In this video men's style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert Aaron Marino of http://www.iamalpham.com, http://www.aaronmarino.com and http://www.peteandpedro.com shares 7 brands that won't break the bank. You don't need to spend a ton of cash to look good, you just need to know where to shop!
In this video men's style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert, Aaron Marino of IAmAlphaM, AaronMarino, and Pete & Pedro calls out 7 affordable style options for men that are worth your hard earned money. Sign up for mailing lists if you like a specific brand as you will receive coupons!
1. The Tie Bar - $10 pocket squares and $19 ties and bow ties. The options are mind blowing with a zillion combinations and options. Alpha doesn't understand sending a lot of cash on ties, and he saves his cash!
2. The GAP - great for staples and is Alpha's personal pick and go-to place. It works for all ages. It's a poor man's J. Crew. All of Alpha's jeans are from The GAP at around $59.
3. Macy's American Rag - they make a good selection of affordable options and the quality is *good enough*
4. H&M and Forever 21 - the quality is terrible (it gets rough real fast) so it'll last a few months to a year
5. Cole Haan - for the $100 - $200 range, the quality, style, comfort is check check check! Also Johnson Murphy is another great option. You need to balance quality with affordability.
6. Zappos.com - for the odd shoe sizes and widths, this site has pretty much anything!
7. JC Penney - Alpha used to be skeptical but after Alpha M. Project, he is not skeptical anymore.
Morten Aanstad what you said right there was what you should have said in the beginning, I’m sorry about what I said I just miss interpreted your comment, you seem like a nice dude that just likes leather boots, I didn’t mean to offend you, have a nice day sir
You played the victim card by saying "that was really offensive", "I hate you", and "I don't like that you're calling me an unstylish bum", and I personally know that Alpha M for example who made this video is way richer and more muscular than me, and I'm probably an unstylish bum compared to him, so I have something to strive for. However, when I take people like you into consideration who wear skater shoes, are only 14 years old, think highly of school, and still live with their parents, then my life is way more glamorous and free in comparison. You always have to know who you're better than and worse than to become successful.
Also, leather boots are not dress shoes, and they can easily be paired with everyday clothes and be both dressed up with chinos and a top coat or dressed down with jeans and a leather jacket. Skater shoes can never be dressed up, and they're associated with kids unlike leather boots which are associated with adults and successful businessmen. There are also leather shoes that are more casual than others. Dress shoes can also be dressed down with black jeans, but of course you'd need the top to be more semi-formal
Morten Aanstad ok, based on the information you just told me, it was wrong of me to assume you were not strong, and I’m sorry for that, but also think you to are being arrogant, I say this because: you thought that you were too good to admit that wearing leather shoes and probably dress pants and shirts probably makes you look more mature, notice I said the word PROBABLY, I used this word because I personally wouldn’t pair everyday clothes with dress shoes, and cause you think that me arguing against your points about me having no life, no money, and my home being a prison makes me a victim, I won’t, even though I could say the same about you, and I honestly could care less if you think something about me, whether that be calling me an unstylish bum, or the fact that my materialistic things effect the way you look at someone, so go ahead: hit me with your best shot, your most hurtful comment, your most witty comeback, see if I care
There you go again; using the victim card and being offended that you were being called an unstylish bum because you're too arrogant to admit that you are one, as well as too arrogant to admit that you have no life, no real money, and that you're not free. You're also an unstylish bum because you still live with your bum and go to school. And don't you act like you're innocent, because you did assume that I'm wearing something as unstylish and overpriced as fashion sneakers and arrogantly assumed that I'm dressing like your grandpa. And yes, there's a standard for what's stylish and not.
And to talk about something else than rowing (though I will say that it was rowing for 15 minutes, pause, then repeat for over an hour, so it's no different than compound rowing), I ironically went to the gym after my last reply and had a session consisting of:
- 15 reps, 3 sets of 131 lbs chest press
- 15 reps, 3 sets of 40 lbs hammer curl
- 10 reps, 3 sets of 131 lbs compound rowing
- 6 minutes abs workout consisting of planks and crunches
- 5 minutes of intense sprint (way more useful than jogging for a mile)
And I do have friends, but I dump my darker side on those who do not matter so that my friends can get my full love and attention, and it also gives me the fuel to strive for even more success and status
Morten Aanstad your arguments would be a lot better if you stopped bringing them back to the fact that I don’t have “style”, my opinion on style is probably different that yours which shouldn’t matter, I don’t like that you call people with no style bums, because that is very arrogant and shallow, rowing a boat is not hard, and why would you row for fifteen minutes, are you stupid, try biking 2 miles on a BMX bike standing in 10 minutes, and right after coming home and running and doing push-ups, you using curse words to swear makes your argument weaker cause it shows you had nothing intelligent to say, I don’t know why you got so triggered from the fact that I said: I have never spent $60 on shoes, I also feel like you keep replying to me because you don’t get to talk to many people because the way you talk makes you sound like a stuck up rich dude that thinks the only thing that matters are: what you wear and if it’s expensive, and you don’t care about how a person is on the inside
I like the designs of Zara in many ways, but I buy items there and they literally fall apart so fast!!! The sweaters are dust collectors and get really matted. The jeans always have extra baggy room in the ass and crotch area and skinny on legs. The T shirts are flimsy... After washing Zara items it is like they are horrible looking... Whats your thoughts on all that or ever experience this? have a good day man! What do you think of Armani Exchange I find good quality there and decent prices...?
I love Jos. A Bank and you can find great sales at the end of each season. I also love their slim fit jeans. They are the best quality and fit I have ever owned. Their Traveler shirts are fantastic. They are easy to iron, hold their shape and form and too me, have a better quality material than Ralph Lauren or Nautica or Vineyard Vines.
Alpha I love all your style tips and general advice, thank you for all the advice. I just wanted to know if you've checked out RW&CO from the Reitman's brand? Seems like great quality at an affordable price.
My budget is 0-200 for t shirts
0-50 for pants
0-300 for hoodies
0-500 for jackets
0-700 for shoes
0-3000 for watches
0-2000 for jewelry
With all that being said could someone make me an outfit within my budgets?
For casual shoes, another great brand I've found in that $100-200 range is BullBoxer. Fantastic style and ridiculously good quality for the price. Their all leather high tops and sneakers are great for guys in their early/mid-20's who want a more high-minded look without going full "serious adult" just yet.
One excellent store for affordable men's fashion is ClassyMenCollection. I've used their stuff for a while now and they seem pretty solid to me :) Something that can be compared with them is H&M and Asos.
