insurance? It's quite advisable to get a travel insurance if you're visiting the US where the costs of medical care can be extremely high. A superficial cut in a hand and having to get stapled or sewed can get up to 300$. No joking. There are affordable options here where you pay up to 50€. It includes medical care but also other nuisances such as lost luggage. Thanks for watching this video. Hope I've solved some doubts about how much it takes to spend some days in the city that never sleeps. Of course the more you spend the more comfy all is gonna be but travelling with a tight budget shouldn't mean missing out all the essentials and still having all the necessary stuff. Visit New York - Hotel Advice for New York City
Heading to New York & Not Sure What Your Hotel Accommodations Will Be Like? Well here we give you advice and tips on some of the typical hotels you will find in New York City. 1. They are expensive so plan accordingly. There are cheap tourist things to do in New York City, but the hotel is not one of them. 2. There are high taxes on hotel rooms which makes the rooms even more expensive. 3. The rooms are usually small, so you if you are a family make sure you let them know so you will have enough room. 4. WiFi is usually free, but breakfast is not. Many hotels do not offer breakfast, but there are a lot of options in NYC for breakfast so you will be fine. 5. You will always want to use the toilet before you leave the hotel as NYC public toilets are nasty. 6. You probably should tip the cleaning staff between $2 and $5 per day. We leave a little note for them as well. 7. There are high early check in fees, but most hotels will hold your luggage for free. filmed in New York City Copyright Mark Wolters 2016 10 Things That Will SHOCK You About New York City https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMyC_PUuEok 5 Tips for Enjoying New York City https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5TZkBIYMY0 Tipping in the USA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoKL2T_48HU USA Today & 10Best's #1 Independent Travel Videographer 2014 FlipKey by TripAdvisor Top 10 Travel Bloggers 2014 Our Equipment Sony Alpha a6000 Digital Camera. California to New York: A Complete Road Trip
This is a complete road trip compilation from Santa Monica, California to New York City over eight different days from June-September, 2017 - all recorded in time-lapse at 4fps (nearly 100,000 frames total). Of the 3,253 miles (5,235 kilometers) driven, about 3 miles of this drive is missing, mostly in Colorado near Poncha Springs. Nearly all of this drive was done in daytime, but there is about 10 minutes of this video done in darkness in Arizona (about 1:00:00 to 1:10:00). The weather was good for the most part, except from Pennsylvania all the way to the Bronx, before clearing up in Manhattan. This trip also includes driving through the solar eclipse of August 21 in Nebraska (at about 3:30:00), as well as driving over the old Tappan Zee Bridge in upstate NY, which permanently closed a month later with the opening of the new Mario M Cuomo Bridge adjacent to it. The states passed through are California (0:00:35-0:40:54) Arizona (0:40:54-1:40:26) New Mexico (1:40:26-1:41:09) Colorado (1:41:09-3:07:17) Nebraska (3:07:17-3:51:05) Iowa (3:51:05-4:24:17) Illinois (4:24:17-4:50:42) Indiana (4:50:42-5:10:51) Ohio (5:10:51-5:39:13) West Virginia (5:39:13-5:40:48 & 5:47:09-5:51:52) Pennsylvania (5:40:48-5:47:09 & 6:04:43-6:32:49) Maryland (5:51:52-6:04:43) New York (6:32:49-6:50:03) The highest elevation of the drive was 11,539 ft (3,517 m) at 2:28:10. The highest elevation anywhere on the U.S. interstate system is 11,158 ft (3,401 m) at 2:33:41. Both of these elevations are two of the three continental divide crossings; the other, at 2:04:38 (10,856 ft / 3,309 m), is the first. The hottest temperature of this trip was 110 F (43 C) in Needles, California (about 0:40:16), and the coldest temperature of this trip was 53 F (11 C) in Tusayan, Arizona (about 1:10:04) - only about 230 miles (370 km) from Needles. However, making the most of a single day in New York City will require a few things: First, be ready for an action-filled day and wear good walking shoes as you'll likely be walking over 10 miles. You'll be venturing all over the island of Manhattan, and the best way to do that is via NYC's public transit network, which requires a MetroCard; you can purchase an unlimited day-pass at any MTA subway station. We'd also recommend you pick up a New York City street map—it just makes getting around a little easier. One of New York City's signature breakfasts is the bagel and New York City is filled with great bagels, though you'd be hard-pressed to find two New Yorkers who agree about which one is the best Essa bagel shop #1 in NYC

Top 5 Things to Do In Niagara Falls New York
Of course a visit to Niagara Falls New York starts with a look at the powerful falls and a boat ride in Maid of the Mist. But there is plenty to see beyond this natural wonder. We head to both a charming French Bistro and the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute for some good eats. Plus, for some more cultural and history come along as we visit Old Fort Niagara and then head on a Lockport Locks Boat Cruise along the hand dug Erie Canal.

