A simple guide to electronic components.

38:06
By request:- A basic guide to identifying components and their functions for those who are new to electronics. This is a work in progress, and I welcome feedback from you guys on whether I should break it down into more manageable chunks. I've kept the maths to a minimum, since it can be off-putting to someone just getting started in electronics. The idea of this video is to slot in some more of the jigsaw pieces involved in learning electronics, when you start to recognise components, but aren't quite sure what they are or what they do. It's tricky to squeeze even the basics into a single video, and I've just realised how long this one is (and why it took all night to upload). If you enjoy my videos you can support the channel with a dollar for coffee, cookies and components at https://www.patreon.com/bigclive

What is ELECTRONIC WASTE? What does ELECTRONIC WASTE mean? ELECTRONIC WASTE meaning & explanation

What is ELECTRONIC WASTE? What does ELECTRONIC WASTE mean? ELECTRONIC WASTE meaning & explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. "Electronic waste" may be defined as discarded computers, office electronic equipment, entertainment device electronics, mobile phones, television sets, and refrigerators. This includes used electronics which are destined for reuse, resale, salvage, recycling, or disposal. Others are re-usables (working and repairable electronics) and secondary scrap (copper, steel, plastic, etc.) to be "commodities", and reserve the term "waste" for residue or material which is dumped by the buyer rather than recycled, including residue from reuse and recycling operations. Because loads of surplus electronics are frequently commingled (good, recyclable, and non-recyclable), several public policy advocates apply the term "e-waste" broadly to all surplus electronics. Cathode ray tubes (CRTs) are considered one of the hardest types to recycle. CRTs have relatively high concentration of lead and phosphors (not to be confused with phosphorus), both of which are necessary for the display. The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) includes discarded CRT monitors in its category of "hazardous household waste" but considers CRTs that have been set aside for testing to be commodities if they are not discarded, speculatively accumulated, or left unprotected from weather and other damage. The EU and its member states operate a system via the European Waste Catalogue (EWC)- a European Council Directive, which is interpreted into "member state law". In the UK, this is in the form of the List of Wastes Directive. However, the list (and EWC) gives broad definition (EWC Code 16 02 13*) of Hazardous Electronic wastes, requiring "waste operators" to employ the Hazardous Waste Regulations (Annex 1A, Annex 1B) for refined definition. Constituent materials in the waste also require assessment via the combination of Annex II and Annex III, again allowing operators to further determine whether a waste is hazardous. Debate continues over the distinction between "commodity" and "waste" electronics definitions. Some exporters are accused of deliberately leaving difficult-to-recycle, obsolete, or non-repairable equipment mixed in loads of working equipment (though this may also come through ignorance, or to avoid more costly treatment processes). Protectionists may broaden the definition of "waste" electronics in order to protect domestic markets from working secondary equipment. The high value of the computer recycling subset of electronic waste (working and reusable laptops, desktops, and components like RAM) can help pay the cost of transportation for a larger number of worthless pieces than can be achieved with display devices, which have less (or negative) scrap value. In A 2011 report, "Ghana E-Waste Country Assessment", found that of 215,000 tons of electronics imported to Ghana, 30% were brand new and 70% were used. Of the used product, the study concluded that 15% was not reused and was scrapped or discarded. This contrasts with published but uncredited claims that 80% of the imports into Ghana were being burned in primitive conditions.

The Story of Electronics

07:47
The Story of Electronics employs the Story of Stuff style to explore the high-tech revolution's collateral damage—25 million tons of e-waste and counting, poisoned workers and a public left holding the bill. Annie Leonard takes viewers from the mines and factories where our gadgets begin to the horrific backyard recycling shops in China where many end up. The film concludes with a call for a green 'race to the top' where designers compete to make long-lasting, toxic-free products that are fully and easily recyclable. Our production partner on the electronics film is the Electronics TakeBack Coalition, which promotes green design and responsible recycling in the electronics industry. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ Electronic sell-through (EST) is a method of media distribution whereby consumers pay a one-time fee to download a media file for storage on a hard drive. Although EST is often described as a transaction that grants content "ownership" to the consumer, the content may become unusable after a certain period and may not be viewable using competing platforms. EST is used by a wide array of digital media products, including movies, television, music, games, and mobile applications. The term is sometimes used interchangeably with download to own (DTO). The film and television industry's $18.8 billion home entertainment market consists of rental and sell-through segments, the latter of which includes the electronic sell-through of digital content. In 2010, EST generated $683 million of total home entertainment revenues, putting it behind the more lucrative revenue streams of cable video-on-demand (VOD) and internet video-on-demand (iVOD), which brought in a combined $1.8 billion in the same period. In 2010, Apple's iTunes Store accounted for three quarters of the U.S. EST business. The rest of the EST market was captured by Microsoft (via its Zune Video platform), Sony, Amazon VOD (now Amazon Video), and Walmart (via its VUDU service). A number of industry trends indicate the future expansion of EST's share of digital distribution revenues. David Bishop, worldwide president of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, describes the following outlook: “With the launch of UltraViolet (the cloud-based digital copy locker system) establishing a common digital distribution platform later this year, prices potentially coming down on digital sales, more marketing devoted to digital sellthrough, and studios adding more value to the sellthrough product by making HD available and building in smarter extra features, we see the balance tilting even more toward owning and collecting digital movies.”

