Hey guys! Happy Wednesday. If you’re new here, I’m Shaina…be sure to subscribe to start bettering yourself and your life.
Today, I collabed with Tina from Overall Adventures. I came across her channel a few weeks back and loved it! She’s very creative, really authentic and it completely shows in all of her videos. She has a ton of different journaling videos, which I’ve learned are really popular (the first journal video I ever did is actually my most popular video to date which still surprises me), but anyway Tina has a bunch of different ones, so make sure you check out her channel…I will link the information down below.
Tina and I are talking about “What to Write In a Journal,” (ooooooooh). There are so many things you can write in a journal, so I’m just going to throw a bunch of ideas at you guys, and just pay attention to which one speaks to you the most right now and run with it.
DAILY JOURNAL. It’s like having a record of your life to look back on.
DREAMS! Forget it.
FRUSTRATIONS! What’s bothering you? Get all your pent up emotions out of you and on to paper.
IDEAS! I would recommend getting one of those pocket-sized notebooks to carry around and whenever you have an idea, jot it down. Because you will forget those million dollar ideas after too much time has passed.
LETTERS! (ex-boyfriend / girlfriend or somebody that has passed away) Writing a letter is a chance for you to express everything you want to say to this person, whether or not you have the intention to send it. You can even burn it afterwards.
ART JOURNAL! Draw based on how you’re feeling. Short poems and stories. Anything that speaks to you in that creative form.
IDEAL DAY! This is when you allow yourself to daydream. Imagine what you want your life to look like 5-10 years from now, from the time you wake up to the time you go to sleep in vivid detail and then write it all down.
GRATITUDE! What you’re grateful for right now.
GOALS and DREAMS! A chance to get more specific about what you aspire to do and be. Write it down, make it happen.
ANSWER YOUR OWN QUESTIONS! (How am I going to pay off my credit card in 2 months? Should I leave my job or not? What negativity can I remove from my life right now?) Answer them and come up with your own solutions.
MAKE UP YOUR OWN JOURNAL PROMPTS!
For example, 21 things I love about myself. 10 reasons to go after my dreams. 5 things I want to better about myself this year. Why my ex-boyfriend was not the one! 15 things I WANT in a husband.
Start by sitting down with your journal and a pencil. Pinpoint which area of your life you’re focused on right now (career, relationship, bettering yourself- independent mind space) and come up with a journal prompt from there.
101 JOURNAL PROMPTS! I created a board on PINTEREST, “101 Journal Prompts,” for you guys to use as a 101-day journaling challenge or you can just pick and choose. The prompts are super easy, they’re fun and it’s a way for you guys to really get to know yourselves. You can find that board on my PINTEREST page- I will link it down below.
That’s it for today guys, if you liked this video, please give it a thumbs up right below, subscribe if you haven’t already and I’ll see you next week. Bye!