Driving Downtown - Park Avenue 4K - New York City USA
Top 10 Favorite Travel Channels on Youtube (1 of 10): Longtime fan and highly recommend Ricks many years of travel videos! - Rick Steves - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCchgIh8Tc4sTmBfnMQ5pDdg Driving Downtown Streets - Park Avenue - New York City New York USA - Episode 1. Starting Point: Park Avenue - https://goo.gl/maps/56FKLZWstj12 . Park Avenue is a wide New York City boulevard[4] which carries north and southbound traffic in the borough of Manhattan, and is also a wide one-way pair in the Bronx. For most of the road's length in Manhattan, it runs parallel to Madison Avenue to the west and Lexington Avenue to the east. Park Avenue's entire length was formerly called Fourth Avenue; the title still applies below 14th Street.[5] Meanwhile, the section between 14th and 17th Street is called Union Square East, and between 17th and 32nd Streets, the name Park Avenue South is used. In the Bronx, Park Avenue runs in several segments between the Major Deegan Expressway and Fordham Road.[6] Route The road that becomes Park Avenue originates as the Bowery. From Cooper Square at 8th Street to Union Square at 14th Street, it is known as Fourth Avenue, a 70-foot-wide (21 m) road carrying northbound traffic. At 14th Street, it turns slightly northeast to align with other avenues drawn up in the Commissioners' Plan of 1811. From 14th Street to 17th Street, it forms the eastern boundary of Union Square and is known as Union Square East; its southbound lanes merge with Broadway south of 15th Street, and the thoroughfare divides into two distinct portions in the one-block section between 14th and 15th Streets. From 17th Street to 32nd Street, it is known as Park Avenue South. Above 32nd Street, for the remainder of its distance, it is known as Park Avenue, a 140-foot-wide boulevard. In popular culture Will Smith, as a policeman, pursues a criminal by jumping off the Park Avenue Viaduct in the 1997 film Men in Black. In the 2007 film I Am Legend, Will Smith again appears on the Park Avenue Viaduct, where his character is captured by a vampire's snare. In the 2012 film The Avengers, the climax takes place on the Park Avenue Viaduct. On the TV series The Odd Couple, Felix Unger and Oscar Madison live at 1049 Park Avenue. On the TV series Diff'rent Strokes, Phillip Drummond, with his daughter, Kimberly and adopted sons, Willis and Arnold Jackson live at 697 Park Avenue. The PBS documentary Park Avenue: Money, Power and the American Dream sheds light on gap between the impoverished people living on Park Avenue in the South Bronx and the extremely wealthy living at 740 Park Avenue in Manhattan. In the song "Youth Gone Wild" by American band Skid Row, Park Avenue is mentioned in the lyrics: "I said 'Hey man, there's something that you oughta know. / I tell ya Park Avenue leads to Skid Row.'" The stage and film musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying takes place in the fictional "Park Avenue office building of World Wide Wicket Company, Inc." The street lent its name to the Buick Park Avenue, a large luxury sedan that was produced from 1977 to 2005.[citation needed] In the intro to the late 1960s - early 1970s TV show Green Acres, Zsa Zsa Gabor's character sings "Darling I love but give me Park Avenue!", where she lived before moving to rural Hooterville with her husband, the lawyer-turned-farmer.[18] The City of New York, often called New York City or simply New York, is the most populous city in the United States.[9] Located at the southern tip of the State of New York, the city is the center of the New York metropolitan area, one of the most populous urban agglomerations in the world.[10][11] A global power city,[12] New York City exerts a significant impact upon commerce, finance, media, art, fashion, research, technology, education, and entertainment, its fast pace[13] defining the term New York minute.[14] Home to the headquarters of the United Nations,[15] New York is an important center for international diplomacy[16] and has been described as the cultural and financial capital of the world. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Park_Avenue https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_City https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g60763-Activities-New_York_City_New_York.html http://www.nycgo.com/ http://www.businessinsider.com/view-from-top-of-432-park-avenue-2014-10

New York City Weekend Roadtrip
Not too long ago I used to be afraid of leaving the house. My grandmother would always remind me to go home before it got dark. From that moment I realized how valuable time is. Fossil hit me up and we went on a road trip away from the big city. Road trips were my favorite because it gave me the opportunity to see what outside of Oakland looked like. If you have the weekend plan a last minute trip and just get away. You never know what you’re going to find. Never stop exploring. So I travelled solo to the US, and this city of dreams was the highlight of my visit. It is one of the easiest cities to explore in the world, the NYC subway is the lifeline of this island. Get a MetroCard and you are good to go. The best thing about this city is you need not spend a lot to get beautiful views and tasty food. You will meet nice and kind people all the way. My tips for anyone travelling solo is to live in hostels, make as many friends as possible, not be afraid to ask for help and plan a lot. I will soon be uploading a detailed version of tips and tricks on travelling solo on a budget on my website/blog. *Music used: 1. Markvard- Together 2. Scandinavianz- Vacation 3.
