In this video, I’m going to give you 4 leg workout tips for mass that will help even the hardest of hardgainers to pack on size and start bulking up your legs in no time. The first thing that most guys with skinny legs get wrong is that they allow their ego and self consciousness get in the way of what they should be doing in their leg workouts. No doubt, it can be a bit intimidating to watch others around you squat multiple plates while you are struggling to lift even one big plate for clean reps. That’s ok. Everyone starts somewhere and if you choose to start further ahead of where you should be it is a mistake that is going to hold you back for years to come. Most guys with skinny legs will put more weight on the bar than they can handle in the squat and then proceed to crank out quarter reps. Not only is this robbing your legs of the stress that they can handle but you are doing this at the exclusion of doing the reps you should be doing to build bigger legs the right way. What you need to do is lower the weight to those that you can handle and get your intensity not from the heavier weights but from the high rep sets that you do in good form through full range of motion. The next thing the hardgainer has to do for his legs is learn how to properly push from the ground. There is no way that you are going to lift as much weight as you can in your leg workouts unless you learn how to push through your feet. An equal and opposite force is needed to lift the weight that is on your shoulders during a squat. There is no better place to learn this than with the deadlift exercise. The deadlift demands that you push through your legs during the first half of the left, beyond which point it becomes a pulling exercise. If you practice just the first half of the deadlift or combine it in one and a half rep fashion, you will build more strength through the legs off the floor. The will dramatically help you to increase your squat and lift heavier weights over time. Multi-dimensional leg training is also important to fully developed legs. Almost all of the leg exercises that hardgainers use only stress the legs in the sagittal plane. Squats, leg extensions and leg curl are all one plane exercises that don’t mimic the functionality of the legs and limit the amount of growth that can be had by training the adductors and abductors of the legs as well. Finally, I like to include exercises for the legs that are technically easier to perform than the squat and allow for someone just starting out to add weight faster. The Bulgarian Split Squat is a great exercise for doing this since it literally puts you in the right position to perform the exercise. The quads get loaded and the safety of the exercise is intact since you can simply dump the weights if you need to at the bottom of the squat without risk. I have tiny legs(30 inch inseam) for my height. (5ft11) I've been trying to lock in my deadlift form so I've included a few clips. any advice would be much appreciated. I find it's really hard to keep my torso with being almost parallel to the ground without getting into an almost seated position. The first clip is I think my best form. Concentrated on pulling the bar up my chins and almost leaned back into the pull. Second clip I think I was pulling with the bar too far forward on my foot. Last two are failed attempts at 225. Don't need any comments on how low weight this is. Trust me I know. 7 months ago I was deadlifting 95 pounds. I'm happy wither where I've gotten to but I need to look this form in.

I wouldn't recommend these for any man. Bootcut Jeans - Similar to Loose fit. Slightly tighter in the thigh, but much wider towards the calf area. Great if you are wearing wellies and have aspirations to dress like you're from the 1970's. Terrible for anything else. Women mainly wear these, and that's for a reason. I wouldn't recommend these for any man. Straight Cut Jeans - Here we are in more acceptable territory. These are like loose fit jeans but slightly slimmer throughout. There are my choice for the older gentleman who doesn't want to look too contemporary. Slim Fit Jeans - In my opinion, the best jeans option on the market for the majority of men. These jeans are more cut to the leg and show off your figure in a good way. They have a more aesthetically pleasing look and can make any guy look great! Skinny Fit Jeans - These are one of the tightest fits on offer. They are slightly tighter than slim fit jeans. These look great on skinny guys but dreadful on men carrying extra weight. These are my choice for slimmer men. Spray on/super skinny fit jeans - These are horrific. Woman's jeans with the 'mens' label on basically. They are too tight in my opinion. What's the best Guard for a shorter person with strong thick legs? This is the question I received from a White Belt who is a short powerlifter and has some super strong legs. Her issue is that when she plays her BJJ game from the bottom she has trouble getting the positions and techniques to work for her. In my experience with Brazilian Jiu-jitsu as someone who has shorter legs for his height, and as someone who has found themselves against people 300+ on more than 1 occasion. Full guard is generally not going to be the most idea position for someone with shorter legs. Personally, Half Guard became my go to Guard in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu almost as soon as I began getting exposed to it. The advantage the Half Guard gives to someone with short legs or who is much smaller than their opponent. Is. . . 1. You only have to get your legs around 1 leg! Not their entire waist. 2. Being smaller or more stocky. It's a position in Brazilian Jiujitsu that favors a more compact build. So if you're having issues with full guard and you're on the shorter / stockier side, or maybe you're opponent is just much bigger. Than try using the BJJ Half Guard. This will probably open up options to Butterfly Guard and X Guard in the future as well. In the video I show an entry into the Half Guard from Mount. It puts pressure on your kneecap and thigh joints helping strengthening of your bones and making them tall. Start doing this exercise for 10-15 minutes a day, and gradually you can expand up to 30 minutes every day. The exercise is useful for a healthy spine too. Bow and Arrow Exercise: In order to do this exercise, you have to stand properly while extending your arms at shoulder height. Now, bending both knees, try to stand up pushing through your left heel. Then you need to rotate your right toes towards right and bending your right arm while letting your elbow stay on the right side. Now, bend both knees and straighten them again with feet turned right out and heels firmly touching the ground. This exercise strengthens your thigh while stretching the bones. Sage Pose: Stand firmly on the ground with both hands stretched apart. Now slowly move your left foot forward so that it is facing to your right. Then raise your right arm straight while turning your body. Now lift your right hand gently stretching your feet – stay in this position for a few minutes, repeat the procedure with your other leg too. Straight Leg-Stretch: This is one of the simplest exercises for long legs. Even a layman can do it by following simple steps. Start this exercise by lying flat on the ground with your back facing down. Then lift both knees towards your neck. Extending your right foot, hold it at least 5-inch above ground. Repeat the process with your left foot as well. While performing this exercise, you may have to tilt your shoulders and head off the ground a number of times by holding the ankle of your foot with both hands. Do this exercise 10-15 times every day without fail for better results. Leg Circle: Lying flat on your back, try to lift your right foot to the point of ceiling fan while keeping your left leg on the ground. Now, encircle your right leg towards the left shoulder and then again towards right. Repeat the whole process with your left leg as well. Do it daily for 10-15 minutes in the early morning. This exercise stretches your hamstring muscles and while increasing the length of your legs too – bit by bit. Kneeling Knee Exercise: Position yourself as a four-footed animal with your palm and knees facing the ground. Then crossing your left knee and foot over right calf, you have to put your left knee straight out to the side without changing the angle of your knee and foot. Repeat it you’re your other leg as well. Strengthening your hamstrings and inner thighs, this exercise extends your legs as well in due course of time. A new study shows that in people over the age of 50, men with legs less than 34 cm in circumference and women with less than 32 cm may have insufficient muscle mass. The condition, known as sarcopenia, leads to frequent falls, an increased risk of loss of leg function, and a shorter life. Experts say there are over 300,000 elderly people in Taiwan who face the threat of sarcopenia. Doctors recommend strengthening exercises, saying that squats are particularly effective at reducing the risk of falls. Doctors also recommend eating protein after the exercises.
