SEO For Beginners: 3 Powerful SEO Tips to Rank #1 on Google in 2019

09:21
SEO For Beginners: 3 Powerful SEO Tips to Rank #1 on Google in 2019 Are you new to SEO and want to rank #1 on google this upcoming year? Here are 3 SEO strategies that will boost your rankings! #1: Focus on content Google has this update called Hummingbird, and with Hummingbird, websites who just have content on everything won't do as well as sites which focus on one single niche and are super thorough. You want to be VERY thorough with your SEO content. Poke holes in your content and fill them all up, so then that way people are like, "This is the end all site "that you should end up reading "if you're interested in dating online." #2: Optimize your title tag and your meta description Have you ever done a Google search, and noticed that every time you do it, there is this link at the top, and then there's this one sentence with a link at the top is called the title tag. And the description below is called the meta description. Now think of it this way, if you search for the phrase online dating, and you don't see the word online dating in neither the title or the description, are you going to click on the result? Well if you are, there's something wrong, because why would you click on a result that isn't related to what you're looking for? In addition to that, have you ever searched for a term like online dating? And have you ever noticed that the word isn't in the title or description? That's because Google tracks who's clicking on what listing, and they've learned that when a keyword is in the listing, that same keyword that you're searching for, they know you're way more likely to click through. So in your title tag and your meta description, make sure you include the keyword. But you can't just add the keyword, "online dating," right? The easiest way and what I would do and I wish it was this simple; I will just put "online dating, online dating, online dating, online dating." If I could put it 20 times so people would know that the article is on online dating, I wish I would get more clicks. But it's not that simple. Yes you have to include the keyword in your title and your description, but it has to be appealing. If it doesn't flow in a sentence, it's not easy to read, and it's not appealing or evoking curiosity, no one is gonna click through. #3: Use Google Search Console Did you know that Google gives you a tool that teaches you how to rank number one on Google? Yes I know that sounds ridiculous but it is true, and it's called Google Search Console. If you're not already a user of it, sign up. It doesn't cost a dollar. You're missing out if you're not using it. I can't emphasize that enough. So now that you're using Google Search Console...give it a few days because it takes some time to populate data. You'll see a screen that shows Search Analytics and this shows you all the pages on your website that are getting you traffic. But the cool thing about Google Search Console is they also show you which articles are getting impressions. Take all the keywords you're getting impressions for and start adding them to your copy. Now we have an article on Instagram, and it teaches you how to get over 300 targeted Instagram followers per day. The article is around 10,000 words. When I first wrote that article, it wasn't 10,000 words, it was roughly 2,500. I went to Google Search Console, I saw all the people that are searching for terms related to the article, I added them within that article. I made it more thorough and you know what? My SEO traffic more than tripled to that article. Yes it is that simple. And when I made that change, it didn't happen right away, but I noticed the results within 50 days. That's not a long time. Now that you've learned these three tips, I challenge you in which I want you to take these tactics and implement them, and then after you implement them, in the next 45 days I want you to leave a comment with your results. Because if you're not doing well, that means I'm not happy. Introducing Google Tulip

02:24
We're excited to announce Google Tulip. Decoding the language of flowers has been a decades-long challenge. But that changes today. Thanks to great advancements in artificial intelligence, Google Assistant on phones and Google Home is now able to understand tulips, allowing translation between Tulipish and dozens of human languages. If you want to try for yourself, set your Google Assistant on phone or smart speaker to the English language and say "Talk to Tulip Translator". Download the Google Assistant on Android: https://goo.gl/D2qe41 Download the Google Assistant on iPhone: https://goo.gl/31BfKn Visit our friends at Keukenhof: https://keukenhof.nl/en/ Read more about plants and communication at Wageningen University & Research: https://www.wur.eu/plant-language #GoogleTulip #HeyGoogle Throughout time, humans have created more and more effective ways to communicate with each other. But technology hasn’t quite made it there with flowers, even though it’s no secret that members of the floral world do talk to one another. Scientists have found that plants use their roots to send signals to neighboring plants, as a means to maintain their security and wellbeing. The ability to speak with tulips comes with great environmental and societal benefits. Tulips now have a way to indicate to humans that they’re in need of water, light or simply some more space. As their needs are expressed more clearly, they are able to live a happier and healthier life. Socially, it turns out that plants, and particularly tulips, are very chatty, and make for great friends. Tulips are excellent listeners and when listened to carefully, give sound advice. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Google Tulip was largely developed and tested in the Netherlands, a country that produces 12.5 billion flowers a year. In particular, the Dutch are world renowned for their tulips, and even have a world-famous flower park, called Keukenhof, which provided the perfect testing ground. Google is uniquely positioned to solve the challenge of speaking with plants. Building on an advancement called Neural Machine Translation, we worked with Wageningen University & Research to map tulip signals to human language. After two years of training, we were finally able to add Tulipish as a language to Google Home’s recently introduced Interpreter Mode. Google Tulip is only available on April 1, 2019. Look for it on your Google Home device, simply by saying, “Hey Google, talk to my tulip.”

