Even if you're not a competitor, your back is an important part of a complete, balanced physique. It's also important to train your back because it should be strong for postural and athletic reasons. You won't be able to squat or do a plank—two essential movements—if your back is weak. Back training often passed over because you can't see your back while you train. You can build up great muscle groups at the front of your body because you can see them in the mirror, but consistently training your lats, traps, rhomboids, and rear delts takes a lot more effort. That's why today, we're going to focus on the back. Another 6 mistakes you MUST avoid when training legs and booty! ♡ Get my workout guides now - https://www.hannaoeberg.com ♡ In this video, I will be guiding you through 6 different leg and butt exercises and common mistakes for these exercises. I will show you how the mistakes usually look and then I will show you the correct technique and movement. By fixing these mistakes you will not only become stronger faster and grow more muscles, you will also avoid injuries and will be able to train more and harder. Full workout with reps and sets: 1. Squats 4set x 10-15reps 2. Leg press 4set x 10-12reps 3. Stiff deadlift 3set x 10reps 4. Pull through 3set x 15reps (2sec squeeze in the top) 5. Sumo squat on bench 4set x 10reps (2sec squeeze in the top) 6. Donkey Kicks 4set x 20reps /leg Information about the workout errors and how to avoid them: 1. Squats - some common mistakes when squatting is to bend over your back so that the pressure is on your back instead of your legs. Another mistake is that you do a dip with your booty. Instead, we want to have a straight back and a controlled movement. Stand shoulder wide, and if you want you can learn the technique without weights, to begin with. 2. Leg press - avoid having your feet and knees like a "V", don't lock out your knees when pressing up and last don't tilt up your lower back when pressing at the start. To do it correctly, place your feet and knees at the same angle/line. Press slowly and controlled, have your lower back and booty pressed at the seat. 3. Stiff deadlifts - When performed wrong you might have straight knees and legs and a bent back, which means the back is doing most of the lifting. We don't want this, instead, we want to bend our knees and legs slightly, keep a straight back during the whole exercise and let our hamstrings work. 4. Cable pull through - the most common mistake for this exercise is doing it too fast with no control. To do it right: stand shoulder wide, slightly bend your knees and a straight back once again. Pull up the weights in a controlled movement and squeeze the weights with your glutes at the top. 5. Sumo squats with a weight, standing on a bench - A wrong performance might be when you perform the exercise with a bent back and your knees are pointing inwards. To do it correctly: Point your toes a bit outwards to the sides, lock your back in a straight position. Press from the heels and upwards to really target the glutes. Once again, squeeze the booty at the top of the exercise. 6. Donkey kicks - A typical mistake is to swing up your legs which pressures your lower back quite a bit. Instead, we want to do it correctly and do slow and strict repitions. To workout the correct weight for you you need to test your first set. Pick a weight you feel comfortable with and see how many reps you can do, if you can do more than the recommended rep range it’s too light, if you can’t reach the rep range its too heavy. Aim to up your weight every 2 weeks to see progress. Bodyweight: Squats, Mobility Squats Front Squats Back Squats Bosu Get Ups Machines: Leg Press variations, Leg Extension variations, Leg Curl variations. So I've been promising this video to you all for so long and I finally got it together! This is the routine that started it all! I repeated these same workouts for the first 6 months of my weight loss journey until getting my first "Big Gym" membership.. Obviously most (if not all) these moves were much harder than I may make them look. GOOD news is there's variations/modifications for pretty much everything I showed you in this video. My current workouts are a bit more intense with HIIT incorporated as I am still doing my best to get the rest of this extra baby weight off as well as lose a total of about 25-30 more lbs before getting my skin removed. At first I told myself I had to do sport so I can feel better in my mind and my body. I had to start this journey, I think I needed it. I was at this point you don't feel great or proud when trying clothes in fitting room while shopping. I thought I was like this because of genetic, I had try to run everyday and starve me but nothing had changed, I was a bit fat and there was nothing to do, I had to live with it. And then my boyfriend convinced me that if I wanted to change I could, it was my choice. And thanks to him, I trusted his words and pushed through my limits since then. If you don't feel good right now, just stop asking yourself and start to do something, stop telling you it's too hard for you, 'cause I did it and if I did, you can, I promise. Trust me. When you're doing all you can to be the best version of yourself you can't tell you negative stuff because you give so much, so the only thing you can feel is pride and serenity. Plus, you will have progress and that is really motivating and then it became a way of life, a routine and it's part of your schedule to go to the gym or go for a run, now it's not so hard to push yourself to go sweat. I think changing my not so healthy teenage routine to a much healthier routine is one of the best gift I have made to myself, because it changed it all. Please READ this box for more info. Best exercises to GAIN WEIGHT for skinny women. This workout plan is based on full body Compound Exercises. Compound exercises are those that involve more than one joint and muscle group. They are more efficient and effective for muscle growth. Method: 10 exercises, 4 sets per exercises, 45 -- 60 seconds of rest in between sets. Set 1 - Choose weight that will be manageable for 12 reps. Set 2 - Increase the weight slightly to which you can only accomplish 10 reps. Set 3 - Increase the weight even more to which you can only accomplish 8 reps. Set 4 - For the final set, lift even heavier weight to reach failure at 6 reps. Workout Schedule: Only 3 - 4 times weekly on alternate days. *It is important to know that it is NOT in the gym you achieve growth, it is when you rest and recover. Hence, a full workout day should be followed by a rest day to assure full recovery and growth. Workout Duration: No more than 60 minutes per session. Progression: Perform these exercises for 4 - 6 weeks. As you progress, lift even heavier weights and increase to 5 or 6 sets per exercise.