Sustainable electronics are electronic products made with no toxic chemicals, recyclable parts, and reduced carbon emissions during production. "Sustainability is still very new, emerging business concept. Because of that, we lack uniform guidelines or standards applicable per industry sector that can help companies establish best practices." Many hazardous chemicals and materials are used in the production of electronics. These substances are further outlined in this page about electronic waste substances. No brand in 2014 had completely eliminated use of Phthalates, beryllium, antimony, BFRs, and PVC in their productions, but Nokia and Motorola have the best track record by eliminating 3 out of 5 above mentioned chemicals. "Sustainable ICT will enable us to protect and enhance human health and well-being and the environment over generations while minimizing the adverse life-cycle impacts of devices, infrastructure and services." Electronics contain many chemicals that are known to cause issues with human health. A lot of these chemicals also easily seep into the environment, whether it be in soil, water or the air. A lot of e-waste is exported to third world countries such as China and India, where the waste is put in a landfill and the chemicals are allowed to seep into the environment. In the U.S. in 2011 only about 25% of e-waste was actually recycled. By using sustainable electronics principles, such as Green Engineering, chemicals can be prevented from entering electronics in the first place, or can be removed properly once a product has reached the end of its life cycle. Green engineering is the process of using sustainable materials and methods to create products that can be used for long periods of time and can be taken apart and reused; ultimately fostering a sustainable way to build and use technology. Green engineering works to find solutions to the waste and hazardous materials that are frequently used in the building of technology today. The goals of green engineering are to use materials that will “conserve and improve natural ecosystems while protecting human health and well-being.” Along with this, the EPA wants to have incentives to motivate companies and developers to have green engineering in mind when they produce their products. They want green engineering to become the norm as technology moves forward. The development of green engineering across communities and across the globe will promote a more sustainable way of life as humans continue to rely on technology to improve their daily lives.

SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ An electronic line judge is a device used in tennis to automatically detect where a ball has landed on the court. Attempts to revolutionize tennis officiating and the judging of calls in the sport began in the early 1970s and has resulted in the design, development and prototyping of several computerized, electronic line-judge devices. The methods have been based upon the use of pressure sensors, sensors to detect magnetized or electrically conductive tennis balls, infrared laser beams, and most recently video cameras. The first successful public demonstration of a computerized device to make automated line calls at a professional tennis tournament was in 1974. (The Electroline-control computer pictured at the right). This original tennis electronic line judge device, invented by Geoffrey Grant, an avid tennis player, and Robert Nicks, an electronics engineer, was used in the championship finals of both the Men’s World Championship Tennis in Dallas in May, 1974 and the Ladies’ Virginia Slims tour in Los Angeles. Although the Grant-Nicks pressure sensor based system was given rave reviews in the press at its introduction and was issued with a USPTO patent, the product was never commercialized. This inaugural electronic line-judge device worked on a principle of large, thin mylar conductive plastic pressure sensors beneath the surface of a carpet court. It was able to distinguish between a foot and the tennis ball; the computer detected the sharp, millisecond pulse of the ball bounce striking the ground, as compared to the slowness and electronic print of player’s foot movements. Even when a foot was present on the sensor a dynamic load circuit was able to detect and distinguish between the signals. Beneath the court surface on each boundary line of the court were both and "in" and "out" sensors so that if a ball hit the outside of the line and also hit the "out" sensor the computer would correctly overrule the "out" call allowing play to continue. This first electronic device made decisions not only as to whether the ball landed within the boundaries of the playing zones, but also was wired to make foot fault and service net-cord legal serve decisions. The foot fault judge used directional microphones to detect the striking of the ball by the player’s racquet, when serving the ball, that functioned in conjunction with a timing circuit to detect if the players foot had activated the baseline line ‘IN’ sensor immediately prior to, or during, the striking of the ball. The net cord ‘Let’ sensor was a simple piezoelectric device, initially a guitar pickup, to detect if the tennis ball touched the net during the service delivery. The service line sensors, net-cord sensor, legal serve and foot fault devices were turned "on" in unison during the process of a player serving the ball at the beginning of each point and then turned "off" as the opponent returned the ball. In its successful inaugural use, at the Men’s World Championships of Tennis 1974 finals in the Southern Methodist University indoor stadium in Dallas TX, the device was limited to judging only the service line. A later prototype was used to call all tennis court lines plus the net-cord as at the Ladies Virginia Slims championships in Los Angeles during 1975. ....

