This video is excellent! I recently bought a Conair French Braider tool and had no luck using it based on the package instructions. I watched a few other videos, but they were somewhat confusing. This tutorial, however, is clear with its instructions, not muddled with commentary and gets to the tool use straight away. I highly recommend watching and saving this video if you have one of the french braider tools or are possibly in the market for one. Also, I will add I am horrible at braiding and due to this tool and video, I have been successful! Enough said, happy braiding all!

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but mine keeps turning out awful, it doesn't even look like a braid. Even with a simple tool I can't braid! :(
Anie Pluto (6 months ago)
The French Braid is one of my favorite hair styles and I bought this tool to finally French Braid. It works, but its a bit difficult when you do it by yourself and you may need a second mirror just to see what you are doing behind you. But it works!

Hay que ser demasiado inutil para hacer una trenza francesa con separador 😂😂😂
Joy Franey (7 months ago)
So this is probably a dumb question can you Dutch braid with this tool . I assume not because you go in an underneath kind of direction

Great video

I might have to get a second one for a mother of one of my daughters friends as she has cerebral palsy so can't even braid doing every thing with one hand.
Cyrus Hale (9 months ago)
This is going to make my 6 year old look slick! I've got the tools, now the process.
Azucena Marquez (9 months ago)
Es más tardado hacer las trenzas con eso que con tus manos
ReiKoko (10 months ago)
i only just heard of this tool and i think it's an amazing idea. personally, i'm TERRIBLE at doing my own hair and can barely manage a basic plait/braid, let alone a french braid! this would help me practice a lot. it DOES look like it would take a bit longer, but i still think that it would be a fantastic tool for those who aren't good at hair (like myself) or those have difficulty doing hair due to physical conditions. also, a slow tutorial makes it much easier to follow. whoever came up with this tool is a genius :D
Liliana Viscido (10 months ago)
What a nice video! just a question: can i use it for a tradicional braid? Thanks
Naomi Morales (10 months ago)
A lot yall seem to forget not everyone can do this. I have arthritis carpal tunel on my hands and can not do much. And lets not forget the single fathers with little girls who try their best making sure they comb their hair properly this is a good staryer kit for them.
cody rea (16 days ago)
Amen to that, and people need to just stop judging people period.....thanks naomi

thank you for this tutorial. I can't braid forehand and I was wondering how the tool worked
Shadowstar1917 (1 year ago)
This seems so much slower....
Clara Philippe (1 year ago)
Does it work if you have so much hair ?
Thisia Sayers (1 year ago)

Is this easy to do without someone's help? I am not very coordinated when it comes to braiding my hair.. yes I know, shame! Just curious if it's as easy as it looks. I would love to do a French braid myself.
suzy sukri (1 month ago)
It's not easy to do it on your own. You need somebody's help. :)
Jenny Jacob (1 year ago)
Can you also do Dutch braids with this? Great video!!
Lauren Mason (1 year ago)
I have been trying to french braid my hair for YEARS and my friends get mad when I ask them to do it, so this is helpful. However, this tool is especially not easy to use by yourself. I can tell that it's the semblance of a french braid, but I can tell it's going to take a lot of practice for it to look as good as the one in the video, especially by myself.
Victoria Marza (1 year ago)
So after you add the hair you didn't go from 2,4 again. Not a very good tutorial.
Chantel Dyson (1 year ago)
If you are doing it yourself how do you hold in place
Jackie Allen (9 months ago)
You pick up a strand cross over the top. You only add sections of hair to the outer edges and wrap over the middle, or under for a dragons tail..... Once my friend told me pickmul a strand wrap over the top it takes practice. However if this tool works for you then good what ever accomplishes your goal works right
Diane Albano (1 year ago)
it stays in place when you put your hair in
panny rise (1 year ago)
why do you move camera? for what?

Its really good
Michael Weinberg (1 year ago)
great video. If others said it looks like too much work, or this is a bad video - that's cause those people just suck at life - this is a great video. I'm a single dad and picked this up right away after watching !!!
le chat (1 year ago)
+Michael Weinberg - WOW! Great dad :))
many thanks! everything is now clear! The model is a very nice girl!!!
Morgan Abbott (1 year ago)
does anyone else feel like that is just making it more complicated than it needs to be? it also seems to take longer to braid with that than if you were to just do it regularly
being woken (11 months ago)
Oh hun, not everyone can do it, this actually makes it easier for others who can't braid their hair. :)
Felicia H (1 year ago)
Morgan Abbott It's not easy for everyone to french braid hair.
Charissa E (1 year ago)
Much easier to just use fingers
Emily Orriginal (1 year ago)
Okay sorry for all the negative comments you got!! Thank you for this tutorial. I haven't been able to French braid my own hair (or really even braid it) in over two years because of neuropathy in my hands. This was a huge help because I needed a visual in order to learn how to use this thing! I've still got some practicing to do, but I successfully made a French braid!! And for the assholes going "it's easier/faster to use your hands." No not for everyone it is not. This was most likely designed with disabled people in mind.

