In this video, I show you how to create your Google Shopping Campaign. This is a pretty cool way of selling your PHYSICAL products since the pictures that show up in addition to your ad are much more eye-catching than the regular text ads we have been working on in the previous videos. The way we start this is by first creating a Google Merchant Center account by going to the 'tools' tab in Google AdWords and then clicking on 'Google Merchant Center'. Follow the steps to sign up to the account - you will need to input your website, contact information, etc... You will also need to verify and claim your website by inputting a code that Google gives you onto your site. My site is hosted on Wordpress.com, so I just input the code provided into an area in Wordpress specifically dedicated to Google claiming and verifying the site. After you verify and claim your site, just click on 'verify and claim' and if done properly, your Google Merchant Center account should be successfully created. In order to actually input the products into your campaign, you will need to click on the plus sign under 'feeds'. You will basically have the option to get an excel file that Google already provided for you and can start filling in the blanks to setup your products. A few things you will need to include are the product name, description, ID, website and image links, etc... If you are unsure as to what each of those mean, check out the link I have provided to you earlier: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/7052112?visit_id=1-636306314821168777-784961415&rd=1. This will tell you exactly what each section means, what is required or not required, and what options are available for each section. Also make sure that the price that you insert matches the currency of the country you have selected. After you do this, the excel file will automatically save, so you just need to go back to your Merchant Center and click on 'fetch data'. This will kind of 'upload' the data that you just input into the Center. You may need to refresh several times for it to upload, but don't just sit there and wait for it to load. When I created my first campaign this way I waited for a good hour or two thinking that the results will automatically update, but all I had to do was click refresh to have it updated within 10 seconds! Now that you have your account setup and all your products ready, it is time to actually create your campaign. To do that you need to be in your Google Merchant Center account and on the top right corner click on 'account linking'. On this screen, you will be able to link this account with your Google AdWords account and it should be instantaneous. You can then click on 'create new campaign' and just do the exact same things you have learned in the previous videos - set your bid/budget/name, etc... You can also create a campaign in Google AdWords directly by clicking on 'add new campaign' and then choosing the 'shopping' option. You cannot add products directly in your AdWords account so you will need to go back to your Google Merchant Center and update your excel sheet if you want to make any changes. They should show up within 1-3 days. What you can do in Google AdWords however is create sections for your products to be able to categorize them easier. But aside from that, any changes you want to make will have to be done in the excel sheet. That's it! Here are 3 SEO strategies that will boost your rankings! #1: Focus on content Google has this update called Hummingbird, and with Hummingbird, websites who just have content on everything won't do as well as sites which focus on one single niche and are super thorough. You want to be VERY thorough with your SEO content. Poke holes in your content and fill them all up, so then that way people are like, "This is the end all site "that you should end up reading "if you're interested in dating online." #2: Optimize your title tag and your meta description Have you ever done a Google search, and noticed that every time you do it, there is this link at the top, and then there's this one sentence with a link at the top is called the title tag. And the description below is called the meta description. Now think of it this way, if you search for the phrase online dating, and you don't see the word online dating in neither the title or the description, are you going to click on the result? Well if you are, there's something wrong, because why would you click on a result that isn't related to what you're looking for? In addition to that, have you ever searched for a term like online dating? And have you ever noticed that the word isn't in the title or description? That's because Google tracks who's clicking on what listing, and they've learned that when a keyword is in the listing, that same keyword that you're searching for, they know you're way more likely to click through. So in your title tag and your meta description, make sure you include the keyword. But you can't just add the keyword, "online dating," right? The easiest way and what I would do and I wish it was this simple; I will just put "online dating, online dating, online dating, online dating." If I could put it 20 times so people would know that the article is on online dating, I wish I would get more clicks. But it's not that simple. Yes you have to include the keyword in your title and your description, but it has to be appealing. If it doesn't flow in a sentence, it's not easy to read, and it's not appealing or evoking curiosity, no one is gonna click through. #3: Use Google Search Console Did you know that Google gives you a tool that teaches you how to rank number one