Digital receipts are normally sent via e-mail or via an app. Unlike paper receipts, e-receipts are used to reduce paper usage. These e-receipts are used to inform the customer of rebates and discounts. Another important purpose is to use the digital receipts as marketing instrument. Another reason for the use of e-receipts is Business Intelligence. Through the usage of these e-receipts, companies can track their customers easier in terms of purchases, which supports the Business intelligence. Through this companies can adapt their marketing campaign towards the customers. The e-receipt helps to connect customers to their in-store purchases. Merchants can issue E-receipts using own mechanisms or use external services specialized on electronic payments. One of such providers is Square Inc. Other companies are specialized in E-receipt aggregation allowing a consumer to see all E-receipts, in one place, for example WalletWizz Inc. Possible ways of distributing the email receipts may be to sent an e-mail, an app or a website/web app. The general idea of the e-receipt remains the same, there are only different ways of distribution. There are many different companies that already offer their customers e-receipts.

SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ The electronic tongue is an instrument that measures and compares tastes. Chemical compounds responsible for taste are detected by human taste receptors, and the seven sensors of electronic instruments detect the same dissolved organic and inorganic compounds. Like human receptors, each sensor has a spectrum of reactions different from the other. The information given by each sensor is complementary and the combination of all sensors' results generates a unique fingerprint. Most of the detection thresholds of sensors are similar to or better than those of human receptors. In the biological mechanism, taste signals are transducted by nerves in the brain into electric signals. E-tongue sensors process is similar: they generate electric signals as potentiometric variations. Taste quality perception and recognition is based on building or recognition of activated sensory nerve patterns by the brain and on the taste fingerprint of the product. This step is achieved by the e-tongue’s statistical software which interprets the sensor data into taste patterns. One variation was developed by Professor Fredrik Winquist of Linköping University, Sweden. Liquid samples are directly analyzed without any preparation, whereas solids require a preliminary dissolution before measurement. Reference electrode and sensors are dipped in a beaker containing a test solution. A voltage is applied between each sensor and a reference electrode, and a measurable current response results that is consistent with the Cottrell equation. This current response is a result of oxidizing reactions that take place in the solution due to the voltage difference, and can be amplified through catalytic surface treatments. The response is measured and recorded by the e-tongue's software. These data represent the input for mathematical treatment that will deliver results. The electronic tongue uses taste sensors to receive information from chemicals on the tongue and send it to a pattern recognition system. The result is the detection of the tastes that compose the human palate. The types of taste that is generated is divided into five categories sourness, saltiness, bitterness, sweetness, and umami (savoriness). Sourness, which includes hydrogen chloride, acetic acid, and citric acid, is created by hydrogen ions. Saltiness is registered as sodium chloride, sweetness by sugars, bitterness, which includes chemicals such as quinine and caffeine is detected through magnesium chloride, and umami by monosodium glutamate from seaweed, or disodium guanylate in meat/fish/mushrooms.