thank you for your post! I have a 5 year old daughter and dream of French braiding her hair but due to arthritis in my wrist and hand I can no longer braid her hair or even my hair anymore because I can't grip it! I am looking for things to help me to do those cute styles still.
lesil1000 (1 year ago)
And it's for people like me who just suck at French braiding their own hair lol
Celeste Parks (1 year ago)
Emily Orr you are exactly right!! There are so many people with health problems who can no longer braid their hair and this looks like an amazing tool to help those folks out! God bless you!!
I just bought a braid tool yesterday and this video is quite helpful. Do you have videos to use it for side braids or make a braided headband?
Mona Ty (2 years ago)
Easier to do it on ur own just practice
Michael Weinberg (1 year ago)
single daddies need hair tools like this, even with practice...
Emily Orriginal (1 year ago)
Mona Ty not for everyone. I have neuropathy in my hands so I can't hold a braid tight, but now I can actually braid because of this tool. I can almost guarantee you it was designed for disabled individuals.
Veronica Armijo (2 years ago)
Was doing fine til the camera changed angles 😡😡😡😠
Mia Wang (2 years ago)
I bought the tool for months and finally trying it out the first time. It works for me . The tool is very steady on my head and suprisely easy to use . One pro about this tool is , it doesnt make your arms sore lol However, it only helps for the top - middle potion of the braid . Overall, good beginner tool . If you already know how to braid, dont bother with this tool. If you are completely new and bad at braiding , give it a try .
luvezacharias (2 years ago)
Really bad video how can you remember?!
Cherry_420 (9 months ago)
By hitting that pause button!
being woken (11 months ago)
Omg. You can always go back to the part where it tells you where to put your hair on the tool, even gives numbers so its easier to remember, you just have to repeat after that. 😑
Julia (1 year ago)
luvezacharias play the video again
Michael Weinberg (1 year ago)
so the video sucks cause you have a bad memory?

Katie Saunders (2 years ago)
if I let go of it would it stay in place? I'm thinking of getting one as I can't do French braids.
It pretty much says in place. I gotten one awhile back from a local store and takes some practice; but it works. It is pretty easy as you just repeat the same steps, you just need to remember the order (but it comes with instructions). I hadn't really tried it with other types of braids yet.
Yamilet Sarahi Silva (2 years ago)
Katie Saunders it stays but it's hard to do by yourself but with practice you can do every kind of braid c: (sorry for English)
purdybby none (2 years ago)
So you need some to do it for u that's annoying
Coripwnsu (2 years ago)
you can do it yourself. You can alternate holding it with one hand and putting the hair into the different sections with the other. Just keep in mind you'll probably need to re-tighten the hair. I tried it myself and it got a bit loose so I had to keep pulling the hair through.
Glitter (2 years ago)
this helped me
Ada Encarnacion (2 years ago)
that looks like too much work I rather do it with my fingers
Cyrus Hale (9 months ago)
Ada Encarnacion try not being able to use more than 3 sections. A mother of one of my daughters friends has cerebral palsy so can't even braid.
Blue Kitty (1 year ago)
Ada Encarnacion it's not when u get it I learned supper quick I so much easier
Jaylan Lindsey (1 year ago)
It is not for you. If you know how to do it then ok. Some people can not braid their hair.
Michael Weinberg (1 year ago)
then why did you watch ? just sayin you commented like this was a review of a product - but its a tutorial for people that already decided they are good with the product - see how your comment is useless and kinda of just annoying?
Purple Ash (2 years ago)
Front look a little sloppy
Musunuri. Priya (2 years ago)
how to get a tool like that??
Julia (1 year ago)
Musunuri. Priya buy in Claire's
Probably depends on where you live. I gotten my from a local store (Walgreens), so you can probably find it at stores like that or beauty supply stores; but I am sure you can order it online as well. The brand I bought is from Conair.
MoreThanAName03 (2 years ago)
Daisy Dianna same!
Oof (2 years ago)
I got mine at target
Marine (2 years ago)
Sharon Webb (2 years ago)
that looks really slow
Purple Ash (2 years ago)
A tutorial is meant to be slow. What's the point of going fast?
xtafpfhr (2 years ago)
what the artist name and song name of the soundtrack in your video? awesome music :D
Creatieve Girls (2 years ago)
