How To Extend LVM Disk For Linux Virtual Machine On VMware

14:50
In this video I explain how to increase disk space in Linux with LVM by first expanding the hard disk, creating a new partition, expanding the volume group and logical volume and then resizing the file system. This video guide covers an existing (and more detailed) blog post I created which can be found here: http://www.rootusers.com/how-to-increase-the-size-of-a-linux-lvm-by-expanding-the-virtual-machine-disk/ Alternatively, you can also instead add a new disk rather than expand the existing disk as shown in this video by following these steps: http://www.rootusers.com/how-to-increase-the-size-of-a-linux-lvm-by-adding-a-new-disk/ --- Follow me here --- Twitter - http://www.twitter.com/JarrodsTech Google+ - https://plus.google.com/106278187407028513646/

How to configure multipath with iscsi on RHEL & CentOS 7

21:05
What is multipath : Device Mapper Multipathing (DM-Multipath) can be used for Improving the High Performance and for Redundancy. It allows us to configure multiple I/O paths between Servers and Storage in a single device and its mass-storage devices through the buses, controllers, switches, and bridge devices connecting them. I have added two hard disk in iscsi.example.com server and I have already configured iscsi server from server end and if you are facing any issue to configure iscsi server so please open this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qdjdaaKJMk if any issue feel free to comment me..

FreeNAS 11.2 creating RAID-style pool of disks and setting ownership of its default dataset

01:37
Raid-z is a ZFS filesystem with single-redundancy (one bad disk won't kill the array) like RAID-5. Raid-z2 has double-redundancy like RAID-6. Mismatched disk sizes forces all disks to "look like" their sizes are equal to the smallest disk in the pool. Fix A required cd-dvd drive device driver is missing

21:45
Fix A required cd-dvd drive device driver is missing Installing Windows 7 via a Flash USB drive is the fastest way to install Windows OS. But with modern hardware changes, Windows 7 does not come with the correct drivers to install from a USB pen drive. You can still install Windows 7 from a CD-Rom drive, but a lot of modern computers don't come with a DVD-Rom Drive, so when you try and install from a USB using USB 3.0 you will run into this error. “A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing” this will pop up during the installation like I show in the video. What the error message is saying is the problem was caused by missing drivers. So to find a solution to fix this problem, I have listed some links below with the motherboard manufacturer tools that will slipstream the USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 chipset drivers into the Windows 7 install USB. When trying to install Windows 7 computers with modern motherboards like z170 and z270 and computer cases supporting USB 3.0 and 3.1 None of these drivers are in the install.win or boot.wim files, So it can't recognize what your installing from. By slipstreaming or integrating these drivers into the Windows 7 ISO or USB installer, you will be have no issue when installing Windows. MSI, ASUS, ASROCK and GIGABYTE all have tools that you can download for free to install these drivers in Windows 7 Boot.win and Install.wim. There is other ways of doing this, but I wanted to make this video to show home users how to Install Windows 7 on NEW Hardware via USB 3.0 Download Windows 7 ISO https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows7 or https://www.heidoc.net/joomla/technology-science/microsoft/67-microsoft-windows-iso-download-tool To download the motherboard tools for Intel Windows 7 USB 3.0 Creator Utility https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25476/Windows-7-USB-3-0-Creator-Utility Windows USB Installation Tool http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/utility.aspx?cg=6 MSI Win7 Smart Tool https://service.msicomputer.com/msi_user/support/techfaqdetail.aspx?formid=3350 ASUS EZ Installer V1.03.06 https://www.asus.com/support/Download/1/50/1/2/WljMlCHYYVrETxeq/30/ Win 7 USB Patcher utility ftp://europe.asrock.com/Utility/UsbPatcher/UsbPatcher(v1.0.6).zip Hope this video helps you out. if you need any help, please join my forum http://www.briteccomputers.co.uk/forum