What is ELECTRONIC LEVIATHAN? What does ELECTRONIC LEVIATHAN mean? ELECTRONIC LEVIATHAN meaning

What is ELECTRONIC LEVIATHAN? What does ELECTRONIC LEVIATHAN mean? ELECTRONIC LEVIATHAN meaning - ELECTRONIC LEVIATHAN definition - ELECTRONIC LEVIATHAN explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. The concept of Electronic Leviathan was developed on the basis of research into a product of electronic government, ICP-Brasil or, the Brazilian Public Key Infrastructure (Infra-estrutura de Chaves Públicas Brasileira), conducted by Marcello Barra. Most of the data used came from interviews with those involved in ICP-Brasil’s development, including politicians from the Executive Branch, technical experts in the bureaucracy, members of the banking and business communities, representatives from lawyers’ associations (the OAB – the Brazilian Bar Association) and academia, as well as representatives of the information technology industry. ICP-Brasil files and regulations were also used, along with presidential speeches, and e-government legislation. See also BARRA, 2009 in EDUSC. How can you prove that you are yourself in the internet? How can the authenticity of a document sent via internet be proved? ICP-Brasil - the Brazilian Public Keys Infrastructure (ICP) was developed to answer these two questions, by providing a form of identification and authentication in the internet. ICP-Brasil was created by Brazilian State as a mechanism that allows for the so-called “digital signature”, with validity recognized by this State. Technically, ICP-Brasil is a set of legal norms based on specific technoscientific knowledge. It is a theoretical and interpretative construct to understand ICP-Brasil’s process. First, the developers of ICP-Brasil sought to guarantee the conditions needed to ensure the existence of the State itself, a concern which had eventually led to an increase in centralized power. Those developers' next priority was to diminish insecurity on the internet: by enhancing security when using software connected to the net; by combating what was perceived as a possibility of monopoly formation or anarchy in the digital certification market; and by somehow controlling the use of the internet as a doorway to the sort of anarchy that prevails in the world of international relations. This was a State that guaranteed security. At the same time, it tried to settle: the dispute between financial institutions and the Certisign company (since the banking community was worried about the possibility of a market monopoly); the possible dispute among banks over the digital certification market; and the struggles among bureaucratic structures. This was a State that ensured peace. Several elements in the ICP-Brasil case involve the State and tie in to the electronic Leviathan in various ways. These elements are: a. the “reason of State”, including concerns regarding the State’s security and guarantees to ensure its continuing existence; b. the control of society by the State; c. the political decision-making structure, starting with the Head of State; d. a domination strategy emanating from the bureaucracy; e. the power of the police; f. the treatment of asymmetric cryptography, a dual-use technology controlled by States; g. the consideration given to international practices as evidenced by the comparative examination of other States’ laws and uses of that technology; h. the issue of national security, linked to foreign relations and the geopolitical configuration of States, leading to an in-depth analysis of what and how was being done in other countries; i. updating the way war is waged –“cyber war”; j. containment of problems relating to sovereignty and territory.

What is ELECTRONIC SERVICES DELIVERY? What does ELECTRONIC SERVICES DELIVERY mean? ELECTRONIC SERVICES DELIVERY meaning - ELECTRONIC SERVICES DELIVERY definition - ELECTRONIC SERVICES DELIVERY explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. Electronic services delivery or ESD refers to providing government services through the Internet or other electronic means. It is related to e-services and e-government. E-service (or eservice) is a highly generic term usually referring to ‘The provision of services via the Internet (the prefix 'e' standing for ‘electronic’, as it does in many other usages), thus e-Service may also include e-Commerce, although it may also include non-commercial services (online), which is usually provided by the government.’ (Alexei Pavlichev & G. David Garson, 2004: 169-170; Muhammad Rais & Nazariah, 2003: 59, 70-71). ‘An umbrella term for services available on the Internet, e-Service include e-Commerce transaction services for handling online orders, application hosting by application service providers (ASPs) and any processing capability that is obtainable on the Web.’ (Computer Desktop Encyclopedia, 2009) E-Service or 'electronic service' constitutes the online services available on the Internet, whereby a valid transaction of buying and selling (procurement) is possible, as opposed to the traditional websites, whereby only descriptive information are available, and no online transaction is made possible.' Electronic hardware can range from individual chips/circuits to distributed information processing systems. Well designed electronic hardware is composed of hierarchies of functional modules which inter-communicate via precisely defined interfaces. Hardware logic is primarily a differentiation of the data processing circuitry from other more generalized circuitry. For example nearly all computers include a power supply which consists of circuitry not involved in data processing but rather powering the data processing circuits. Similarly, a computer may output information to a computer monitor or audio amplifier which is also not involved in the computational processes.

What is Gross Domestic Product (GDP)?