on Google? Yes I know that sounds ridiculous but it is true, and it's called Google Search Console. If you're not already a user of it, sign up. It doesn't cost a dollar. You're missing out if you're not using it. I can't emphasize that enough. So now that you're using Google Search Console...give it a few days because it takes some time to populate data. You'll see a screen that shows Search Analytics and this shows you all the pages on your website that are getting you traffic. But the cool thing about Google Search Console is they also show you which articles are getting impressions. Take all the keywords you're getting impressions for and start adding them to your copy. Now we have an article on Instagram, and it teaches you how to get over 300 targeted Instagram followers per day. The article is around 10,000 words. When I first wrote that article, it wasn't 10,000 words, it was roughly 2,500. I went to Google Search Console, I saw all the people that are searching for terms related to the article, I added them within that article. I made it more thorough and you know what? My SEO traffic more than tripled to that article. Yes it is that simple. And when I made that change, it didn't happen right away, but I noticed the results within 50 days. That's not a long time. Now that you've learned these three tips, I challenge you in which I want you to take these tactics and implement them, and then after you implement them, in the next 45 days I want you to leave a comment with your results. Sundar Pichai worked in engineering and product management at Applied Materials and in management consulting at McKinsey & Company. Sundar Pichai joined Google in 2004, where he led the product management and innovation efforts for a suite of Google's client software products, including Google Chrome and Chrome OS, as well as being largely responsible for Google Drive. Sundar Pichai went on to oversee the development of different applications such as Gmail and Google Maps. On 19 November 2009, Sundar Pichai gave a demonstration of Chrome OS; the Chromebook was released for trial and testing in 2011, and released to the public in 2012. On 20 May 2010, Sundar Pichai announced the open-sourcing of the new video codec VP8 by Google and introduced the new video format, WebM. On 13 March 2013, Sundar Pichai added Android to the list of Google products that he oversees. Android was formerly managed by Andy Rubin. Sundar Pichai was a director of Jive Software from April 2011 to 30 July 2013. Sundar Pichai was selected to become the next CEO of Google on 10 August 2015 after previously being appointed Product Chief by CEO, Larry Page. On 24 October 2015 he stepped into the new position at the completion of the formation of Alphabet Inc., the new holding company for the Google company family. Sundar Pichai had been suggested as a contender for Microsoft's CEO in 2014, a position that was eventually given to Satya Nadella. In August 2017, Sundar Pichai drew publicity for firing a Google employee who wrote a ten-page manifesto criticizing the company's diversity policies and arguing that "distribution of preferences and abilities of men and women differ in part due to biological causes and ... these differences may explain why we don't see equal representation of women in tech and leadership". While noting that the manifesto raised a number of issues that are open to debate, Sundar Pichai said in a memo to Google employees that "to suggest a group of our colleagues have traits that make them less biologically suited to that work is offensive and not OK". Sundar Pichai is married to Anjali Pichai and has two children. He lives in Los Altos Hills Pichai's interests include soccer and cricket. If you know your costs are X for your product or service, you got to charge more than that. You don't want to be losing money per sale. Everyone's like, oh my god I'm going to beat my competitors. I'm going to take the Jeff Bezos route and not worry about margins. Well, the reality is, unless you have a big pool of money to blow, you can't do that. You need to make sure it's profitable, including shipping, services, returns, other things like customer service, you need to take everything into account into your price, not just how much it costs for your product or service, but also all the other things like your office space. Once you include all of those things to run your business you'll figure out what you need to sell your product or service for, so you can make a profit. You're not in business just for charity. You need to make a profit and there's nothing wrong with that. The second thing you need to do is understand your target customers. What are your target customers looking for? How do they perceive value when they look at the price? A good example of this is a company called Diamond Foundry. They have figured out how to make diamonds above land. They match all the characteristics of a diamond that you find in the earth and there's really no difference from it. But they found they can do it much cheaper, by making it above land and created these machines to create the exact same composition as it does in the earth, to make a diamond. And when they had really cheap, affordable prices, they found that their sales weren't doing well. Can you guess why? It's because, everyone's like, oh this isn't the same thing, it's too cheap. So the moment they increased their prices, people like, oh wow, the quality of this must be amazing. Sure we'll buy it. There's no difference in the product, but people had the perceived value in their space, that higher price means better diamond. You need to look at your space. It