Hi Manish, can you clear me something? example: After creating table EMP > inserted 4 rows into EMP table with sequence which has created id's from 1 to 4 now we had truncated the table, so again when we insert the rows into table the sequence is starting from 5 not from 1, can you please let me know how to reset sequence id? and if we delete row 3 which is having emp_ id = 3 how to insert the same id value?

what is "dual"? and we don't know how it increment.
Joshua Dobson (11 months ago)
Dual is basically a dummy table. It's virtual, holds no values, and is just there to fill in for the FROM clause. Without it, the Select statement wouldn't run

Goodnight, I want to know if you can use the SENTENCES to put SEQUENCE alphanumeric data. As for putting a field like this: MM- 001, MM- 002 , MM - 003 and so on. Thank you very much , greetings from Dominican Republic !!