04:36
Picture the economy as a giant supermarket, with billions of goods and services inside. At the checkout line, you watch as the cashier rings up the price for each finished good or service sold. What have you just observed? The cashier is computing a very important number: gross domestic product, or GDP. GDP is the market value of all finished goods and services, produced within a country in a year. But, what does "market value" mean? And what defines a "finished good"? These, and more questions, percolate inside your head. Meanwhile, the cashier starts ringing up the total, and you’re left confused. An array of things pass by you — A bottle of wine. A carton of eggs. A cake from the local bakers. A tractor, of all things. A bunch of ballpens. A bag of flour. In this video, join us as we show you how to make sense of this important economic indicator. You’ll learn how GDP is computed, and you’ll get answers to some pretty interesting questions along the way. Questions like, “Why are the eggs in my homemade omelet part of the GDP, but the eggs my baker uses are not? Why does my bottle of French wine contribute to France’s GDP, even if I bought it in the United States?” Most importantly, you’ll also learn why polar bears aren’t part of the GDP computation, even if they’re incredibly cute. So, buckle in for a bit—in the following videos we’ll dive into specifics on GDP. What is Electric Current?

05:13
When electric charges move, that's called current! In most circuits, this movement is accomplished by electrons in a conductor. As it turns out, an electron doesn't need to move very far; it can force other electrons in the conductor to move. In the video, we demonstrate moving electric charges with a tube and some metal balls. We also examine conventional current vs. electron flow and how good ol' Ben Franklin can be blamed for that bit of confusion. What is ELECTRONIC SHELF LABEL? What does ELECTRONIC SHELF LABEL mean?

02:00
What is ELECTRONIC SHELF LABEL? What does ELECTRONIC SHELF LABEL mean? ELECTRONIC SHELF LABEL meaning - ELECTRONIC SHELF LABEL definition - ELECTRONIC SHELF LABEL explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. An electronic shelf label (ESL) system is used by retailers for displaying product pricing on shelves. Typically, electronic display modules are attached to the front edge of retail shelving. These modules use electronic paper (E-paper) or liquid-crystal display (LCD) to show the current product price to the customer. E-paper is currently trending in the ESL market as it provides crisp display and supports full graphic imaging. A communication network allows the price display to be automatically updated whenever a product price is changed. This communication network is the true differentiation and what really makes ESL a viable solution. The wireless communication must support reasonable range, speed, battery life, and reliability. The means of wireless communication can be based on radio, infrared or even visible light communication. Currently, the ESL market leans heavily towards radio frequency based ESL solutions. A study led by ABI Research said that the global ESL market could reach US$2 billion by 2019. Automated ESL systems reduces pricing management labor costs, improves pricing accuracy and allows dynamic pricing. Dynamic pricing is the concept in which retailers can fluctuate pricing to match demand, online competition, inventory levels, shelf-life of items, and to create promotions.

They are interested in symbols and ideas that help them relate the product to a desired lifestyle and positive expectations about the future. Customers do not simply buy products because they satisfy their needs. Instead, they are interested in becoming clients of firms that offer them a complete product concept – an idea or a promise, if you will. The best products make people happier and create a positive expectation before being consumed.

What is RFID? How RFID works? RFID Explained in Detail

10:10
In this video, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) Technolgy has been explained. So, in this video, what is RFID, what is inside this RFID system, how RFID works, and application of RFID have been explained. What is RFID? RFID is technology which works on radio frequency and it is used for the auto-identification for the different object. The RFID system mainly consists of two parts. 1) RFID Reader or Interrogator 2) RFID Tags In this RFID system, this RFID reader continuously sends radio waves of a particular frequency. If the object, on which this RFID tag is attached is within the range of this radio waves then it sends the feedback back to this RFID reader. And based on this feedback, RFID reader identifies the object. RFID tags: Now, three different kinds of RFID tags are commercially available. 1) Passive tags 2) Active tags 3) Semi-passive tags These passive tags do not have any power supply. They used to get their power from the incoming radio waves from the Readers. While active tags have a power source for their internal circuitries. And for sending the response to the reader also, it uses its own power supply. In the case of semi-passive tags, they have a power supply for internal circuitries, but for sending the response it relies on the radio waves received from the Reader. Operating Frequency: This RFID system is mainly operated in three frequency bands. 1) LF: Low-Frequency band 2) HF: High-Frequency band 3) UHF: Ultra High-Frequency band The exact frequency of operation varies from country to country. Operating Principles: Most of the RFID systems operate on any of this two principles. 1) Load Modulation 2) Backscattered Modulations Applications of RFID: 1. Institutions: Library, Hospitals, Schools, and Colleges 2. Transportation and Logistics 3. Access Control 4. Sports 5. Animal Tracking Timestamps for the different topics in the video is given below: 0:40 What is RFID? 1:56 What is inside this RFID chip? 4:42 Operating Frequencies for the RFID Systems 5:27 Working Principle of RFID Systems This video will be helpful to everyone in understanding the concept of RFID Technology. Introduction to Operational Amplifier: Characteristics of Ideal Op-Amp

