Hi everybody, I am Cuong, Welcome back to my Magento 2 tutorial video series. #magento2tutorial #magento2 #magento #magento2training #productonsale In the previous lesson, I showed everybody, How to display the percentage of a discount per each product on the product list in Magento 2. You can watch again this lesson in the video link http://bit.ly/2HhylJ0 Today, I am going to show everybody the best practice, How to display all products on sale in Magento 2. What is the mean of "on sale"? When a product can be bought for less than their regular price. So that product is on sale. How can we get these products in Magento 2 by programmatically? This practice will show everybody the best solution and code. By default, Magento 2 provides us a Widget Type named Catalog Products List, it allows to display the list of products in a grid, you can see this widget added to the block identifier named home-page-block after installing sample data successful. However, this widget doesn't allow to filter the products on sale for displaying. Follow this widget, we can add some additional codes allowing only displaying the products on sale. This code helps us to get only the products having the final price less than the regular price, however, it can not get the configurable products on sale because of these products can't be set the special price. The special price only is set to the variable products of it. This is a configurable product. This codes can't help to get the configurable products on sale. So what is the solution? How can we get both simple and configurable products on sale for displaying? We will create a new product attribute called on_sale, this attribute will allow determining a product is on sale or not. Before saving a product in the backend, if it isn't a configurable product, we will check the special price of that product. If it is a configurable product, we will check the special price of all simple products of it. Then set the on_sale to "Yes" or "No" So what will we do in this practice? 1. Create a new customization module named PHPCuong_ProductOnSale 2. Create a new product attribute named on_sale 3. Create a new widget named "Catalog Products On Sale List" for displaying the listing products on sale Okie, let's go. Let's complete this practice you need to follow steps by step: Step 1: Declaring the new module called PHPCuong_ProductOnSale Step 2: Adding the new product attribute named on_sale Step 3: Set the value to the attribute named on_sale while saving the product. - Before saving the product from the backend, we will check that product and set the value to the product attribute named on_sale. We will use the event named catalog_product_save_before for completing this step. - After saving successful, we will check that product, if it isn't a configurable product then get the Parent Products and set the value to the product attribute named on_sale. Step 4: Declaring the new command-line interface (Magento CLI) named catalog:product:attribute:on_sale - We need to create a new Magento CLI, It helps us to check all products, if these products are on sale then set the product attribute named on_sale of those products to "2", else set it to "1". - Create the new file named di.xml in the path app\code\PHPCuong\ProductOnSale\etc - Create the new file named SetOnSaleValue.php in the path app\code\PHPCuong\ProductOnSale\Console\Command - We need to set cron job for updating the product attribute on_sale once a day. By running the command line php bin/magento catalog:product:attribute:on_sale In this video, I skip this step. Step 5: Declaring the new widget named Catalog Products On Sale List - This widget will use the same template named grid.phtml with the module named Magento_CatalogWidget - Create the new file named widget.xml in the path app\code\PHPCuong\ProductOnSale\etc - Create the new file named ProductsList.php in the path app\code\PHPCuong\ProductOnSale\Block\Product Step 6: Test and see the results 1. Run the following command lines: php bin/magento setup:upgrade --keep-generated php bin/magento setup:di:compile 2. Go to the backend, then set the new widget to the homepage block try to save some products for adding the value to the product attribute on_sale 3. Go to the storefront. 4. Run the command line: php bin/magento catalog:product:attribute:on_sale it helps us to set the value to the product attribute on_sale for all products. Yeah, it works perfectly Thank you for watching guide. If you have any questions about this practice please feel free to leave a comment below. Learn more about WP All Import's WooCommerce import capabilities at http://www.wpallimport.com/woocommerce-product-import In this video, you'll specifically learn how to structure an Excel file to group product variations together into variable products and import them to WooCommerce. If you aren't importing variable products, the WooCommerce add-on can import ANY Excel file to WordPress/WooCommerce. Just watch this video to learn how to export your Excel file to a CSV. Then upload your CSV file to WP All Import and import it. You can map the columns in your Excel file to any "end point" in WordPress or WooCommerce. You don't need to use special column names. Try the free version of the WooCommerce add-on for WP All Import and see how easy it is to import Excel or CSV files to WooCommerce products: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-xml-csv-product-import/ Download example Excel/CSV fields from our website - click Documentation, then WooCommerce, then "Example XML/CSV Files". Open the CSV files in Excel and edit them as per your needs. But why do you need to import your Excel file to WooCommerce anyway? Don't you have an inventory management system for your products that automatically exports all your stock to XML or CSV? If so, don't go through the hassle of manually creating an Excel file - just use WP All Import to import your XML or CSV file to WooCommerce directly.