could be that a cheaper price means more sales. Or it could be, cheaper price means fewer sales, because the perceived value isn't there. The third pricing strategy I have for you is anchoring. There's a lot of companies that'll show the initial price of let's say $37 and you may get X, Y and Z, but for $47 you'll get X, Y and Z and also 1, 2 and 3 and also A, B and C, just for $10 more. By using anchoring you'll find that very few people will choose a lower option, which you don't want them to choose, but the majority of the people use the higher option because you're getting so much more value for just a little bit more money. And that'll increase your profitability, especially if those other things that you're adding in don't cost you much at all. The fourth thing I want you to do is A/B test. Using tools like Crazyegg, you can A/B test your pricing, not only to maximize your sales, but also to maximize your profitability. Sometimes getting fewer sales means more profit. Sometimes getting more sales means more profit. In this video, I guide you through creating our first Google AdWords campaign/ad group/ad. The reason for why there are 3 'levels' is because we are able to split up and diversify our ads across different dimensions - the campaign level is generally different in terms of... everything - age, gender, geographic location, time of ads, etc... The ad group is generally different based on keywords, and the ads differ only on ad copy (title, description, URL). The first step we need to take is to actually create our first campaign, and we do that by clicking on the little plus sign on your main Google AdWords screen - just make sure that you select 'campaigns' at the top. You will then need to select whether you want to display videos, search network, display network, or both display and search. Search network will provide you with the most fine-tuned customers assuming your keywords are specific enough. With display settings, your ads will be shown on various websites that you don't have control over, so your traffic generation is likely to be far higher - but not as effective. You will then need to create a Google AdWords campaign name first, and I would recommend naming it specific to what dimension you will be running ads in that campaign to. So if you are focusing on males age 50-64 in this campaign for diabetes, I would suggest naming your campaign something related to that, because it will get messy later on when we mass product and copy paste our existing ads and campaigns over and over again with different dimensions to test out. You will then be able to select the geographic location you want your ads to be displayed in, and the device bid adjustments so that you can control what devices your ads will show to the most. We will get to device bid adjustments later on, but for geographic location, you can select entire countries, states, provinces, cities, etc. If you select 'people living in this area', your ads will show only to people who currently live in that area. If you select 'show to people searching for this location', then your ads will show to anyone who searches for your product in addition to your location - especially useful if you are selling some tourist products and thus don't want your ads to show to people who LIVE in the country you will be touring. Next, we will need to select the budget and the bid. You should set your budget equal to the amount of money you will be OK with losing assuming you don't sell anything at all that day. Don't start throwing in tens of dollars if you know absolutely nothing about your niche! In regards to the bid, this is the amount you set that shows how much you are willing to pay per keyword for your ad to be displayed to others. You are not the only person in the world selling something and targeting a specific keyword - so Google places bids to determine who gets the winning spot for their ad to appear. The higher the bid - the higher the chances that you ad will be displayed, and also the faster you are to run out of your budget. Remember, a bid is a cost PER CLICK, so make sure to set the bid wisely! You can either use manual bidding, where you set your own bid, or enhance bids based on clicks or conversions. This allows Google to play around with your bids and increase your bid at certain intervals if it finds that someone is close to clicking your ad. That's it! 8 Things About SEO to Unlearn in 2019 (And what you should learn RIGHT NOW) // There are SEO tactics that worked really well in 2010, that people are still doing today. Today I'm going to share with you eight things that you need to unlearn when it comes to SEO and what you should be doing in 2019 instead. RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________ Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/ ____________________________________________ I'm curious because if it is, I want to find out what these old school tactics you're leveraging, because I'll show you what to do instead. The first thing I want you to unlearn is only focusing on external links. Everyone's like oh my god, back links is the number one factor in Google. No, there's a ton of factors in Google, and just building links from external sites isn't going to do you justice. You need to also build internal links. If you don't build internal links, your rankings aren't going to climb. If you look at my site, you'll notice that I rank for things like online marketing, and I rank for things like SEO, it's because I'm internal linking my pages together. If you don't internal link, you're not going to do as well. So when you find a good opportunity to