13:10
In this video, the basic introduction of the Operational Amplifier (Op-Amp) has been given and different characteristics of ideal and real Op-amp (General Purpose 741 Op-Amp) has been discussed. What is Operational Amplifier: Operational Amplifier is one kind of Very High Gain Differential Amplifier with a single output. Using this Op-Amp it is possible to perform different mathematic operations (by connecting few external resistors and capacitors) like addition, subtraction, integration, differentiation etc. And that is why it is known as Operational Amplifier. Opamp consist of two inputs : 1) Inverting Input 2) Non-Inverting Input The output of the Op-amp in open loop configuration is the product of open-loop gain and the difference between two inputs. As, the gain of the Op-amp is very high, so in open loop configuration, even a small input signal will saturate the op-amp output. And the saturation voltage depends on the biasing voltages. Characteristics of Ideal Op-amp: 1) Infinite Input Impedance 2) Zero Output Impedance 3) Infinite Voltage Gain 4) Infinite Bandwidth 5) Infinite Slew Rate 6) Infinite Common Mode Rejection Ratio (CMRR ) 7) Zero input offset voltage (Output is Zero when input is Zero) The timestamps for the different topics covered in the video is given below: 0:37 What is Operational Amplifier and Why it is known as Operational Amplifier? 1:17 Circuit Symbol of Op-Amp and Op-Amp in the open loop configuration 5:00 Voltage Transfer Curve of op-amp 7:24 Equivalent Circuit of the Op-amp 7:47 Ideal Op-amp characteristics 12:00 Characteristics or different parameters of General Purpose Op-Amp (741) This video will be helpful to all students of science and engineering in understanding the Operational Amplifier and its different Characteristics. #OperationalAmplifier #OpAmp #CharacterisitcsofIdealOpAmp Follow me on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/allaboutelectronics Follow me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ALLABOUTELECRONICS/ Follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/all_about.electronics/ Music Credit: http://www.bensound.com/

View our counter surveillance collection - https://spycentre.com/collections/counter-surveillance 1-800-292-7748 Mon-Sat 10am to 6pm CST https://spycentre.com/ Hello everyone, my name is Tim and I am one of the product specialists here at Spy Centre Security. Thee Spy Gear Super Store. And I'm here to talk to you guys about Counter Surveillance. This guide will help make sense about what Bug Detectors actually are and how they work. I will also go over the reasons why there are so many and how they are not created equal. A bug detector is a general term about a device that will help locate something that may be spying on you. This could be a microphone that listens in, a camera that views your every move, or even a GPS tracker that could be tracking your vehicle. There are many forms of Counter Surveillance. You have RF detectors, Camera Lens Finders, White Noise generators and Signal Blocking Bags as the main different types. I am going to talk about each one in order to help guide you to the correct device depending on what you are trying to find. First up we have Radio Frequency Detectors, or RF Detectors for short. These devices pick up the source of a wireless signal. Meaning if you have an antenna that is transmitting information it would be able to locate that antenna. The easiest way to visualize this is to think about how a metal detector works. The closer you are to a piece of metal the device will beep. This operates the same way, but do keep in mind that it's locating a signal, this could be a wireless camera, a wireless microphone or even something completely harmless like your Radio, TV, Blu-tooth, WiFi or even just your smart phone. This is where RF Detectors start to separate themselves and the differences between RF detectors become clearer. Higher end RF Detectors have the ability to distinguish one signal from another that they are detecting. A really good example of why and how this is useful is; say you are doing an RF sweep in a high rise building and the RF Detector you are using starts to indicate that there is a strong signal near by. After some intense searching you realize it's a WiFi extender from the floor below you that is skewing your results. A higher end RF Detector would've told you that the signal it's detecting was actually a WiFi signal which would have allowed you to ignore it completely and move on. This feature is extremely useful whenever you cannot control your environment, such as being outdoors to sweep a vehicle, living in an apartment or condo or if you're staying in a hotel, and those are just some examples. Another thing that you can look out for which can distinguish RF Detectors from one another is a lot of them are coming with multi-function designs. A lot of higher end RF Detectors will have multiple features built right into the same device so it would have the ability to say, not only detect RF signals but produce White Noise to secure a conversation. Now no two RF Detectors will have all of the same multi-function use so it's really up to you to find the features that would help your unique situation the best. To find that, I would recommend watching the video located on the product page on our website for all of our Counter Surveillance products to get the best idea of their features and how it can help you. Really the last thing that can set RF Detectors apart is their Detection Range. This simply means how many different signals they can detect. You can find this information in the spec sheets or features section on our website. This is important because if you are looking for a device that transmits on a 7Ghz band and the detector you are using caps out at 6Ghz the RF Detector you are using literally cannot detect that signal and you will never be able to locate it's source. Up next is our Camera Lens locators. This is an extremely basic concept but it works incredibly well. Essentially what this does is it finds a cameras lens by shining a light out as you look through a view finder that tinted to dull all colors. What happen is that light refracts off of a cameras lens and shines back at you and appears to look like a little dot shining back at you. The genius behind this design is the fact that it finds both Wired and Wireless cameras. Since it finds a cameras lens and every camera requires a lens in order to focus you can literally find any camera with one of these devices. If you want to know more or see a demonstration on how it works take a look at the product page for these products. White Noise Generators produce noise to confuse Audio Recorders. This could be a bunch of recordings played on top of each other to blend in with your conversation or simply static noise that is louder than the spoken word. These devices are designed to conceal and keep your conversations private. To know more about them and to see a demonstration on how they work take look at the video located on the product page.