https://understandinge.com/magento-tutorials/ This tutorial shows you how to create and edit your category structure in Magento 2 by adding or removing categories from it. If you’re looking at Magento 2 for the first time, don’t be surprised to find the menu bar on the left-hand side, and not along the top of your screen. Step 1. Create Categories - To get started, click on the Products menu on the left-hand side and then click on Categories. - Then click on Add Root Category as you would need one root category per website. - Next, click on Default Category and then Add Subcategory to create your top level category. - Type your top level category in the Name field, set the option Is Active to Yes, and then ignore the other options for now and click on Save Category in the top right-hand corner. - To create a subcategory, click on your top level category, which is Bags, followed by Add Subcategory. - Enter your subcategory in the Name field, set it to Is Active by choosing Yes, and then press Save Category in the top right-hand corner. To create additional subcategories, click on the top level category again and then Add Subcategory. - To delete a category, select that specific category on the left-hand side, and then click on Delete Category at the top right. - A pop-up message will ask you if you’re sure you want to make this deletion; this prevents deleting a category by accident. If you are sure click on OK, but if you’re not click on Cancel. Step 2. Assign Categories to Your Products - Go back to the Products menu then click on Catalog. - Choose a product that you want to assign categories to. - On the left-hand side of this product page, you see different options that you may use in setting up a product on your website. - Scroll down the page then enter the keywords of the categories that you created earlier into the Categories box. - While you’re at it, you can create a new subcategory on the fly by clicking on the button labelled New Category to the right of the Categories box. - Type your new category in the box labelled Category Name, your top level category in the Parent Category box, and then press Create Category in the top right-hand corner. - That category will be automatically added not only to this product, but also to your category structure in the Categories menu. - Once that’s done, click on Save in the top right-hand corner. Step 3. View Your New Categories on Your Website - Click on your username in the top right-hand corner and then click on Customer View to get to the front-end of your Magento website. - There in the top menu bar of your website is your new top level category, which reveals the subcategories within it when hovered upon. - Click on both subcategories, and you will see the product to which they were assigned. Hi everybody, I am Cuong, Welcome back to my Magento 2 tutorial video series. #magento2tutorial #magento2training #magento2 Today, I am going to show everybody the best practice, How to display bestsellers products on the homepage in Magento 2. By default Magento 2 allows us to show the products bestsellers report in the backend, you can see it by going to Admin Panel → Reports → Products → Bestsellers. Also, you can see the top 5 of bestsellers products in the tab named Bestsellers on the Dashboard. The data of this products bestsellers report is saved in the tables named: 1. sales_bestsellers_aggregated_daily: Sales Bestsellers Aggregated Daily 2. sales_bestsellers_aggregated_monthly: Sales Bestsellers Aggregated Monthly 3. sales_bestsellers_aggregated_yearly: Sales Bestsellers Aggregated Yearly To refresh bestsellers report, you go to Admin Panel → Reports → Statistics → Refresh Statistics, then submit the action named Refresh Lifetime Statistics. However, Magento 2 doesn't provide us the feature that allowing to show these bestsellers products on the homepage of the storefront. So in this practice, I'm going to show everybody the best codes to display correct the bestsellers products on the homepage with some simple steps. 1. I will create a new widget called "Bestsellers Products" 2. Displaying this widget on the homepage. Okie, let's go. Let's do this practice, you need to follow steps by step: Step 1: Declaring the new module called PHPCuong_BestsellersProducts - Create the namespace PHPCuong in the path app\code - Create the module named BestsellersProducts in the path app\code\PHPCuong - Create the file named registration.php in the path app\code\PHPCuong\BestsellersProducts - Create the file named module.xml in the path app\code\PHPCuong\BestsellersProducts\etc End of step #1, I have been completed the codes to create a new module called PHPCuong_BestsellersProducts. Step 2: Declaring the new widget named Bestsellers Products - Create the new file named widget.xml in the path app\code\PHPCuong\BestsellersProducts\etc - Create the new file named BestsellersProducts.php in the path app\code\PHPCuong\BestsellersProducts\Block\Widget - Create the new file named Collection.php in the path app\code\PHPCuong\BestsellersProducts\Model\ResourceModel\Product - Create the new file named bestsellers-products.phtml in the path app\code\PHPCuong\BestsellersProducts\view\frontend\templates\widget The content of the file named bestsellers-products.phtml, I copied from the file grid.phtml in the module named Magento_CatalogWidget Step 3: Test and see the results 1. Run the following command lines: php bin/magento setup:upgrade --keep-generated php bin/magento cache:flush 2. Display the bestsellers products widget on the homepage. Go to the Magento Admin Panel → Content → Elements → Widgets → Add Widget - Add the new widget named Bestsellers Products 3. Test the results Go to the homepage. Yeah, it works perfectly.