internal link, even if it doesn't have the right anchor text, that's okay. You need to do what's best for the user. The second thing I want you to unlearn is, you can't just write content for SEO. Everyone's doing key word research these days. Heck, I even had a tool called Uber Suggest that I've released for free that helps you do a keyword research. But there's an issue. When you see a list of all the other related terms, you may end up taking them and just putting them into your website. Yep, putting them into your website is writing content for search engines. You got to make sure that you're powering the best experience for people because you don't want them reading your dog food article and just be like wait, this just has keywords in there. All that it's doing is just inserting 500 keywords related to dog food and this article doesn't provide any value. The third mistake that you need to unlearn is targeting high traffic key words that have no intent. For example, I rank for terms like SEO. Do you think that terms drive me any business? You would think so, but no, it doesn't, why? Because most people who research that term are just looking to understand what SEO is, how it works. They're not necessarily looking to pay an ad agency. The fourth thing I want you to unlearn is building a lot of back links. Everyone believes that you need quantity. No you don't need quantity. A good example of this is my friend Todd Malicoat. Years and years ago had a forex site, and he ranked on page two of Google in less than six months of creating it. Can you guess how many back links he built? Less than 20. All he did was going to the sites that already rank in the top 500 for the term forex, and he went to those sites and convinced the owners to link to his site. It's not about quantity, it's about quality. The fifth one is SEO is about tactics, tricks and gimmicks. If you look at Google, their mission is to make sure that when someone does a search, they're getting the best most valuable information for them. They don't want them to have to go to five, 10 different pages, they focus on the user. The sixth mistake that you need to unlearn is focusing on rankings. Ahrefs did a study, and do you know what they found out? That the number one listing only gets the majority of the clicks 49% of the times. Rankings aren't everything. For example, I get more traffic than some of the people that rank higher for me for terms like SEO tips because of Rich Snippets. Even though I don't rank at the top, I still get more traffic due to Rich Snippets. When you get included in that, that's what's called ranking zero, you can actually get more traffic. It's not always about ranking number one, it's about ranking for the right terms, providing the best user experience, and eventually slowly climbing up to the top. The seventh mistake that you need to unlearn is focusing on key words in the bad ways. People still stuck key words in their title tags, their meta descriptions, their content. So what worked for some of these people in the past when it comes to key word stuffing won't work for you. And last but not least, content marketing replaces SEO. That's a huge myth, that's not true. Everyone's like yeah if you want to rank, you just need to create a ton of content. Not necessarily. In this video, I show you how to create a video ad on Google AdWords. You can create a video ad on certain websites or YouTube videos/channels. There is some detailed targeting available for you to select when making a video ad. The process is fairly simple. We would first need to select 'create campaign' and click on 'video'. This will allow us to start making out video ads. You would put in the title of your campaign, and select whether you want a bumper ad (6 second video that is unskippable) or a regular video that can be skipped. You would have the option to pay per view or pay per thousand impressions. An impression is when your video ad is seen by the user, but not clicked on, ie viewed. For the pay-per-view option, you would pay even if someone watches a few seconds of your video. The rest of the content on the page is pretty straightforward - bidding, budget, language, country, all covered in the Google AdWords tutorial playlist. You can also set the limit as to how many times you want each individual user to either see and/or view your ad. So if I don't want someone seeing the same ad over and over again, I could set a limit for that individual person to ensure my money isn't being wasted. After we have set all this up, we can click on 'next', and this is where we would set up all the targeting. We can target based on keywords, interests, remarketing, topics, demographics, or specific YouTube channels/websites/videos. ALL of these criteria must be met in order for the ad to show, so it's recommended not to use every single one of these categories when specifying your target audience, otherwise it will get way too narrow. ***One thing to keep in mind for keywords is that unlike our previous text ads, there is no broad, phrase, exact, or broad match modifier types for the keyword. The keyword here is pretty much similar to the 'topics' category, since the keywords are like broad match types. So if someone types something in that is related to your keyword, your ads will still show up in the video list. You can click next after you are happy with your targeting, and you can always go back and edit your choices later on. Make sure to put in your YouTube video (make it unlisted if you don't want anyone to see it except viewers of your ads) as that is what will allow you to make changes to your targeting later on.