Op-Amp: CMRR (Common Mode Rejection Ratio) Explained (with example)

10:10
In this video, what is Common Mode Rejection Ratio (CMRR) in op-amp and what is the importance of CMRR has been explained with the example. What is CMRR? CMRR is the ratio of differential gain and the common mode gain. For ideal op-amp, the value of CMRR is infinite, but for practical op-amp's the value of CMRR used to be in the range of 80 to 100 dB. Common mode gain is the gain of op-amp when same input is applied or same input is present at both input terminals. Op-Amp in open loop condition acts as a differential amplifier and amplifies the difference between the two input terminals. So, if both inputs are equal then the output of the op-amp in ideal condition should be zero. But actually, some output used to be present at the output terminal. And the ratio of this common output to the input voltage is known as the common mode gain. For ideal op-amp, the value of common mode gain should be zero. But practical op-amp has some finite value (less than 1) of common mode gain. Noise is the main source of common mode input signal. And op-amp should be able to suppress this noise as much as possible. And how well it is able to suppress this noise is represented by this CMRR. The timestamps for the different topics covered in the video. 0:20 What is CMRR and what is the importance of CMRR. 4:58 Example This video will be helpful to all the students of science and engineering in understanding the concept of CMRR in op-amp. What is ELECTRONIC REGISTRATION MARK? What does ELECTRONIC REGISTRATION MARK mean? ELECTRONIC REGISTRATION MARK meaning - ELECTRONIC REGISTRATION MARK definition - ELECTRONIC REGISTRATION MARK explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ An electronic registration mark is a proposed category of trademark that would restrict the use of trademarked words and phrases in online advertising. The State of Utah proposed this in response to trademark owners' claims that online advertisers have abused trademarked terms. Some online advertisers, particularly search engines, allow trademarked keywords to generate advertisements for a trademark holder’s competitors. Several corporations have sued search engines to stop this practice, claiming that it violates United States trademark law. In most of these cases, courts have ruled that traditional trademark law, as currently written, does not restrict advertisers’ ability to use trademarked terms to trigger advertisements. The Utah Trademark Protection Act created the electronic registration mark. Under this now defunct law, trademark holders could have restricted the use of its registered trademarks to generate advertisements for products that compete directly with the trademarked product. The owner of the mark could have sought redress from two parties: The competitor that purchased the advertisement, and the website that displayed the keyword-generated advertisement. This law applied only to internet pages viewed within the State of Utah. The law had instructed the state to create a searchable database of electronic registration marks and to provide access to this database free of charge. This became Utah law in 2007 but was repealed in 2008 before implementation. No other states have established electronic registration mark laws, and the federal government's trademark law does not clearly address how it applies to online keyword searching. Judges in France have consistently upheld rulings that French trademark law bans the sale of trademarked search terms in keyword advertising for any website viewed from within France. Critics find several flaws with electronic registration marks. They argue that restricting the keywords that advertisers can use violates the First Amendment. Another issue concerns an advertiser’s ability to determine whether a web page is being viewed in Utah or elsewhere: Because of this ambiguity, the law may be vulnerable to Dormant Commerce Clause challenges. Critics also assert that the law worsens the quality of online search results by restricting the search results that users can view. Supporters respond that trademark law has always considered trademark infringement to be a form of theft that is not protected speech, that search engines have demonstrated that they can pinpoint Internet users’ locations, and that paid advertisements are not a core component of an Internet user's experience.