Google and Shopping

03:08
Since Google was founded, we have worked to make it easier for people to find what they are looking for. We have a simple belief: focus on the user, and all else will follow. This is at the heart of how we show products in Search, in which we show users the most relevant results by working directly with merchants to present accurate specs, trustworthy reviews, competitive prices and the quickest means of purchase. While technology and behaviors may evolve and change, our focus on the user will always remain the same.

I perform a live test using Google chrome on a Windows 10 PC to discover whether my microphone appears to be recording me even when my browser is turned off in order to better target advertisements. As pointed out in the comments, there are too many flaws in my methodology to draw any conclusions (for instance I am live streaming directly to YouTube which of course necessitates recording my microphone the whole time). 02:51
Welcome to this episode of emarketing Basics. Today we're discussing Product Data Feeds for ecommerce stores. What is a Product Data Feed, how does it work, and why is it important for an ecommerce merchant? 🛍 0:11 - A product data feed is the way that your store connects and communicates to an ad platform to make Product Listing Ads. Product Listing Ads do not require design or creative, they simply have a picture of your product, the description, and the price listed 0:47 - Here is an example of what a Product Listing Ad looks like. You can see how important it is to have a full, descriptive Product Data Feed that is filled out correctly so that your ads show up in relevant searches. 1:07 - You'll want to consider some best practices for your Product Data Feed before getting started: ✅Keep your descriptions SEO friendly ✅Don't use too many Product Data Feed Tools (you don't want these to overlap) ✅Add as many details as possible and update your feed when you make changes to your shop ✅Use the right tool for you that can communicate between your store and your ads (emarketing does this for you!) SEO is often thought about as a black magic that few if any can master especially at an enterprise level. The simple truth of SEO is that you are tasked with creating value for customers and using technology and content as a means to do so. Despite the complexity often assumed with SEO, search engines like Google are in the business of proving users, real humans, unique valuable information and experiences, if you can build products to support that with some technical caveats, you too can SEO. Ask the Experts: Can I Use the Same Strategy on the Google Search & Display Networks?

03:40
So today we’re going to be focused on what is the difference between the search and display networks. So many of my clients think that they work similarly, and they try to apply the exact same strategy when working with both networks. But the reality is that it’s like comparing apples and oranges. There’s no way you can apply the same strategy to both networks. So it’s really, really important to understand how each of these networks work, and you need to think about what strategy is going to be best for you; which network best fits your marketing needs. Let’s start by talking about the search network, because that’s the most common one people are thinking about when they’re running a PPC account. The cool thing about the search network is you’re targeting an active searcher. So somebody is coming into AdWords and they’re actively looking for your products or your services. Then you have the opportunity to kind of serve up your ad right there for them. It’s kind of like the perfect storm, right? You have these people who are excited about what they’re looking for, ready to make a purchase or check something out, and you’re giving them an ad that’s relevant and specific to what they’re searching for. That’s how the search network works. I recommend it for new PPC advertisers; start with the search network. I’d also recommend it for people who really need to easily attribute the advertising directly with the result, so you’re going to see direct conversions from the search network. Now let’s talk about the flipside of that, which is the display network. The display network is focused on a more passive searcher. So, think about your day-to-day. You probably visit, you know, maybe online news sites, blogs – personally, I attempt to read the news every morning, and as I’m reading the news, oftentimes I’ll see ads alongside the news story that I’m reading. These can be image ads or text ads, and nine times out of ten, even though I register them, I’m not redirecting my attention from the news to that ad and clicking on it. Instead, I’m more registering it and going about my day, unless it really interrupts me, and then I might think of clicking on it. So as you can see, with the display network, that searcher isn’t necessarily in the mood to search for your products, they’re not actively looking for them – but you can do a great job of branding yourself by ensuring that you’re all over the display network. People are seeing your ads, and recognizing your company. So when you think about the display network, you’re not going to see a lot of direct results, probably not a ton of clicks and conversions, but what you are going to see is people are going to start getting to know your brand. The big difference between these two networks are an active and a passive searcher, and you need to make the decision about which searcher you want to work with first.