http://www.molex.com/product/hdmi.html High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI)* Leading the industry as the first manufacturer of the HDMI Micro Type D connector, the world's smallest standard I/O interconnect to deliver high-definition video and images from digital cameras and mobile devices to flat-panel screens HDMI Micro Type D ConnectorMolex's High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) connectors and cable assemblies provide an uncompressed digital link between consumer electronics equipment and audio/video monitors. HDMI is a small, user-friendly interconnect that can carry up to 5 Gbps of combined video and audio in a single cable. This system eliminates the cost, complexity and confusion of multiple cables used to connect current A/V systems. The HDMI Type D (Micro) connector is roughly half the size of the current Type C Mini HDMI connector, while still meeting all the electrical and mechanical specifications of the High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) Specification 1.4. Molex's HDMI Type D Micro connector is the handheld industry's smallest, commoditized I/O solution for consumer electronics and portable handheld-device makers worldwide. Developed by the HDMI Consortium, a group of companies that defines HDMI specifications, the new HDMI connector standard was designed to meet growing demands of high-definition (HD) and high-resolution content of the digital still camera, mobile and smart phone markets. A new technology based on a single digital connection was needed that could support transfer and viewing of HD videos, high-resolution photos and downloaded HD content from these handheld devices onto large, HD displays. The current Type C (Mini) HDMI connector was too large to support the newer and more compact designs of such handheld devices. Molex was chosen to lead in the HDMI Type D connector development and played an integral role in the HDMI consortium by proposing the connector design and specification. Molex Incorporated is proud to announce an Emmy® for Technology and Engineering from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) in recognition of its pioneering connector design for High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI*). The award, which is shared by ten companies involved in the development of HDMI, was formally presented to Molex at NATAS's 60th Annual Emmy Awards ceremony, held at the International Consumer Electronics Show, Las Vegas, on January 7, 2009. Please click here to read the official announcement. Molex's HDMI Type D Micro connector was the first to be recognized by the HDMI Licensing organization on their "Approved Connectors" list for Type D connectors. Here is an Amazon link to the oil I have referred to - https://amzn.to/2Vg6WKT Please ensure you choose the correct oil code for your engine as directed by your user manual. There is an opportunity to enter your car REG details for further ans easier finding of parts for your vehicle. If you purchase you are Not buying the product from us (The Repair Specialist), you are buying from an Amazon seller. My mission is to take subjects that can seem quite daunting and somewhat difficult to understand and explain them in such a way that everyone can understand and benefit. All too often things are explained to us in a way that is difficult to grasp. I really hope that all of my tutorials are understandable by most, if not all, people who wish to view them. I want to help people understand as I was helped by some fantastic mentors during my years as a University student, in Science, and a trainee apprentice as an engineer. In fact, I could NOT have became a qualified repair engineer or a Science graduate if I never had these wonderful people in my life. Sadly, some of them are no longer with us to see these videos, which I really want to dedicate to them. More than anyone else, I want to dedicate these to my Father, who is still a practicing engineer, for always pushing me into this field and ensuring I applied my mind to it, and for my amazing late mother, who nurtured, cared, loved and motivated me all of my life. When I was down she would always reach down and stand me back up again, telling me I was worth something. I only wish I could thank her in person and show her these videos. I realise now that she was my biggest and most amazing mentor. Thank you for 40 Golden years mom! I hope you find this video useful. I have tried to explain the meaning behind the codes you find on the engine oil containers. It basically explains their meaning and why they have been given their particular codes. Codes may include 5w-30, 10w-30, 10w-40 or 15w-40, to name just a few available. If you are interested then I have other educational videos on Carburetors.
